Please do not use palmer snell if they are selling a house with iamsoldThis trauma should be avoided at any cost!!! Unfortunately the house we purchased HAD to be done through them despite our reservations. I’ve had better afresales service from conmen! Unfortunately this is still an ongoing issue due to being unable to get anyone to call us back, it is very difficult to form a working relationship with an answer machine

Hopeless - no other word for them

I saw a listing for a property in Martock on the Palmer Snell Martock web site. I saw it on there on Saturday and spent all of Saturday, most of Monday and this morning trying to get thru to them to ask some questions. Every time i get a recorded message saying that they are busy with a client - this included a call at 9.01am today. If I were a seller, there is no way I would instruct this company, since they are either woefully understaffed or they basically dont give a s**t about selling your property. As an aside there does not seem to be any way of contacting them by email - avoid at all costs

Palmer Snell - TauntonI've had the misfortune to deal with Palmer Snell this week, and can hand on heart say they are the most rude estate agents I've come across. In-particular their manager James. Over the weekend a property came on the market, I wanted to arrange a viewing as soon as possible - a 395k detached house in Henlade.I called five times over the whole of the day on Monday and the call went straight to answer phone except on the fifth time they picked up. There website does not have an email and I decided Monday to make an offer of 30k over the asking price for a house and area I know well. I asked for positive written confirmation that the offer had been given to the owners. With one consideration to see the property when I was available Tuesday or Wednesday to see the roof timbers.The following day I did not get the confirmation. I asked for this by a 2nd email over right move (no office email on the website on an iphone). Upto this point I have sent 2 emails. I got a very rude answer phone message back saying I was bombarding them by emails. The fact is the manager had not given my offer to the seller (30k over asking price), they have been incredibly rude, and really unprofessionally unresponsive being uncontactable. Absolutely disgusting - I hope Palmer Snell look into their managers professionalism at this branch - the reason they have not provided written confirmation is really apparent.Having sold my home, I would be absolutely livid paying thousands to Palmer Snell to not be presented that offer. I feel sorry for the seller, and I sure wouldn't be recommending them.

We found Palmer Snell lettings Canford HeathPoole to be very pushy wouldn't listen or seem to be interested in what we wanted and ignored simple instructions.We viewed a property through them which we wanted for a buy to let, although we didn't actually buy that property we said they could manage the one we did buy. Even though we had said we would use them, they rang at least once a week to see how the purchase was going.When the purchases was complete they viewed the property and we gave them clear instructions we didn't want it marketed until we had carried out some redecoration, they told us they couldn't market it until we had signed the lettings contact, so we didn't sign it.They marketed it anyway, then told us that they had found someone who wanted to rent it who we didn't think was suitable and had appeared to have lied about their income, although this didn't seem to bother them. Later on they told us that she wanted to move in on the 26th, when I had already told them it wasn't going to be possible.It now had got to the point where it was starting to get stressful the phone calls were once or more a day along with emails asking us to sign the contract and trying to hurry us along. We decided we no longer wanted to use them which I told them and retrieved the key.The house is now complete and we put it with another lettings company.Palmer Snell must have realised this because I got a phone call from one of their staff who came across as being very angry, he kept asking me questions and when I tried to answer he kept interrupting, in the end I let him have his rant, lasted about a minute and then hung up on him.

Our experience with this real estate agency has been absolutely terrible. Despite providing all our details, including the fact that we have two children, we were invited to view a house in Poole. With only one day's notice, we made a seven-hour drive from Liverpool to Poole.

1 star is too much.

For Palmer Snell Taunton 1 star is too much.The worst agent I have ever rented off or dealt with.Rented us a property unfit for human habitation. Sewerage running down the road in front. Had no running water when we moved in (we had no choice as had travelled 7 hours with removal vans)Disgustingly filthy house. Totally unacceptable childish individuals in the office that did nothing to sort any problems and there were tonnes. They now have the audacity to question the cleanliness of the property after they told us we would not need to clean due to the terrible state the property was in when we moved in. Property also illegally let as a G rating with no exemptions listed.DO NOT RENT OFF THESE PEOPLE. Unless you want to live in a damp, cold uninhabitable property that will cost you £500 a month to heat.They also lie about the state of the property. We are having to fight for our deposit for damages that the previous tenants did.Avoid these re-tards (spelt incorrectly as being honest these days is classed as inappropriate 😂) like the plague.Will be exposing these people in as many places as possible, over and over again so that they cannot get away with such disgraceful customer service. They made our lives a misery for 7 months.

