House Purchase

We are currently in the process of buying a house with Charles Carr and we have to say that Emma has made the whole experience a lot easier for us. When viewing houses she was able to book us into viewings last minute and also had an enthusiastic approach to the houses we viewed. Since our offer has been accepted she has been helpful in organising solicitors to contact us and also put us in touch with our mortgage advisor. Despite being in the early stages of purchasing this property, I cannot fault Chloe’s service at all. She is fast at replying to emails, is incredible helpful over the phone, and she was very knowledgeable about the property and the house buying process. Chloe was great at communicating between us and the seller, and always got back to me quickly regarding the outcome of our offer. My partner and I really appreciate that she offered to view the property with us later in the evening in order to fit around our work schedule! A great buying experience!

George was very helpful and informative throughout the buying process. Initially we were not able to attend the open house but he encouraged us to, not in a pressured way but he genuinely came from the point of view that he didn’t want us to miss out. Jordan was at the property to greet us and answer any questions we had at the open house and was very professional. On the day of the offer George was informative and honest and offered options without any pressure. It’s been very professional and a nerve wracking but good experience!

Despite having a negative view of estate agents before our move, Charles Carr have completely changed that and I highly recommend them and will to any friends/family in the future. They kept their promises through out, we had so many viewings, and sold within 2 weeks for the price discussed at the beginning! Louise was also excellent in taking care and pushing the completion through. We had a couple of friends also looking to buy and they where all contacted from Charles Carr about our property not knowing they where our friends so they obviously do a lot of work in the back ground which I wouldn't normally trust estate agents to do. We even had a rival estate agent drop a note through the door slating Charles Carr, saying they're this and that, but as a business owner that spoke volumes to us knowing their rivals are out dropping notes through people doors rather then selling their own properties, obviously struggling with the competition.

Mr LLoyd Westall was extremely helpful in our dispute with Countrywide Mann

We switched agents shortly after our contract with CM expired because of lack of progress. They said we couldn't do this without paying two lots of fees.. Lloyd advised us that this was not true. and when CM harassed us and eventually took us to court helped us enormously by specifying our grounds for refusing to pay. .He was, therefore, instrumental in CM abandoning their court action, thereby saving us several thousand pounds. I always found him helpful and easy to deal with. At first I found him hard to contact but once I realised email was the best way of contacting him that was no longer an issue. To recap, Lloyd was helpful, and always had a positive attitude throughout our dispute.

Its very rare that I review anyone or anything. Its even rarer that I review a company that I am not using or employing myself directly. The reason for this review is simple. Without a shadow of a doubt Charles Carr deserve full recognition for a job extremely well done! I'm not a fan of Estate Agents and the Agent I have used for this move has disappointed me and will not be getting a review! All the staff at Charles Carr are extremely friendly and you feel like they actually know their jobs. I've been to properties where clearly the agents knows absolutely nothing about the house they are supposed to be selling which is off putting at best. Where Charles Carr excel though is in their after sales. I dealt mainly with Louise Carr. She was quite simply excellent! In fact our purchase of the house nearly fell through when the chain fell apart,. Louise did everything she could to keep her vendors happy until we sourced another buyer for our property. Louise went above and beyond herself throughout the whole process. She was in contact with my solicitor, my buyers solicitor, my estate agent and of course myself.. Her consistent clear, communication was invaluable. As everyone knows moving house is stressful enough and we feel that Louise Carr has striven to get us through it with vigor and pace and quite frankly was the only person I could rely on when my solicitor and my estate agent let me down. If I ever decide to move again I would use Charles Carr in a heartbeat but hopefully after this stressful move it will be quite a wile before I do this all again. James Palethorpe

Thrilled so far!

We have been house hunting for what feels like forever and have viewed a couple of properties with Sam Storrar. We finally found “the one” and made a bid on it, however it was hugely popular. Sam kept us in the loop while bidding went on and we were so thrilled when she called to say our offer had been accepted! Gone 6pm so I am sure beyond the call of duty but she was diligent throughout. We are now in the throws of the purchasing procedure. All at Charles Carr that we have dealt with have been professional and approachable and always knowledgeable. Lauren French showed us around the house we are now purchasing and was wonderful, friendly, answered our questions and promised to call us on the Monday morning for feedback, which she did. If you email, they reply promptly. If you call they answer the phone and if you can’t speak to the person you need to, a message is passed and they do get back to you. Fantastic service received

We have been dealing with Charles Carr for around a month now and have been highly impressed and pleased with the service offered from everyone we have come across. Lloyd carried out our valuation and came back to take the photos and to produce the brochure for our property. We found Lloyd to be professional, honest, friendly and reliable. He is quick to respond to emails/calls and took time to listen to our feedback and wishes. Samantha has been dealing with our house search and has been a delight to deal with.
