Ocean, Portishead take a very long time to do searches, 10 weeks since offer so far. They don't reply to emails and when you telephone the Conveyancer, you don't get further than the Receptionist! I have advised my daughter to transfer her house purchase to a Solicitor!

No one ever answers the phone. They avoid answering any of the issues you have over email and promise to "get on top of it" but do nothing until you email them again. Rinse and repeat. A number of serious problems have not been fixed in 6 months. Broken glass on the stairs when we moved in. Damp, broken fireplace panel, broken curtains. Took 3 months and over 60 emails for them to finally cave in and fix a few cracked tiles. AVOID.

Thank you for your feedback, we certainly acknowledge your frustrations and have taken your comments seriously.As you are aware, the tenancy agreement is between you and the landlord. We do not manage this property, it is not until the remit of our Property Management department. In this instance we are employed by the landlord on a ‘let only basis’. This requires us to market the property for rent and to secure a tenancy only. Ocean lettings was your first point of contact during these initial stages so that both parties can make legal agreement of tenancy, as was explained at this time. Unfortunately in this case, as you are aware, the landlord is responsible for all property maintenance and has therefore instructed his own contractors. Said contractors who have let both you and Ocean down on numerous occasions. Thank you again for raising your frustrations, we will continue to pass your comments onto your landlord and hope the issues are resolved imminently.Ocean lettings and management

Would recommend highly.Conveyancing is a little more mixed, generally good, but need chasing regularly to keep things moving, and lost some replies and required my involvement to sort this out. (Exchange hasn't yet happened but i believe everything is now on track and hope to do so soon.)
