The Ocean team are very good and reliable especially Charlie Bartlett who I was dealing with most of the time as it was a rented property. He is very professional and very nice, my Mum liked him a lot and that’s important at her age. He was very prompt at getting things sorted and always called or emailed me to keep me informed. That goes a long way with me, I hate it when I have to chase things up. Everything was sorted in 3 days which was amazing and brilliant service. The Ocean Team are great!In particular Charlie Bartlett. We have recently soils our house and have been frantically looking for somewhere to live. We contacted Charlie on the Tuesday morning and he responded within 20mins. We were then able to negotiate animals that were allowed in the property, as well as complete the application form within the same day (we are moving into rented as we haven’t found anywhere else to buy yet). Charlie has been very responsive to our messages and has always been able to answer our questions. The process with the Ocean Team has been very smooth! When we come to buy our next house, we will be looking to this team to find us our next house!

I have dealt with Luigi Lattuca, the mortgage adviser at Ocean, for a number of years and cannot recommend him highly enough. Luigi has arranged a few mortgages for me now and is always approachable, efficient and explains options in a clear and easy to understand manner. He is also pro-active by contacting me in advance of my deal ending so we have plenty of time to make necessary arrangements. Most recently he moved our mortgage onto a new deal with just 24 hours between us agreeing the deal and having it all set-up - keep up the good work!

Just as we had finalised our Natwest information requests for the mortgage, two new entities popped up without any prior warning - Integrar & LMS. To this day I'm still not clear who they are and what role they played. It would have been appreciated if Ocean could (a) have give us some prior warning, and (b) helped us understand the interrelationships. At one point there was us, Ocean, Natwast, LMS & Integrar all involved - bonkers. The whole mortgage circus is utterly ridiculous and a terrific waste of time

We were pleased with the timeliness and outcome of the application in this somewhat tumultuous mortgage market, please be assured we did our upmost to maintain the high level of service you have become accustomed. Our processes were unchanged on this occasion, our team continue to prioritise updates and report on progress at each stage of the application. Integrar were appointed by the mortgage lender Nat West, we communicated to you that you would hear from a solicitor when the mortgage offer was issued. As in your previous remortgages, a solicitor is appointed by the lender to act on their to transfer the mortgage across from your previous lender. LMS are a conveyancing firm that oversee the appointed solicitor. Apologies if that was not clear.Regards, Ocean.

TrustpilotI chose Ocean to handle our house sale
I chose Ocean to handle our conveyancing as we wanted a firm in the locality rather than a cheaper boiler-house type operation. My experience of the latter is that they are cheap and do the job but contact isn't great and every time you need to speak to a person they are unfamiliar with your case; So have to catch up while you are waiting. Also you can't rely on them to get the job done in good time. I mostly dealt with Georgia. She was available or called back fairly fast and always tendered clear advice. The reason I can't give 5 stars is that I sometimes felt I was having to chase up information that was needed. In the old days the lawyer did everything, nowadays it seems if they hit an issue they simply say the information is missing so you have to take out and indemnity policy. It was the buyers solicitor saying it but Ocean didn't argue.I pushed back on this, dug out ancient documents and refused to pay. The deal was done without it.

We had a great experience with Ocean. Steve was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful through the process of getting our property on the market. The team secured a number of viewings and several offers on our property, and communication was excellent throughout the process. Particularly outstanding was the experience we had with Melissa, who sold our property and managed the move upto completion. She was extremely supportive, patient, communicative and knowledgeable, and helped us a great deal in moving the process along. This was a stark comparison to the agent involved in our purchase (Goodman Lilley), who were incredibly difficult to get hold of and nowhere near as proactive and on the ball.
