I am focussing this review on the service given by our property manager, Teneal Castanho. We have been with Leaders for several years and have experienced a fair share of problems along the way until Teneal took over our account last year. She has provided outstanding service to us which we truly appreciate. She is responsive and professional but the main thing that makes a real difference is that she truly cares about her Customers (both tenant and landlord) and tries her very best to meet our needs whist keeping everything in line with current legislation. We are very happy with the service she provides and are very happy to recommend her services to anyone who is thinking of working with Leaders Bournemouth. We also have made contact with Mr Gareth Carpenter (Regional Director). His understanding of Customer Care is outstanding. Really pleasant experience with leaders, all the time they have been very patient, understanding and professional throughout the rental application. I was fortunate to have access to Pat Reid in the Leaders team for the renewal of a tenancy and I am supremely thankful. Pat is professional, effective and efficient and has great skill in following through on phone calls and actions arising. Pat's high standards on communication and administration are superb. If a task is left with Pat, you know that it will get dealt with extremely quickly and efficiently. This is very reassuring. Visited a property recently up for rental. I was interested in renting the property asap. After a couple of days of no correspondence I phoned and asked a few times why I had not received any response. They couldn't give me an answer and never got back to me. Thanks for wasting my valuable time. I have a feeling this property is a honeypot property which is too good to be true just to get people on thier contact list. Super strange behaviour. Will avoid in future.

Leaders actually weren't too bad overall, aside from some maintenance issues the lettings team were amazing. We rented two properties in the space of 3.5 years. The first was an incredible experience (thank you Jenny!). The second was not. We were hit with a case of Greedy Landlorditis, although thankfully it was not terminal. In the end, he had little to no evidence of his outrageous accusations, and TDS paid out our deposit almost in its entirety. Without going into detail, neither the check in or out reports were consistent, they failed to keep a copy of our ammendments on record, and they didn't ask us to sign any inventory. In fact, we were still asking for a copy of it a year later! I genuinely believe this was a massive time wasting exercise dictated by the landlord. He probably knew he was being greedy and added as many issues to the pot as possible to increase his chances of getting something. It took him four entire weeks and multiple visits to decide how much he wanted from our deposit. I understand that Leaders have little choice and that the decision making often comes down to the landlord, but they acted like his solicitors, which doesn't make it very fair on the tenant if they are innocent. There really isn't much more to say, they have (or had) a great lettings department, not so great maintenance department, and a friendly but inconsistent sales department. It's really a shame that one greedy landlord and a few individuals ruined it for us. Thank you.
