GoogleDisgusted with how unprofessional this "company" is.
When booking a first viewing i was asked so much including wages details.
When i contacted to arrange rental i called just after 8am, the office i assume wasnt open, i called a number of times and got through at about 8.50.
I was never told the name of the 'lady' i spoke with and got huffed as when i didnt have the apartment number to hand ( i was never given a brochure or an email so could not confirm)
Whenever I spoke, literally at all, I was shouted at that my signal was bad ( I could hear her and there are no issues with my signal, Ieven called a friend right after and has no issues).
I was put on hold twice for extended periods as they hadnt turned the computers on.
I was immedietly told i would need to pay nearly £500 but not to worry as it would come off my total bill. When i asked for clarification re the total bill I was asked 'were you not given a brochure' she asked twice because she spoke over me and I continued to finish what i was saying, because manners.
She yhen proceeded to tell me to visit the website, to which i requested my total bill and an understanding of what i was paying and why. I was then shouted at , being told how rude I was and the agent threatened to bad mouth me to the landlord.
I had asked to come in to pay, they didnt have access to a computer and i didnt fancy my details being scrawled on a peice of paper, i asked their avaliability and got a very rude response, i said i could be avaliable on that day and was told fine you can have 20 mins, i asked if this was enough time to complete the paperwork and was tolf this would simply be to pay, i asked again for my bill and a breakdown of expenses.. the abuse got worse.
She proceeded to tell me shes the Managing Director ( its not a limited company so no she isn't ) and that i needed to listen to her blah blah literally didnt even listen to her drivel but to give you an idea it was threatning and just calling me names.
Ended the call by telling me the whole office thought i was rude. Not sure why they would have be on speaker in a public office.
All my calls are recorded. I would be happy to share the recording with any party.
To the landlords, i would use another agent, so many review's shout a similar story, if you need a tennant these guys will not be the agents for you.

GoogleWe have had a very bad experience with them. We paid every single penny they have asked for including the fees. We paid the monthly rent on time. They dalyed our requests fir fixing things in tne house. They were aggressive replay the phone. Ended up by delaying our deposit for two weeks after ending the tenancy agreement and handing in the keys. They tried to take money from the deposit by telling non-realistic problems in the house. The landlord was very good guy and convinced them to return the deposit.

GoogleEmma refused to arrange a viewing for me on two consecutive occasions. The first time, she argued that an evening viewing was not possible due to lack of daylight, and the second, she refused to show to my wife only, on the basis that she alone would not be able to make an investment decision. This judgmental and discriminatory attitude was outdated fifty years ago, but is simply unacceptable nowadays. To make things worse, she allowed herself to threaten to report my "difficult attitude" to the seller of a second property I wished to view. This person should not be customer-facing, as she has lost the seller two buyers with no chain and ready to fire! Very poor reflection of the agency, which my wife and I will avoid at all costs, especially when the first property was being advertised by another agent.
Emma should stop acting like a nosy and entitled person who refuses prospective customers the only service that a real estate agent normally offers, i.e. arrange viewings. People have busy schedules and no time to waste with endless questions about their mortgage, the number of people who are buying, where they live, etc. Instead she should make an effort to be informed about the properties she is selling, about which she displays a remarkable lack of knowledge. About an investment property with tenants in place, she ignores 1) the duration left in the lease 2) the rent being paid and 3) the service charges in the development! In the same way that such a proposition does not add up to an investor, Emma does not add up as a sales person.

GoogleW&R were very professional up until we signed the tenancy contract, afterwards everything changed. Started with sever delay in responding to any maintenance request. We got leakage twice, once was in upstairs toilet room that left stain in the living room ceiling and they responded after many emails and phone calls. When it came to the end of tenancy agreement, they delayed the deposit and they tried to convince the landlord with none-genuine to take money from the deposit. Luckily, the landlord was very approaching person and after talking to him, they return the deposit in full. They unfairly delayed the deposit for 11 W&R working days (including Saturday). They been aggressively replying the phone calls and reached to the point off hanging up without finishing the conversation and me to recall again and again. Every time the did not give a specific answer and keep referring me to the landlord. We have a good track record in renting, and this is the first time to deal with an estate agent like this. I deliberately delayed my feedback after ending the tenancy agreement to reflect on the overall experience. Given that, we paid the rent for 13 month on time even the fees and all other expenses paid them on time and as soon as i have been asked to.

GoogleWe where looking to rent from them. I do not like to be aggressive so i will try to keep this review practical and short.
Every email from them has taken at least a week. When we first called them to say we wanted to rent they told us to pay a down-payment, we the asked for the specifics but they insisted we pay over the phone by handing out our card information. We did. 450£ that we will not get back. The reason being that we stated that my husband will be on paternity leave which they do not accept as financing. This is totally fine but had we known that, we obviously would not have payed the 450£. This miscommunication is then considered our fault.
They then said that we could only rent the property if we paid the full amount ( 6 months rent) upfront. This is a lot of money but they also said that if we didnt then we would lose the 450£. So we had the opportunity to apply for a grant that would equal this amount so we asked for the specifics to try and scrape up the amount, but then again the email with the specifics took a week to get so when it arrived we had 3 hours to pay or we would loose our 450£.
Here comes the emotional part. I feel that we have tried our best to sort this out. We are a small family. I grew up in foster care and if i had a parent to borrow from then we might have been able to sort this out. We have always been honest but of course i leave some room for miscommunication, i just wish that they did too.
I am leaving this review because i think that a good company would work with the customer to make sure all communication is confirmed before any money exchange hands. They are nice on the phone but don´t sign anything or pay anything wit hour reading ALL the specifics as they wont hesitate to take advantage.

