Paula McCafferty from the Northwich branch has been amazing to us. We moved in earlier this year and we're straight away assigned Paula as our main contact. We had an issue with a leak which was dealt with quickly, followed by an issue with a leaking shower which was resolved by fitting a brand new shower within a couple of days. Since moving in to now, any issues we've had have been dealt with quickly and professionally, the best rental company that we've rented from by a mile!

I was renting for two and a half years in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth in the Round House. The property manager for my flat was Vanessa Dickson. I am very glad with her efforts assisting me during this period. I would like to mention that she had to deal with many different and complex issues during this period, like even with afire incidence at the building. She was always very helpful and glad to help, using always her common sense.

TrustpilotAfter 20 years of renting a garage
After 20 years of renting a garage, the Landlord decided to make some updates (these were needed 15 years ago) my husband has maintained the property even building new doors because they were rotten and no help from agent or landlord. Since the updates have been made, the landlord has increased the rental 100%. Recent communication shows the lack of respect and care for their clients. They speak to you with such disrespect that you are left feeling angry. They come across as immature and lacking professional training. We will avoid ever having to deal with Leaders as a company in the future, I would also advise anyone reading this to avoid them too.

TrustpilotAvoid the worst letting agents
Worst letting agents I have ever had to deal with, they don't care about tenants, will happily leave you without heating or hot water with only the solution to boil a kettle to fill your bath. They would happily do everything they can not to help you, wont even do things which are in the landlords interest. All their staff read from a text book which is very well rehearsed, even their senior staff read from the same book.

I have rented several houses through various agencies - this one seems to like grabbing money for old rope and charging tennants for everything - even yearly to renew contracts - also good luck getting any money you are owed back from them at the end of tenancy for over paid rent. Very slow at responding to emails - I would add that the chap that does the house inventory checks is very nice and professional

We set high standards for ourselves across our business and are disappointed that your experience with us hasn’t been a more positive one.In respect of your comments around the fee’s we charge to tenants we are a clear and transparent agent that advertise our fees to disclose all charges and do not add fees later on down the line of any tenancy; renewal fees for tenants are something we charged for along with many other agents prior to the tenant fee ban however with the recent changes in legislation these are not charged moving forward on tenancy’s which were entered into on or after the 1st of June 2019.It’s a shame to hear of the issues you’ve had around communication, we try to be contactable for our customers by responding quickly but can only apologise that the team haven’t done this. We’re aware that you’ve been waiting on a return of overpaid rent due to leaving the property early, as the rent was paid over to the Landlord we have had to request that they return these funds to us to pass onto yourself or pay them across to you directly which the Landlord has agreed to do. We appreciate that its inconvenient for you having to wait on these funds but can assure you that we’ve been trying to help sort this. We’d like to offer our apologies for any dissatisfaction caused here and really regret that you feel the service you’ve received hasn’t been up to the standards expected of us. As a Tenant. I have found Leaders in Felixstowe to be excellent. Every time i have a had query or an issue. They have dealt with it promptly and professionally. When i have had something Important to deal with, thats it. Done. I like that, i like that a lot. To top it off if i roll up at the office, i get a nice welcome. Should i ever decide to move. I moved my property to Leaders in Sevenoaks after months of it lying fallow. They found a great tenant in about 24 hours - which was lucky. Then they got them to sign and closed the deal tight, which was skillful. They have been brisk and efficient to deal with in all matters leading up to a successful handover. They're a very impressive team, always on the ball, disarmingly good on detail, and great to do business with.

If you are renting a house from Leaders just take lots of videos and photos and send them by E mail for a proof. When you start your tenancy house and carpets won't be cleaned. When we enquire they will say it is what it is. When we move out even though we cleaned everything including carpet and painted the house they will deduct a lot of money from your deposit. Just be careful.

The best rental agency I have worked with, so far. I know that all of them has some issues, but Sophie and her colleagues have been awesome. During my summer holidays, they contacted me to tell me that yhey had found the perfect flat for me and my family. I couldn't believe it, after being searching for years (not kidding). Not only, they found the right property, but also kept it for me to visit it after my holiday. (Everyone knows that if there's a good place to rent, it's gone before you say anything).Fantastic experience and highly recommend it.
