As a landlord of a property managed by the Leaders branch in Stroud for two years, the service has been appalling. Zero internal communication and record-keeping. Emails and phone calls unanswered for days. In once recent case of an emergency leak, the Stroud branch was entirely unresponsive, meaning I had to deal with the issue myself from over 200 miles away.

I do not recommend

I was renting a property with Leaders for 8 months and it was extremely uncomfortable having to deal with them. Not only do they communicate extremely poorly and never call back after saying they will but they are also incredibly inconsiderate and stress inducing.They were arranging Home inspections just a month after I had moved in!!and viewings for the house whilst I was still living there and not even giving me 1 hour of notice, just a text message from someone I'd never spoken to or heard of before telling me it was happening in an hour. I wasn't in the house at the time so of course this was incredibly stressful because all my personal belongings were just in there unattended. someone could have stolen my valuables etc.(And yes they could have because anyone who has ever gone to a house viewing knows that they let you roam around the house freely)Then the Constant harassing me for my new address even though I have moved to a different country AND they do not need it as they didn't deal with any of the bills or 3rd party suppliers for the property. I did it all myself but they were emailing me every day to get my new address after me politely refusing and stating that they have my contact details, they do not need my new address.And now I have been moved out for a month and I still do not have my deposit back even after the amount being agreed by everyone and they have closed my depository case before I pressed the "I have received my money" button.No communication or indication that I am even getting my money back. The list goes on but summary is: overall 0 respect for you as a person, no respect for personal space or privacy and just difficult to deal with. I'd recommend just spend the little bit extra and go with a decent estate agents that will actually treat you like a human with a home. (I have screenshots and evidence of all of this by the way)

Appalling Company

I would give a 0 star review if I could. We haven’t even moved into the property yet but the issues have already begun. First they did not tell us the details of where to send the money so we contacted them to find out and received the details, 14 days after the first payment was due they email us with their bank details which is ridiculous enough and then the reference number on it is different to the one we were initially told. We receive a follow up email saying they haven’t got our money and can we send proof of payment we send that and receive no response, I follow up and no response. A week after the initial email we get an email threatening to evict us for lack of payment. The communication from them is awful, feels like they’re just trying to scam us because we are students. I would recommend no one use them.

The worst letting agency I’ve ever come…

The worst letting agency I’ve ever come across in the UK. They try to steal the most out of you. Knowing that we were international students and that we were in a hurry, we were made to pay 25% more than the actual rent for the house. Their service of providing the keys on the agreed date was worse. We waited for 4 hrs outside their office just to get the keys. They also lured us to the property saying the bills were included in the rent only to then deny that on the day before we agreed to rent the property, knowing that we had no where else to go at this point of time. At the end of tenancy, the agency worked with the landlord to scrap out 550 pounds off of each of the 5 tenants summing up to a staggering ~2.5k pounds worth of repairs, where we estimated the amount to not cross 1000 pounds. This is this just criminal. Highly recommended to not deal with these guys.

3 years with them, overall very good.

We rented with Leaders for about 3 years. It's obviously not easy to leave all parties happy all the time, but I believe Leaders was most of the time very fair, and I would recommend the company. We would have stayed with them but the Landlord wanted to gain possession of the property. Tikal Betz helped us with the end of the tenancy and she was very responsive, efficient and helpful. As I said, overall we had a very good experience with them.

Unpleasant Experience Over and Over

Been trying to rent a property in a certain area in Derby for months now and every time a property becomes available... I feel I’ve been left at the back of the queue.
