GoogleMe and my partner rented a 2 bedroom property for 4 years with House and Son and had nothing but problems throughout the tenancy. From staff insulting us by calling us messy and dirty tenants to House and Son leaving us in unabitable conditions twice and them trying to charge us extortionate amounts for cleaning at the end of the tenancy. I urge anyone who is wanting to rent in Bournemouth to completely avoid this joke of a letting agents.

GoogleI just wanted to say that I have recently moved out of a house and son property and my deposit was returned in a prompt and efficient manner. I was very impressed by the professional attitude of all the staff at House and son and would definitely use them again. I was really surprised to see negative reviews regarding the check out procedure. I read Alan early’s Review today... I then looked at his other reviews and they are all the same! 1 star and moaning about silly things! He couldn’t get his chips etc etc.... get a life Alan and maybe start being a bit tidier in future! It really smells of sour grapes because he didn’t get his full deposit back! Grow up! People will always moan if they have to pay out money from their deposit but if they haven’t looked after the property then what do they expect! Well done House and son.... great service. Thanks from one very happy customer.

GoogleMy experience with House & Sons as a tenant was really good while I was still renting BUT the Check out process I believe is a rip off. Would warn new tenants to be aware during check out. When you live in a place you pay rent, that should cover for general wear and tear and then again being bullied to be have for a very expensive cleaner as per their own high standards in unnecessary cost for the leaving tenant.

GoogleAwful service with high fees. Every time I rang them to ask them a question or report a problem I was told " I will ring you straight back" never to hear from them again. In the end stopped ringing them to report an issue better off talking to a brick wall. Moved into a dirty flat which I had to clean and now they are trying to charge me to clean it. Had no hot water for 2 weeks and they did nothing. When I asked for the complaints department was told they didn't have one and gave me the email address of the agent who showed me the property. DO NOT USE THIS LETTING AGENT

Do not use this agency! I have had so many problems since renting a flat through this company, every time I have rang up I get the response of "we will call you straight back" never to hear off them again. When I first moved in I was promised a mirror to be fitted onto the bathroom wall instead I walked into a wall which wasn't even painted and this didn't get fitted no matter how many times I mentioned it to them even though I was there for 8 months. I spent 2 weeks with no hot water and told the agent who did nothing, so then had to ring the landlady directly! When I moved in the place wasn't clean and it was covered in plaster dust from the new kitchen which was fitted which set off my asthma. It took me a full day to clean the property, and now they are trying to charge me for not cleaning the property when I left even though me and my Mother spent 2 days cleaning and it was in a much better condition when I left than what it was when I entered the property. Then they charged me a £90 check out fee and told me that a unit in the fridge was missing when it was in one of the cupboards, which you would have seen if you checked the property properly as it was a tiny 1 bedroom flat. Next there was a small crack in the fridge salad drawer and when they tried to charge me for two of these when there was only one in the first place, so obviously this report was not carried out properly. They are trying to charge me for a cleaner for £17 and a salad draw for £44 which are £25 online. I am very unhappy with this service and i will never rent or buy a property with this agency nor would I recommend anyone else to. Can someone please contact me as I have asked to raise a complaint to be told there is no complaints department and they have given me a random email address. I am waiting to hear from you.

GoogleSince we've been tenants with House & Sons for a while, practically all of our requests have been met on time, with the exception of a few administrative hiccups and the back-and-forth between us and the landlords. Nick Baker in particular has always been really understanding and helpful every-time we have moved into a new property.

GoogleIt is an okay kind of agency for homely, if you ask them for new property for let, they will first tell nothing available at moment (not sure why they are telling like that), so better to search your own first in their site or in right move and go to them. Also they will deduct lot of money from deposit when you vacate the property, so better to consider other agencies also.

GoogleAlthough the tenancy period was at least ok, the check-out list is a load of rubbish aiming clearly to rip you off. We made a lot of effort to make the flat cleaner, nicer and healthier - we lived in it for more than three years - but, as opposed to appreciating it, they are trying to make us pay for an upgrade. I was shocked to read the check-out report Avoid!

FacebookWe were very impressed with the knowledge of the estate agent Stephen. He certainly knows his job. Very knowledgeable about all aspects of the property, building regulations and approximate costs as well as good knowledge of the area. Sadly the house wasn't suitable for us but would definitely be looking at their website for more. If only all estate agents were as good.

GoogleRon W. Having visited the recently acquired flat, Neil promptly advised on it's refurbishment and arranged it. A tenant was needed at short notice. As well as Neil finding someone quickly, I was always kept informed of progress towards the let and House & Son delivered a great result. I can wholeheartedly recommend this Company, who's charges are competitive and who's staff are both knowledgeable and professional.
