Cheltenham Leaders

Cheltenham Leaders. Branch manager gave the keys to the property we were renting to a cleaning company even after I specifically told them not to give keys out to anyone. When we first moved in the washing machine we were told we had to keep in the flat absolutely stank, so we requested for it to be cleaned. As well as asking a bare wire at knee height be covered as we had an 18 month old toddler. I explained I would let the contractors in myself as I didn’t want uncontrolled access to the property. Leaders ignored my request and allowed the contractor to enter. I challenged this as soon as I got home and the branch manager assured me that he hadn’t given the keys out. On the second day the contractor let themselves back in with the keys they had been given. When I complained, leaders protected their branch manager who clearly lied to me and essentially accused me of lying. Unbelievably poor, would avoid using Leaders. Fast, friendly service

Leaders were lifesaver whilst I was looking for a pet friendly rental. They went the extra mile in helping persuade the landlord to accept pets and arranging a short notice viewing. The followup to begin the process of applying was quick and efficient. Information on additional options such as Zero Deposit and content insurance were offered but not pushed excessively. Would highly recommend them as a tenant

Terrible organisation

My partner and I booked a house viewing with Leaders; and no one showed up. When we called we were told that no one had booked us in even though we had made sure to call them to book it. We were offered another viewing of the same property the next day, but were once again stood up. It turned out they had cancelled all viewings that day without notifying any customers of this, leaving me, my partner and another woman waiting about the property for ages.

HAYWARDS HEATH LETTINGSTerrible experience, partly down to an awful landlord but they didn't really help - everything was a 'grey area', not their fault. Had to eventually escalate to the CEO of Leaders to get some sort of action. Not having a reliable source of hot water and heating for over 7 days during the coldest time of the year with an elderly dog - unacceptable. Now having to go to small claims court to sue the Landlord as this isn't part of the 'deposit' apparently although its part of the contract - weird.Still waiting for deposit issues to be resolved through TDS - they got a quote to clean some dust, cobwebs, crumbs and 2 leaves for a 7 room house for £423 - someone's making a good profit somewhere.Whole host of issues with the property. Even more amusing the landlord gave them a fantastic review thats on their website. Guess they did a good job the money they charged us for a property not fit to be let. Another agent told us they had refused to take the property on - we quickly found out why.

Watch out for the Spark Energy arrangement...

Came here to point out an issue new tenants might encounter. You may be asked in store if you want your details passed to Spark Energy, you may even be asked to sign a utilities consent form to switch suppliers, but rest assured - none of that matters because Leaders will include a condition in the tenancy agreement to sign you up to Spark Energy regardless of your decision.In my case, Leaders signed us up to Spark Energy before the tenancy even started, which caused problems when trying to switch supplier.

£36 for a reference!!!

Will charge you £36 to give an email/phone reference to your next landlord, and refuse to give it until the fee is paid, so essentially holding you to ransom. Charge you £60 per year to renew the contract via an electronic document and won't let you have a longer contract. Charge you hundreds in fees.Edit: Leaders replied with normal corporate spiel, saying I could contact their customer service email address and they'd "look into it". No they wont! Its a management level decision to charge their tenants £36 for a reference so they can leave the company... what is going to be helped by emailing customer services? NOTHING! Unless you want to be held to random, charged £60 for tenancy renewals (which come via e-docs) then I'd look elsewhere. Also, 1 star!

Amazing experience

Right from the start, when placing our house sale into Leaders hands, we were given a realistic sale price for our house and the whole selling procedure was set up in a matter of days. When the advertising went 'live' the house was sold within two days. Throughout those two days we were constantly being kept 'in the loop' with information on every prospective buyer's visit and offer. Throughout the process I was particularly impressed with the level of communication, not only to me, but also within the sales team. Utter incompetence (Derby)

Cannot find a reason to give praise. God awful service from start to finish. Utter imcompitance in filling in legal documents, the inability to take off shoes during inspections, tardyness in time keeping and unable to tell the truth.I think 1 star (the lowest available) is not low enough for this company. The previously named IMS had equally bad reviews which disappeared when they changed the company name.Steer well clear and don't be fooled by the fake positive reviews.

My partner and I were looking for a 2 bedroom flat to rent and came across one run by leaders. We met a lady called Eve at the Bury St Edmund's Branch and she answered all my questions during the 1st viewing and reassured us. We then asked for a second viewing which didn't have to happen but Leaders made it work.From paying the fees to getting the keys the process was fast and whenever there were delays we were notified via email or over the phone. This is definitely an agency you can trust and will get things done right even if it takes a little longer. Eve looked after us throughout the process and gave outstanding customer service especially on the deadline day where we picked up the keys!

I have dealt with Leaders Horsham Office

I have dealt with Leaders, as a Landlord, for the last 15 years, and have let property to a number of Tenants. One key reason for this is Leaders strength in marketing, as over that time, void periods have been virtually non-existent. On a more personal level my experience has been that Leaders staff, over the years, have consistently stepped in to support whenever it has been required, in instances going the extra mile. I have always found the staff to be open and straightforward to deal with and diligent in what they do.

What a fab team at the Crewe Office of…

What a fab team at the Crewe Office of Leaders. They found me a tenant in 4 days, at one of the hardest times of the year, just before Christmas. A leading estate agent in Newcastle had not found me a tenant in 5 weeks - thank goodness someone put me onto Leaders.Definitely will be using them again, very professional and don't sit round waiting for something to happen, they actively work hard to find you the ideal tenant.

Poor check out report. Filthy flat

Such a long story but avoid this agency if you can. No proper checks were done before us moving into a property and Nathan who did our check out report marked good and fair when infact the property was poor after 5 months were still awaiting works to be carried out. Awful communication and awful lack of empathy. Just want a quick tenancy signed and you’re just a number. Disgraceful
