We recently sold our house through Wentworth Rose, with Jack as our main point of contact. We had been in discussions with him for some time about the possibility of selling, and throughout that period he consistently provided clear, realistic advice about the process. At no point did we feel under any pressure to proceed; in fact, Jack always had our best interests at heart. When we ultimately decided to sell late last year, he was fantastic in bringing the property to market. He quickly found us a buyer, and we achieved the full asking price. Jack then guided us through the next stage with his usual patience and calm approach, always happy to answer our questions, whether simple or more complex. He is a very good communicator. In summary, I would not hesitate to recommend Jack to anyone looking to sell their property in the Bournville area and beyond.

Wentworth & Rose may present themselves well visually, but the service I received was far from professional. Over the summer I enquired about a property and submitted what I believed to be a fair offer. The response I received from Emma was exceptionally rude, far beyond what I would expect from anyone working in a professional setting. The tone was unnecessarily abrasive, and the message itself contained several typographical errors, which only added to the overall unprofessionalism. My offer reflected Wentworth & Rose’s well-known tendency to list properties at significantly inflated prices. For example, a property on Lonsdale Road was initially marketed far above its realistic value, later reduced by £100,000 after failing to sell, and is now listed with another agent for £165,000 less than the original Wentworth & Rose price. Whether Emma felt my offer was acceptable or not, there is absolutely no justification for responding in such an unprofessional and discourteous manner. I have since purchased a property through another agent who communicated respectfully and valued professionalism throughout the process. Sellers: overpricing may leave your property sitting on the market far longer than necessary. Buyers: be prepared for extremely rude communication if your perspective differs from Wentworth & Rose’s.

W&R talked big to win our business selling a beautiful house in Moor Pool - they overpriced the house and then almost immediately told us to drop the price. They had plenty of viewings in a good market, but completely failed to turn these into offers. When we finally got one offer W&R were hopeless at pushing the sale through and it collapsed two days before exchange/completion.

I had a very good experience selling with Wentworth and Rose. Jack came out to value my house and was very approachable, personable and had done his market research. I never felt pressured or pushed and the fact that they are a local, independent was a strong point for me. Listing my house was very easy, with the team turning my ramblings about my house into actual unique selling points and a local photographer coming to make my house look amazing. The communication was incredible throughout, with them always keeping me informed of the viewings and the offers that were made quickly and professionally. They recommended a number of local businesses as well, from conveyancing to solicitors and were very well connected. All told, they were a true pleasure to sell with and, although I hope to be in my current property for the long haul, if I were to sell again, I would definitely use Wentworth and Rose once more

I have used W&R over the last 3 years when letting my property so they were my first port of call when I decided to sell - they helped me let the property each time it came available and achieved record rents for the area/road. When I decided to sell earlier this year, they were really knowledgable and helpful given the changes to legislation at the time. Although it was a really buoyant time in the market, I was nervous about the price we listed the house at and expected to possibly reduce after testing the market- in the first week of viewings, they had 3 people looking to offer asking price! Extremely rude and unprofessional people. Selling my property through them and they gave no communication and were extremely poor at contacting people who had viewed... they basically did nothing! When I challenged them on this Katie was unbelievably rude and shouted at me! Absolutely shocking I have never had such a poor experience with any company before. Totally two faced, nice and cheery when they want your business but when they don't perform and you ask why they turn nasty. Avoid at all costs please.
