Leaders of mistreating, forgetting, and lying

They forgot a viewing and left me outside for an hour.They lied about things that were available with the flat. They wouldn't give us the keys because the guarantor forms weren't signed...they'd sent them on the morning before we moved in but had told us 3 days prior that nothing needed doing so we didn't chase anything up!!!They continuously mix up the paperwork, changing tenant numbers etc.We lost heating in November and it has still been a week since they have done anything about it.Our doors are sticking meaning we could get locked in a room at any point (huge fire risk), do they care...nope!We currently have no hot water but I'm expecting a reply from them in 1-2 working months based on their previous record.

Woeful Health & Safety leave your tenants at risk

This company (Derby Branch) are shocking, they are at best incompetent and at worst willfully negligent.In August they informed me of an urgent electrical issue meaning the property was EICR none complaint. They quoted £140 and we instructed them to act immediately.Today they have contact me to tell me they didnt manage to get the work done and its now going to cost £200 and if I don't pay it the property will still be none complaint.Cowboys and charlatans does not even come close, I fear their negligence will result in something very serious occurring given their total ineptitude and total lack of care for the safety of their tenants and the legal compliance of their landlords

Zero stars. Do not use them, EVER.

If I could give zero stars I would. My girlfriend and I have had the worst experience imaginable with this letting agency. They will do anything they can to retain your deposit, took forever to fix a broken shower, left with no hot water and had to use my local gym. Discourteous, incompetent and rude staff. Leaders really, they should rename the company snakes and scoundrels. Do not use this letting agent. Has put me off renting. And I definitely won't be using them now that I have my deposit saved up to buy my own home. Awful. Awful. Awful, Leaders have left me with a bad taste.

Poor Account Management

Failed to record my rent payment sent from bank. Failed to advise me. Informed my landlord who contacted me direct. Added additional amounts owed to my account. Called and explained payment was made on 1st month as it has been for 4 years. No apology offered, had to send proof from back. Still not sorted. Customer guilty until you prove yourself innocent with Leaders. Shocking incompetence and very poor customer service. Branch- Leaders of Horsham.

Useless liars that I would avoid using

I agree with many others that they are useless and will lie to tenants. All they seem to care about is money and they have no interest in actually helping or caring for tenants.Leaders seem incredibly disorganised and ineffective, they have too many different groups of people who don’t communicate with one another and they don’t communicate with the tenant well either.They have no knowledge of the content of their tenancy agreement, seem intent on marketing above providing any service and lie to their tenants.Furthermore they are slow so things get done last minute or late and never seem concerned or apologetic for any problems.

My final thoughts as I thankfully finish with these absolutely useless people are please look elsewhere the first time you meet with them is all smiles and welcoming after that they are as much use as a chocolate fireguard will try and take as much money from you as they can and hope you don’t notice will lie an awful lot are rude when you get an answer my experience with them has put me off ever wanting to be a landlord again I beg you all to read the reviews that was my biggest mistake and they will give very bad advice please look elsewhere

Disappointed

Disappointed in the entire process of letting with Leaders. I was miss sold the No Deposit Option - I wanted to avoid it, but was told it was a request from the Landlady to pay for 3 months, then I could switch to the normal deposit for the remainder of the tenancy. Switching took over 2 months, which I was then charged for the NDO, which took a further 20 emails and 2 months to get refunded due to their mistake. After paying the deposit, it was then not registered with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme within the legal 30 days.If possible avoid the NDO & read the small print. It doesn't cover any charges at the end of your tenancy when the tenancy ends and it is not refunded. When my tenancy ended, It took over the 10 days to get the deposit back, even after it was confirmed there would be no charges. I still had to raise a dispute. I had many issues with the property which were sorted promptly, I would give Leader a 4* for that. However, the standard of the property was much to be desired, single glazed windows full of condensation, wooden front door with a split down the front, the security was questionable. Communication is rarely polite and friendly. Making a complaint is counter productive. If you can avoid Leaders in the current housing crisis, I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

2nd property ruined by tenants put in…

2nd property ruined by tenants put in by leaders. Carpets all removed animal excrement and urine ingrained into concrete floor and fixings house just stinks,doubt very much that they would have carried out a property inspection unless we had insisted as we had concerns about what was happening to the property. Landlords please be aware however unprofessional Leaders behave you cannot take your property away from them for the duration of the tenancy,Leaders earn too much money from no deposit scheme and fees to let you go. They are not working for you and looking after your property they are only interested in looking after themselves, could go on with all the problems we have had,please if you value your property and sanity find another letting agency

If you go with leaders, you're asking for a difficult time

Leaders will make you happy in the beginning, then made you sad. Long times to get anything done, annoying people who will just delay and delay and delay. No accountability for anything, and then on the way out expect them to attempt to take as much of your money as possible. Tried to charge me nearly £300 for cleaning, highly disappointing, disputed the charges and got a fairish result (but still ridiculous charge to clean a kitchen and bathroom).