YellSold & bought with Wentworth & Rose in 3 months
I sold my property and bought a new one with Wentworth & Rose within 3 months. The property I was selling was on and off the market within 10 days and it sold for more than another agency had valued the property at (their valuation was significantly lower than Wentworth & Rose's). Katie and Emma dealt with both the sale and purchase, and were always on hand to answer my questions and help give the other side's Solicitor a nudge as I was working to strict purchase deadlines. Will certainly use again in future (if I ever pluck up the courage to move again!)

Googlein my recent experience with Wentworth Rose Estate Agents, I was disappointed with the overall service I received from them.
in the beginning they over promise and at the end they under delivered.
To be perfectly honest I expected a higher standard of customer service from a well establish estate agent, however this was not be.

YellOutstanding service from start to finish!
The Staff at Wentworth and Rose could not do enough to support me during the process of selling my Mum’s house. Their genuine commitment to ensuring all went smoothly was much appreciated. Katie worked so hard to make sure I was happy with everything from the outset and kept in regular contact following all viewings and continued to do so once the sale was agreed. All staff were always only to willing to answer any query if needed and were friendly, welcoming and professional at all times. Thank you so much to everyone for all your hard work and support.

GoogleExtemely rude agents. Very dismissive on the phone and refused to give more details about the property we enquired about without me giving her the details of my partner exact yearly income. Would not recommend.
Agent on the phone mentioned they’re more “professional” than any other agency in birmingham. Could not disagree more. Every other agency I had contact with was much more polite and respectful.

GoogleNot recommended. They do well if you want to find a nice place for you to rent. If that place needed anything fixed though, you're out of luck. Fix it at your expense. They won't.
Forget about your deposit too.

Thanks for your review, I'm sorry to hear you've had some challenges here. I can't locate your details unfortunately but it is worth mentioning that all deposit monies are protected by the TDS who will adjudicate based on evidence supplied. If you care to supply your details I'm happy to investigate further.

GoogleProbably the rudest people I have ever spoken to.
When arriving, they said I hadn't paid my deposit and I had, they had to check it and say I was right. After a year, they deducted £150.00 out of my deposit for cleaning charges when the flat was cleaner than we had found it. They would not provide evidence of why it was so much - to say we didn't have any carpets and we used oven cleaner, defrosted freezer, mopped, sweeped, you name it. When I mentioned that the place was filthy when I got there, they admit they didn't check it in between the former tenant leaving and me arriving, as they thought as she was my colleague they didn't need to check it. Shortly after saying this, she said the cleaners and decorators took before and after pictures - in which I replied, well, if nobody checked it after my ex colleague left - where are the before pictures? The cleaners didn't clean it. What were the decorators decorating? The walls were filthy and the holes in the wall weren't filled up, we had to do all that. If no one was in there before I came in, how were before pictures taken? She then replied with she didn't want to bring up the previous tenant as she was 'old ground' and she is not covering old ground. I said we left it cleaner than we found it and I should have taken pictures to prove it - to which she replied it doesn't matter how many pictures I take, pictures won't bring up how sticky the surfaces were. £150.00!! Urgh! going round in circles! Really unprofessional and rude people.
I would think twice before renting off this contradicting company, as it seems they know every loophole in the book and they can pluck a random figure in their heads to charge their tenants after exiting the property. If I could review a '0' I would!

GoogleThe staff are well mannered, but Wentworth & Rose as a estate agency is very poor.
Their admin fees are an absolute joke and if Wentworth & Rose can charge money for something they will. My flatmate and I were charged over £80 for a two minute reference when moving out. When we had maintenance issues in the property, we could expect a reply several days down the line.
I presume that a lot of the 5* reviews on Google are from their friends, staff or bots.

Yellwell done
I used these to sell our house as we were looking to purchase a property for sale by themselves. the purchase of the flat fell through sadly, but we decided to give them ago at selling our house in Yardley.they are very professional and very respective of your property when carrying out viewings i.e. asking viewers to make sure their shoes were clean as to avoid the carpets being messed up. they kept me informed at all times on all viewings and feedback. I would certainly say give them ago no mater what area you live in they accommodate to suit.

GoogleAbsolute waste of space - would not put my name against any recommendation for them.
W&R are firmly of the opinion that their job is done once you have accepted an offer on your property. They certainly didn't see the sale through to completion - they expect you to manage your own sale, to the extent that my solicitor commented "Your estate agent should be doing this". Katie and Eamonn both explicitly stated that their interest is minimal after you've accepted an offer, as they've fulfilled their contractual obligations.
They lost the keys to my property and had given them to the wrong person, they rarely bothered keeping up to date on sale progress (at one point Katie even asked me if the buyer had pulled out?!), they ask you what to say to the buyer's solicitor, and refute any suggestion that you're unhappy with their service - email exchanges with them are like talking to a well-cemented brick wall. Didn't even contact me upon completion, other than to send an invoice of course!

GoogleWentworth & Rose provided a great service during the recent sale of our house. We previously had our house on the market with another agent and had very few viewings, and no offers. We changed to Wentworth & Rose (and kept the asking price the same) and within a few weeks we had accepted an offer very close to asking price.
Katie and the rest of the team were genuinely enthusiastic about selling the property, and were always available to answer questions and chase up feedback from viewings, solicitors, etc.
This is what estate agents should be like. I only wish that the agent we dealt with for our subsequent purchase was halfway as good as Wentworth & Rose.
Would definitely recommend.
