TrustpilotI have had the most awful experience…
I have had the most awful experience with Leaders Southsea, I was due to move into one of their properties at the end of last month. We didn't get any update even when we call almost everyday to know how the process is going. Bear in mind we have made payments. We were told on the moving in date that they needed to fix something in the property and should take a week. Few days later we were told we can only get the key at 3pm on the new move in date. Now on the day we got another call to say the key won't be ready at 3 but 5pm now. So we have done from one week late, to 3pm and 5pm. No one is giving me any useful information and why or what the delay is about

Extremely poor management of property, consequently very unhappy tenants but as landlords we cannot escape a punitive contract and therefore get better management for our tenants. End result the tenants will be given notice at the end of their tenancy period.Their data protection is horrendous we now have the bank details of another of their clientsSo to add to the above:Leaders faults:• Serious data breach.• Leaders have not carried out the 6 monthly property inspections as in our agreement.• Even when repairs were authorized Leaders did not check that repairs were completed by their contractors to a reasonable standard.• Tenants have informed of problems, but Leaders has ignored them.• Their property managers change with such frequency that neither ourselves nor the tenants have any reliable and consistent contact.• One property manager has already agreed that management has been poor which is why the property is now managed from yet another group in Manchester.And to top it all off we cannot end our contract with them without paying a punitive exit fee. Other landlords beware of what you sign.

I was really pleased with the service I received when selling my property. Micheal was friendly and knowledgeable when he came to give me an estimate for my property, he was confident in what he thought and he wasn’t wrong. The property had an offer of asking price with in 5 days. Through to completing, the team at Leaders were great.

We experienced the most horrific customer service throughout dealing with you. It never at any point felt like anyone wanted to help us and the person who valued our house generally having an attitude and pricing it based on nothing more than what the last house sold for. Not interested at all in details of our house - if you didn’t want the sale don’t offer to value. We then had our offer accepted but the house price was reduced without even a message or call to let us know with context. When contacting they said were in the right to do what they what essentially. We were also scared in to inferring we wouldn’t be able to afford the house saying we needed full financial background checks above the standard. This wasn’t the case after a call. When collecting our keys we couldn’t actually reach anyone at the branch so had to turn up on a whim. I would NEVER choose to work with Leaders again and will be ensuring to share this with everyone and anyone selling or buying.

My experience from viewing to moving has been super smooth with Leaders. They are reliable and the staff are extremely friendly. My agent Mohammad Abul Ahsan was very helpful and supportive throughout the reference checking process and moving process. The procedure is straight forward and systematic all through their website. Glad to have come across this agency during my house hunt.

We had a really good experience with Leaders Reigate, dealing mostly with Harriet S and Ella R - we signed up to many agencies in the area, and no other agency was as responsive and so proactive in sending us through available lettings and organizing viewings for us as Leaders were - very happy, and would use them again in future :)

I’d rate fewer than one if I could. The whole experience with this company was tiresome and disappointing. Lack of communication, lack of interest in helping people, and a general sense of feeling as though you’re being annoying if you dare to ask for any news (because they essentially ghost you) is just the start. To top it all off, the agent we had to deal with has lied when we’ve made a formal complaint. Untrustworthy, and disappointing sums up their “customer service”. I look forward to their insincere automated response.

Avoid if possible, very very slow to fix problems and a nightmare to get in touch with their credit control team. Taken me 2 months of leaving messages and emails and still no response. Eventually left property and received email to confirm will get full deposit back within 3-5 days this did not happen and when we received the refund it was the incorrect amount now we are struggling to get hold of someone again, just very very poor customer service. Would not recommend.

Never ever using leaders again. From beginning to end it has been mistake after mistake. Maintainence, rent payment handling, communication, LOSS of paperwork & data. Has been the most unpleasant time in my life. The property slowly decaying month after month due to the fact they don’t care after you have paid. 4 property managers in 9 months is ridulous, clear to see the staff don’t enjoy it too. Been passed from every leaders in the district & fobbed up with meaningless apologies when some of the issues were quite serious.
