I've been with Ocean as a renter for almost 5 years and 2 properties now. My property manager Jamie is really friendly and super efficient. Any issue I contact her with is resolved ASAP - usually within 24 hours; and she's been a great support as a representative of Ocean with any questions or issues that have arisen. I've had other property managers in the past and she is definitely the best I've ever had.

Rebecca liaised with the other solicitors in the process in good time so that all enquires were answered correctly and as soon as possible. Rebecca's assistants were also very helpful and friendly.

Where do I start. By far the WORST letting agents I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Very disorganised, when you ask any of them for anything they’re oblivious and useless. Persistent lies to get you to agree tenancy, then when you finally send over money and documents a complete disregard to customer care. Very much looking forward to never having to deal with this company again, avoid at all costs.
We are somewhat confused as to what issues were experienced to warrant this feedback. Our records show no contact since your tenancy began 2 months ago.We would be grateful if you contact the office you completed your tenancy agreement so that we may address your concerns. Please be assured they will be only too happy to assist. Please note we do not manage this property, if there have been any subsequent issues regarding the property please refer them to your Landlord. With regards to your accusations of ‘worst agency’. We are an independent business and local employer of 40 years. We have always considered customer care our first and foremost priority for all of our customers, as can be seen by the over three thousand reviews here on Trust Pilot. Ocean Lettings handle tens of thousands of tenancies annually, and manage thousands of properties. We are always refining our processes to ensure the best possible client care. Ocean Bishopston have been fantastic throughout a slow market and complicated sale and right into the eve of a pandemic: great service, active selling (but never pushy), attention to detail and quick responses. They've consulted closely, kept me informed, and encouraged me through the wobbles of moving. Friendly and professional. Sold the house quickly and managed the sale over many weeks perfectly. Steves expertise from valuing the house to its sale was highly professional. He spent time with potential buyers and talked knowledgeably about the house answering their questions accurately. Melissa was brilliant at steering the sale through the solicitors to exchange and completion It would have been a far more stressful experience without her support.

We have had an excellent experience selling our flat in Bristol, and using the in-house lawyers at the Ocean Southville office. Tom was great, he told us the realistic value of our home, who we would sell it to, and when. He was efficient and spot on with his marketing and valuation. On the legal side, Ashleigh Moreton-Egan was wonderful to work with too. I highly recommend the Southville office, whether buying, selling, renting, or all three!!!

We had several issues with our property mainly linking to the fact that the stop tap was not functional for the entirety of our 15 months living there (and wasn't showing signs of being fixed when we moved out). This led to a number of problems, the largest of which was a toilet flush that went unfixed for over a month and ended in compensation being paid. Staff were usually friendly to talk to (when you did actually get through) and polite in emails and over the phone, but we often felt like not a lot actually got done in terms of actually resolving problems. We frequently tried to ring our property manager and got told they would call us back, only to never receive a call back. If at all possible I will aim to avoid Ocean in the future, unfortunately the rental market is so saturated at at the moment that letting agents can basically do anything and not jeopardize the demand for their properties.

We absolutely agree with you, the whole issue whilst truly unique did take much longer to deal with than could be considered 'normal' or indeed within our expectations.A catalogue of issues including multiple contractors not being able to find the main building stop-cock, the flat’s stop cock failing and ultimately not being able to resolve the situation for you resulted in a very unsatisfactory situation. All occurring during unprecedented volumes of lettings and property management activity and ongoing Covid constraints. Our records do show consistent communications and updates by your Portfolio Manager Josh, this however does not, of course, mitigate the inconvenience to yourself. We unreservedly apologise again for the situation and would like to reassure you every effort was made via the Landlord and numerous contractors to resolve the situation.Kind Regards, Ocean.
