I've made three complaints in three years about the Bournemouth office - Leaders have failed to renew tenancies on time, failed on basic accounting to take their commission; failed to do management visits and send to landlord; regularly failed to do maintenance when asked; left tenant in unsafe house with bare live electric cables after tenant accident- left tenant for months with broken heating; fail to ring tenant when asked; tenant complains that Leaders don't pass message to landlord. Just got a survey to ask how Leaders are doing and thanking me for renewing my management - actually I've given Leaders notice and the tenancy terminates this week!! This isn't the Full Management service I signed up for!. What are Leaders playing at?

If you choose to rent with Leaders Bournemouth I would like to share my experience with you so you won’t make the same mistakes as I did. The flat I had rented had several plumbing problems when I first moved in and I was given a number to call and sort out with the plumbers/handyman myself. The flat was filthy when I moved in but as a first time person renting i did not make a fuss and cleaned. The inventory was not a good reflection of what I had moved into yet being a naive first time tenant I did not realise to write that practically there was dust in lots of places and furnishings were sticky. When I moved out there was one time they did not inform me that there was a viewing was taking place the week before I was moving out. I felt bad for the people viewing as the flat was a mess whilst I was trying to pack everything into boxes and clean the flat. I cleaned to a better standard than what I moved into and was still landed with a cleaning bill and inspection report stating light dust on the skirting board 4 days post moving out. I wrote to the manager who did not even have the courtesy to reply to the complaint. Now I am undergoing dispute with the company who lets out the place. When I talked to member of staff on the phone they were unhelpful and somewhat rude implying I was in the wrong. If you do choose to rent with this agency make sure everything is working order and make photos of every single speck of dust. Do not expect good communication or professionalism. I certainly did not feel the company had my interests at heart. I would not choose to rent with this company again.

Leaders is a well run professional outfit. They were always polite, willing to help and would call us back if we left a message, unlike a lot of estate agents that we have dealt with. The person doing viewings, Pete, was very helpful and to our surprise was still familiar and friendly with others who had previously moved into the block that we were viewing. We were also very impressed with our allocated staff member from the team, Matthew Etchells, who was instrumental in guiding us through the process. The reference system the company use is very thorough and unlike any we'd experienced before, although being mainly email based it was quite painless overall. Many thanks Leaders.

Pat provides a professional expertise with great personality resolving everyday and more complex issues to the satisfaction of the tenants and myself. When other specialist services which Leaders offer are needed, these are seamlessly integrated.