Save yourself the never ending stress/hassle

Save yourself the hassle, stress and illness that come with renting through the thieving scummy company that is Palmer snell /countrywide. My landlord eventually ditched them but only after making me seriously ill and causing me to have a stroke. I have a impeccable rent record and have NEVER ONCE missed, or been late, on a payment. Yet every single month, over a 20 month span, they were harassing me, by calling/letters/emails to say I hadn't paid. EVERY effing month!!! And every single time I could prove I had paid. And on every single occasion this happened, after sometimes weeks of arguing it, they would eventually respond with "oh yeah, duh, we found the payment, so and so didn't upload to the correct system". Jokes. Then the following month they would do the excate same. They would even threaten with bailiffs and eviction and cause me such stress and depression. And they would never apologise even when EVERY. SINGLE. TIME, they would then find my payment. To say I hate them, it's a under statement. I believe they are corrupt and most definitely thieves. Not only this, but lies about it being on a electric meter, rodent and fruit fly infestations which never got sorted, lying about a private garden being mine, leaks in roof and damage to my property which they won't fix, crack heads breeding pitballs in the flat beneath me (19 bloody dogs in one tiny flat) and drug dealing.... The list is endless. If you're in Dorset(Bournemouth area), give them a wide birth as they are absolutely horrendous and will lie, lie and lie to swing a situation their way. And when you catch them in their lies they literally go "oh effing well, tough sh*te, what ya gonna do". Also be aware that behind the scenes are run by countrywide. Who honestly, are just as disgusting, if not more so, just look at their trustpilot reviews. The whole thing made me incredibly depressed and so stressed I ended up having a stroke. I hate them with a passion and if they all went bust tomorrow, I would throw a HUGE party. Horrible people with no morals or care what so ever.

Don't trust Palmer Snell!

I trusted Palmer Snell with selling my property. On one of the viewings, without me being present as I had given them my key, breakages took place. This included cracking 2 tiles on my bathroom floor. A tumbler was also cracked so it was quite obvious this had been dropped on the floor. It doesn't take a brain of Britain to know it was Palmer Snell or somebody they were showing round. They didn't let me know. Their local senior branch manager came on the phone today and gave me a load of attitude and denied it was anything to do with Palmer Snell. I'm disgusted and will be taking this matter further! I would thoroughly advise anyone to give Palmer Snell a very wide berth!!

We had a few concerns about the property and asked them to query the owners (who live abroad). Heard not a sausage. We repeated our enquiry even through our solicitor. Nothing. For 4 weeks. Red flags were flying for us, so we contacted our solicitor and pulled out. Her work cost us £1,000. The agent contacted us 3 weeks later to say they were sorry we pulled out and today, another month later we got a letter saying they still want to help us. That’s nice, but we don’t need you anymore.

Palmer Snell did a brilliant job from the moment we viewed the property to handing over the keys. Shabel showed us around and was knowledgeable about the property. He was happy to answer all our questions. Sebastian and Jamie dealt with our questions prior to moving in, in a very professional manner. All three guys called us back when asked to.All in all I would recommend Palmer Snell when looking to rent a property. Very professional service.

Shambolic Yeovil Countrywide/Palmer Snell

Do not allow these people to market your property. This letting agent will transfer your electric supply to Spark energy even prior to contracts being signed. Spark/Ovo will rip the absolute p*** out of you, not bill you but will send debt collectors and give you a massive over bill and claim that if you haven't got meter readings 7 days apart there is nothing they can do. Countrywide however will be making a nice bit of commission out of your misery. This letting agent has been shambolic!
