I've just bought a house in Bristol, as a first time buyer. Ocean have been utterly brilliant through the whole process. The staff were fantastic about explaining everything to me; everyone went out of their way to be helpful and reassuring, and even with mortgage rates fluctuating like mad through two lockdowns, they found me a great rate that was much cheaper than anything I'd have found by myself. Not just efficient service but genuinely kind people!

I was kept up to date from the start with the team contacting me after each viewing to do a debrief. After accepting an offer; Jason, the move manager, kept me up to date on how the sale progress was going which was key as I was no longer living in Bristol. Unfortunately I was unable to give 0 stars. I don't know where to start. We had an rental property managed by them if you can call it managed. Rent never laid on time, regular checks not carried out. A substandard contractors used to do repair works. Avoid Ocean at all costs!

We are sorry to hear that you are still disappointed following the conclusion of this tenancy in 2016. We have now had the opportunity to review the case. Dear LandlordI did my upmost best to explain and resolve the issues that the tenant had caused. Clearly locking a cat in the flat for a week to go on holiday was an horrendous thing to do. Once we were made aware we managed to secure the surrender of the whole deposit for you and there were no arrears at the property at the end of the tenancy. If anything was left unresolved or you weren’t satisfied with our service at the time I would have been very happy to discuss further. You had at the time raised a number of queries which I felt I had answered for you, if this hadn’t concluded things satisfactorily I would have been happy to discuss further.It is regrettable this issue warrants further reply years later, I would however like to extend my apologies once more for the inconvenience and stress caused by this unfortunate event. Please be assured this was a very unusual case, we currently have well over 1000 managed properties and I am very happy to say we receive many positives reviews for our services from both landlords and tenants.Best wishes Scott Hudson, Director, Ocean lettings and management.

My wife and I were very pleased to work with Sam Bonizzi at your Bradley Stoke Office, and the attention he provided in managing the letting of our property, Many Views, now on three occasions.Although the first tenant only stayed in our property for a short time, whilst they were arranging a relocation to Malta, the following tenant was with us for three years and we did not experience any problematic issues at all. I thought the lawyers were great, and the managing agents good and super helpful when it came to the house itself. That said, we were unlucky, but also when we didn’t hear from the 2nd buyer for a whole month, there wasn’t a recommendation to put the house back on the market or to progress with different avenues such as given fixed time to reply. All and all the ream were great, and Marise and co on the last were amazing!
