Worst estate agents…don't sell with these

Worst estate agents I've ever come across. Rude on the phone. Your nothing but an annoyance if you dare to ring them and are treated as such. If you want to veiw they need to see your bank statements, your mortgage agreement and even after that if your own house isn't already on the market then you are declined to veiw properties. How they sell any houses is beyond belief.

The worst agency ever! Never call back when they promise and they DON’T pay back the deposit ! Be careful people they will rip you off! They’ve been lying from the begging to the end and takes ages to sort something out! AVOID them if you don’t want any trouble!

Do not use this Estate Agent - totally incompetent! We travelled 45 miles to attend a viewing which was confirmed by email 48 hours previously, only to be told on arrival that our viewing should have been cancelled as already sold several days previous.NegativeQuality

Hi Karen, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and it is regrettable that in this instance there was a mistake in the cancellation of your viewing. The property you were hoping to view on Warley Road, was in receipt of a full asking price offer which the vendor was happy to accept and subsequently instructed us to cancel all viewings going forward. I can appreciate the frustration of this taking into account the property had only come on the market for sale 5 days earlier over the bank holiday weekend. However, the property market is moving so quickly at the moment, which makes things very difficult for buyers and we have put in place an exclusive waiting list for our clients so that they are on a VIP list for quick property alerts before they are launched on Rightmove, Zoopla and Boomin', the result of this is properties selling very quickly to pre-qualified buyers resulting in a much more efficient sales service for our clients. In your instance there were another seven viewings arranged for this particular property and it is down to human error that unfortunately, you were the only person viewing the property that was not advised and for this please accept my apologies. Please feel free to get in touch with me on 01253 627111 to discuss and hopefully, we can find you another suitable property. Kind Regards, Craig Webster Managing Director Tiger Sales & Lettings

AVOID THESE SCAMMERS! They'll do anything to keep your deposit! We rented a property from Tiger Lettings for about 14 months and from within the first month we had issues. Over sensitive fire alarms placed in EVERY room of the house, continuously set off from cooking something as simple as pasta. We called up to complain when they randomly set off on 5th July 2018, only to be told to disconnect them and they'd send someone out the next day. Never heard anything back for FIVE MONTHS. In those five months, we also complained about damp. Again, nothing. Eventually, when they sent someone out from their maintenance team to just take a look at it all, he told us it was rising damp that hadn't been treated properly and was just painted over. Then, he also admitted that Tiger Lettings not sending anyone out for months is typical of them, as they want tenants to sort the problems themselves, out of their own pocket. So it got to about mid-May, beginning of June 2019 and we decided enough was enough. The rising damp was getting worse and no matter how many times we called, nothing was being done about it. The first issue with moving out was after handing in our notice, I received an e-mail from Nita, who tried to arrange the final inspection (check out inventory) before we moved out (and before the date we stated on the notice), meaning all our stuff would still be there and nothing would have been done to tidy it all up. I called her out on that and she changed it (in the tenancy agreement, it states we'd be charged for changing the date - probably them trying to get more money out of us). Then, she felt it to be necessary to inform me she drives past the property several times a day --- WHY? Our next problem was the first inspection that tells us what needs doing to the property before moving out. Firstly, the woman who came had no way of photographing the property to prove that we'd followed her advice. Then, she told us to simply hoover the carpets with a deodoriser, do a general clean and to make sure we get all the cob webs. NEXT problem was on the day of our final inspection (check out inventory). We received a call that morning from a woman saying that the guy doing check-out wouldn't be able to make it, but they wanted to do a viewing for potential tenants instead. ON MOVE OUT DAY. Oh, and then the inspector turned up and had no idea why the woman on the phone told us he couldn't make it. Similar story with the first inspector, who we had to rearrange and book time off work to let in because Nita said she wasn't available, only for the inspector to say the original date would have been much better for her, as she'd also had to come in on her day off to inspect the property. Great communication there, Tiger Lettings. Then, despite giving them the new address, they sent the letter regarding a claim on the deposit to the property we'd moved out of, knowing full well we wouldn't receive it. Luckily, I'd arranged to have all post redirected to us. The major issue was the deposit. Not only did they try to keep our deposit, but they added money to it claiming we'd damaged the property and hadn't shampooed the carpet (even though we were told hoovering it with a deodoriser was enough)! They wanted £1000 from us for it all. It's funny because you can clearly see in the check-in inventory (that Nita didn't want to send to me and I had to keep asking for it) that all damage had been there prior to moving in. So, we put in a dispute. I spent DAYS arguing our case, showing with the pictures I'd taken myself after moving out, once everything was cleaned and up to standards, as well as an invoice for the garden that it supposed to be LOW MAINTENANCE. The gardener even confirmed it wasn't low maintenance and they're actually falsely advertising it as such. They didn't even bother sending in their evidence (very suspicious, since Nita didn't want to send me the check-in inventory and if I hadn't had a copy, we would have lost our deposit and the rest they claimed). Scammers. Avoid them!

