Do not use this company all refrences have been completed moving in 2 days given up my property nee tenants moving in on Monday the company was rude about right to rent checks he sabotaged my refrences was threatening on the phone after suffering domestic violence signed myself to all these insurance higher rent email sent yesterday to collect keys to be told start again now demanding my tenancy from my landlord no care I will be homeless with children Simon from Bognor branch is extremely rude do not use

Not too bad but...

Beware all reviews for Leaders from tenants. All tenants are "asked" to give a review on Trustpilot at the start of their tenancy. I didn't feel able to refuse, nor to express myself freely.Leaders are a corporation backed by venture capital. Their branches are bright and staffed by friendly and helpful young people. But behind this lies a corporate machine. This is, naturally, geared to getting money out of you by various means.

Under staffed no communication. Losing money every month

The agents interact with from the Altrincham office seem nice enough and do carry out the request but are only available part-time. Never pro active have to be chased. their local office closed in lockdown so now only in Manchester Leaders chose tenants with a no deposit option and no references only parents as guarantors I realise that this means the tenants they £35 fees to Leaders and that is why they do not put the rent up. My property is currently Getting about £200 less than it could be because leaders but a 5% contract limit on rent rises and set the bar very low. I want to know why they didn't get higher earning tenants who are fully employed I've had to pay more for my insurance as they are not employed full stop no checks on their status when renewing the contract.Now having to go to court with possession order as they say they can't leave our increase the rent. Zero help on this stressful situation still waiting for legal docs I need from leaders staff.. no duty of care when you have given notice!! the issue is the low rent appraisals which benefits tenants and is bad for the landlord from the first year i had to up t the asking price because they didn't want to put it at the market price. after the first year they said not to put up the rent because lockdown had meant prices had stayed the same now I'm trying to renew for a third year they will not raise the rent more than 5% which leaves it at least 15% lower than the market value.I have done my own assessments based on Rightmove and it is clear that there is very high demand and fear properties to choose from and therefore I can get a much higher asking price Even in 2020 prices have gone up a lot. the contract will not raise rent more than 5% so now the tenants are claiming they have nowhere to go and I'm likely to face them in court over this. Also leaders are saying they won't help with it as I am not under their premier ear management which was more than £30 and half just for legal fees I can get that much cheaper through insurance company online luckily I have that I just hope that the tenants are employed or it might negate the insurance I don't believe that the tenants income has been reassessed when renewing as they seem to be on a low income or not working now

Very Rude

Leader, very pushy people and will rob you of your freedom by ringing you almost every week. We rented a 3 bedroom house with really outdated furniture's and they took picture of each one them. Plus, every inch of garden etc. We now have 50 pages of contract. Classic case of renting so so house but wants it back brand new.When I told them stop ring me all the time they issued us with 3 months notice....Horrible avoid them at any cost.

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. We foolishly used Leaders as our letting agent, they conned our tenant by telling her we wanted a “ no deposit option” and told us that the tenant had opted for the “ no deposit option” because she couldn’t afford the normal deposit. The tenant later asked us if she could pay a normal deposit and it was then that we discovered we had both been lied to. The tenant was also asked to pay her rent 6 months in advance but the rent was only released to us once a month. Trying to end our contract with them was like checking out of “ Hotel California” with a series of mistakes and issues on their part. The manager was absolutely useless and handed our complaint to a very junior member of staff to sort out. I could go on but would like to put the whole dreadful experience behind me. We are now managing the property ourselves!Avoid Leaders at all costs!
