GoogleVery glad I chose W&R to sell my home. Having initially chosen a branch of a large chain of estate agents and been thoroughly disappointed with their communication and results, I switched to W&R and from the outset, their service was miles apart and I realised how things were supposed to be done. The professional photography and advert were spot on, house on the market quickly after instructing them, plenty of interest and viewings generated with multiple offers along with sufficient information about each buyer's situation to allow me to choose between them. The aspect I valued most in the whole process was the communication from Emma to progress the sale and keep everyone in the loop which was always fantastic. If I ever needed an update on what was happening (which was rare as I was usually given the update before I started wondering what was happening!), I would usually receive a reply from her the same day. Emma truly made the whole process as painless and stress free as a house sale could ever be so thank you! I would have no doubt or hesitation in using W&R again and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking to sell a house in Harborne.

GoogleUnprofessional staff threatened to increase my bill when she was challenged! We signed a contract to sell our property because we found a property to buy through them. Their agent verbally waived the marketing cost for our contract when we signed the contract but later refused to admit it! We had to keep calling them and chasing for interests. When we call them, they book for viewing if we don’t call, there is no booking! We had a few offers significantly below the asking price. We asked them not to pass silly offers and check that the buyers were genuine and not timewasters. We received an acceptable offer after 8 months. The buyer stopped answering their phone a couple of days after they submitted the offer. I challenged the agency and asked them if they had checked the buyer before submitting the offer, but my challenge was handled by a rude and unprofessional agent who threatened to increase my bill and charge me extra for her time! I lost £300 for the solicitor, and even though Wentworth waived the marketing cost, they still charged me £276. EDIT: in response to owner's comment: 1- They refuse to admit that they verbally waived the marketing fees. 2- As a estate agency, it is their responsibility to check the buyer is genuine. 3- I attached a screen shot from their email, demanding to pay for the bill or they will add the travelling and viewing expenses, I'll let the reader to judge 4- this comment from the owner demonstrate their approach. Instead of acknowledging the issue and looking to improve, they are blaming the customer!

We actually conducted in the region of 28 viewings with qualified buyers (approx 14 hours of work) along with employing a professional photographer to make sure your property looked it's best on line. I've checked our phone records and cannot see any missed calls from you. We pride ourselves on answering all calls in a timely manner. At no time has your bill been increased. GoogleWell branded so appears professional, but staff, valuations and communications very very poor. I've dealt with them both selling and now looking to purchase a new property.Terrible with both sides. This is over 5 yrs for both Overprice your house to win your property to sell via them, only for it to stay on the market, and having to drop the price. Also rude to potential buyers. Avoid at all costs, a real stain on the Harborne/Edgbaston housing market.

The conversation witnessed by another colleague and at no time were we rude to you, we were in fact trying to help to guide you through the buying process but you proceeded to make two members of staff feel very uncomfortable. She is highly skilled in her field and negotiated exceptionally well on our behalf, expertly ironing out a few bumps along the way. This resulted in a successful sale. Takeel also did an incredible job with the photos which helped enormously. Would definitely recommend.

GoogleI had a superb experience purchasing a house through Wentworth and Rose. As a first time buyer the process was alien to me but Emma was exceptional at explaining what was going to happen and the milestones involved - she was great at putting me at ease during hiccups/challenges across the process. I would recommend Wentworth & Rose (especially Emma) and will go back to them for anything in the future.

Super rude, inhuman and dismissive. My recent experience was one of its kind in this country. The staff doesnt care about your concerns, challenges or confusion. No support at all. Kept our holding fee stating their irrelevant policy that says its nonrefundable whether you move in or not. £300 for them as a business probably means nothing but for a family(working class) its hard earned money. Just show some courtesy and moral value within your business. They spoke very rudely to my partner and threatened to complain about him when he was putting his concerns upfront. Pathetic!