If I could give zero stars I would as this estate agents is the worst I've ever had the misfortune of being a tenant with and still have the misfortune of being a tenant and leaving can't come soon enough! They neglect your complaints and they keep neglecting repairs when you phone them time after time saying they will send someone out and they never do! They always say they will call but never do! Staff are rude and often talk over you probably due to the fact they don't like hearing the truth! They also ignore vulnerable tenants complaints that are living in complete and utter misery with terrible neighbours due to the fact they are completely heartless and don't care about their tenants! They shouldn't be in business and I would advise anyone to avoid them at all cost's!

Excellent Lettings Agency. They have managed one of my rental properties for over 10 years. Any tenancy or repair issues are dealt with promptly. They check the prices for work before asking consent to go ahead with repairs. Gas Safety test is completed by the agency each year without any stress. I would definitely recommend Tiger Lettings.

They do some fake thigs filing form and take £25 non refundable for each application After a few days call you oh sorry the landlord rejected your application. I have applied for one of the properties I am working I submitted my work paper and every thing and offer to pay 6 Months advance pay rent. Sadly after few days called me that the landlord rejected your application. I told them please tell me what is the reason for rejection they said nothing but rejected. This is just for taking £25. The worst estate agent I have ever seen so highly recommended not go to them.

The worst agency we have ever dealt with. Would strongly advise to avoid! If there was a no-star option we would give that. It was days before they even sent our references and we had to practically get them ourselves and keep chasing them up. Everything took way longer than was needed and when the landlord eventually got back to us (we were told our references were great and nothing holding us back) the only reason we were given for being declined the property was “he didn’t think we were the right people” having never met us. Now we are £25 down, still not received our £125 back after over a week and obviously now are behind in finding a new home.

Helpful staff, it would be good if there was management on site every so often, save waiting for counter staff to email any queries through, but otherwise a good office to pay rent and make enquiries.

Absolutely rubbish, I enquired about a property and was told I needed to fill out a form to get a viewing, a week ago still waiting. Will go elsewhere

Sharron · 10 June 2022

Agent replied · 11 June 2024

Hi Sharron, Thank you for your review. We are currently following Government advice in relation to viewings of properties so to restrict the number of physical viewings to serious applicants. Our company policy therefore, is to ensure that viewings are going ahead with serious buyers who have funds in place to purchase the property of interest or if looking to rent, is someone who the landlord would consider for tenancy. Proof of funds can be, a mortgage in principle, available funds for a cash purchase or confirmation that you have sold your property or have a sale agreed. Our policy has been well received by most of our clients resulting in better quality viewings and a higher number of sales and lettings being agreed from viewings in a proceedable position rather than wasting time for clients physically viewing properties that are unlikely to lead to a sale or tenancy. Thanks, Craig Webster Managing Director Tiger Sales & Lettings

Recently used Tiger Estates to purchase a property. They provided a great service throughout the whole process from initial viewings all the way to sale completion. Very friendly and helpful team who were understanding of my concerns and queries and made the whole process very smooth and quick. Can't fault them in any way and would definitely use them again.

Awful estate agent

I do have a lot of negative things to say about tiger estates Blackpool. I am a tenant renting a one bed flat and just moved in 3 months ago. Once I had been accepted for the property they said I’d have to wait a few weeks until I could move in (apparently they were working on the property)

Agent replied · 11 June 2024

Mrs Spall, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on our Google review page. It is unfortunate that you feel that you had many issues with us and although, I can acknowledge that you transferred management of your property to another agent. This regrettably took a little longer than you had expected, so after serving the required notice and still not being able to transfer the management we provided you with one month free management charge to help facilitate the transfer. With regards to the service we provided you, we collected rent on your behalf and paid this on to your designated account, we liaised with your tenant, we advised of any maintenance issues with the property, we kept you informed of your legal responsibilities of being a Landlord, we arranged for your gas safety inspections to be completed and we arranged property visits in your property - which unfortunately, due to Covid your tenants would not allow access. If necessary, we would have also served notice to terminate the tenancy on your behalf and managed the move out process for you as well as advising the local council and services of a change in occupancy. Kind Regards, Craig Webster Managing Director Tiger Sales & Lettings
