Ocean is by far THE most professional estate agent I have ever seen, in the country. Over the years I have come to learn how estate agents operate, specially the nationwide ones. let me explain why Ocean is so different from every other estate agents.So the most common tactics other estate agents use that is deemed unethical in my opinion are:- When they evaluate a property for sale, they know sellers usually go with the estate agent that gives the highest evaluation. So often they over evaluate your property then when you sign a min 3 months contract with them, they then claim the market is not good and encourage you to reduce the sale price. - The next thing to be aware of, which other estate agents often do is that their priority is the list of "property investors" they have on their files, and not you the seller! So if an investor is interested in your property, they will absolutely find a way to "encourage" you to reduce your price even further. - finally, what sets Ocean apart from all other estate agents is that most estate agents, specially the nationwide ones, have no interest or drive to sell your property. They just show someone around the property and answer the odd question that is asked of them. I have lost track of the number of times I have asked an estate agent whether the potential buyer was even asked to make an offer. Ocean is completely different to any other estate agent I have ever used... They are THE most ethical, honest and professional estate agent I have ever used. Even my solicitor commented on how efficient and professional Ocean has been! Ocean is a family run business so the directors actually care about the company and take pride in their customer service. My property was sold within 3 hours of going live! AND I got exactly what I asked for and what Ocean valued my property at (which was £20,000 more than any other estate agent). Even a nationwide estate agent commented saying they can not compete with Ocean when it comes to Bristol!!If you are in the Bristol area, Ocean is THE only estate agent I recommend you use. That what I will be doing in the future.

Management company services are awful.Leak from the flat above me, that Ocean manages, occurred in March 2022, we’re now mid August 2022 and still no sign of the damage being repaired.Quotes Ocean are suggesting for the repair work are also extortionate, poor landlord above who will get stung for these costs.Must be lots of back handers going on or they’re using untrustworthy tradesmen.EDIT : post Ocean’s response.In another post they have told me they are not dealing with this anymore so what is it.Whilst there may be no updates to report, I have emailed and heard nothing. Useless customer service.This has been going on for 5 months now and it’s not hard to resolve.

This is of course an ongoing mater regarding a property we manage on behalf of the owner above yours.As you have stated there has been a leak from the above property to yours, as you are also aware, the landlord has refused to pay invoices for damages to your property. Subsequently you have advised via Ocean Property Management that you would take legal proceeding if he continued to refuse, we have of course willingly passed on your comments. More recently it has come to light that the block management company have opened a case through the building insurance so that a claim can be submitted. At this stage we are still awaiting confirmation from said Management Company & Insurance company of the specific details as to how to process the claim. We are making every effort to expedite this matter on behalf of all concerned. Please accept our apologies, we agree that we could have updated you more regularly on this matter, even thou there was unfortunately no substantive updates to offer. After being told to put our notice in by an agent at Ocean we where then told we didn’t get the house we wanted even after paying the holding fee. After speaking to the manager today (Keith) he then done everything he could to worm his way out of it without taking any blame or give any apologies. The fact we had to ring them to find all this out was even more shambolic. If you’re looking for somebody to mess you about and take the mick without taking any blame for their actions use Ocean. Apart from that I would let anybody I know NOT to use Ocean. I wouldn’t trust them selling a pen let alone a house. JOKERS!!!

As the property is only let with us and isn't managed by us this comes down to the landlord's decision and their communication with us as well. We never tell anyone to hand their notice in until after the landlord has made their final decision securing the property and this isn't something we'd ever do. I purchased my property through Ocean. I use 3 of the services. The estate agents, legal services and mortgage advisors. Richard the mortgage advisor was very helpful and I would highly recommend him. There was initially a bit of hiccup with the legal services at the start but once I highlighted the urgency of the move Jon talked me through the process and from there the the sale moved quickly and smoothly. The Estate agents where friendly. Eventhough not providing me the contact details of the vendor as requested. They moved things along quickly. Kept in regular contact and it was lovely touch receiving a bottle of fizz and lovely card when picking up the keys. Overall I would give 4.5 stars if I could.

I've had a fairly complicated chain and I used Ocean all the way through, buying and selling through Ocean Estate Agents and using Ocean Lawyers for the conveyancing. The team were incredibly helpful, professional, and courteous. The agents were very good and they took a great deal of ownership and they put significant effort into getting me the best deal available for selling my property. I was really happy with the evaluation, the photos, the negotiations and the viewings.There were a few hiccups along the way (nothing unusual) but those were predominantly to do with dealing with challenging parties and Ocean worked with me to resolve those issues as they came up. The completion day itself was crazy-stressful (they always are) but the move managers were very helpful and patient. (By the way, the concept of the move manager is awesome and made the whole process more manageable).The conveyancing solicitors were just outstanding and they represented excellent value for money as far as I'm concerned - I genuinely felt that they had my best interest in mind throughout and that I was very well represented in the chain. I was dreading getting the bill (because they were so damn good) but I was pleasantly surprised that they really stuck to a more-than-reasonably pricing with no nasty surprises. In April this year we had itchy feet and decided to contact Joanna at Ocean, after a brief discussion we knew that this experience was going to be completely different. Once we'd signed on the dotted line (and they won't penalise you if you decide to leave them before the end of the contract), Joanna flew into action. She took brilliant pictures, took measurements of the rooms, wrote the description of the house and the house was on the market and online (Rightmove) by the end of the first day.Harley was also involved in viewings, which came thick and fast, the feedback came within half an hour of each visit and low and behold three weeks later the house was sold!
