Useless. Non-responsive. Don't action when notified when vacating a rental. Try and keep deposit because their systems do not work. Insinuate it's the tenants fault. I have constantly needed to chase. Do not recommend!

We recently ended our rental journey with A&Co and although the lettings team were fine throughout the term, besides frequent staff changes which now make sense, at the end it all went a bit wrong. We bought a house and it all went a lot quicker than planned meaning for a while we were renting and paying a mortgage which is fine, we expected that could happen. However, as soon as we let the agency know, it seemed like the landlord was always their ultimate priority. They didn't seem to be aware of current laws, I.e not being able to force the tenant to carry out a paid professional clean. They also didn't seem to take into account the results of the 6-monthly inspections that took place meaning that for a good while we were facing demands that the house NEEDED a full deep clean including carpets by a professional company, questions about rusty rads being repainted before we left, among other things. I was registered as a vulnerable person with mental health issues so they would have been aware that the unnecessary stress wouldn't and be handled well. I also fully believe that an agency is supposed to act as the middle ground between tenant and landlord, standing for what is right legally and morally, not just siding with a landlord because they pay their fees. I'm sure that the lettings team at Brackley will have reasons for why they acted the way they did but from a professional standpoint - it left a lot to be desired. Upon finishing my tenancy with them I am certainly relieved I don't have to deal with an agency ever again.

I registered with Alexander and Co lettings in brackley two months ago.They seem absolutely determined NOT to inform me of any properties they know are suitable for me.There have been 2 properties in the last few weeks ideal for me and they havent informed me of either.I feel they are discriminating against me as I am registered disabled and on long term sickness benefits.I cant think of any other reason they are being like this with me.when they were Macintyres they were brilliant.Macintyres found me somewhere to live within days of registering with them and i lived at that property for a whole eight years.Not happy at all with Alexander and Co.

Both my sale and purchase were with Alexander and Co, purchase wasn’t quite as straight forward as the sale, Martin and James both in the end went above and beyond to get it over the line. The sales progression company do let the overall experience down as they aren’t very good with communication and chasing for documents that are needed by the other party. Waited 7 weeks just for initial paperwork to be completed, this however is being brought in house I believe so will make a massive improvement to the overall experience and hopefully won’t need to chase for updates. Would recommend.

After Alexander and Co had helped us find my Mum an assisted living space to move into, it was then time to sell her property. I decided to go with Alexander and Co due to the fact they were superb with the rental and I have known Martin for over 30 years in a professional capacity. It was 100% the right decision. The property went on the market just after Christmas - we received a firm offer 7 days later.
