Wentworth & Rose may present themselves well visually, but the service I received was far from professional. Over the summer I enquired about a property and submitted what I believed to be a fair offer. The response I received from Emma was exceptionally rude, far beyond what I would expect from anyone working in a professional setting. The tone was unnecessarily abrasive, and the message itself contained several typographical errors, which only added to the overall unprofessionalism. My offer reflected Wentworth & Rose’s well-known tendency to list properties at significantly inflated prices. For example, a property on Lonsdale Road was initially marketed far above its realistic value, later reduced by £100,000 after failing to sell, and is now listed with another agent for £165,000 less than the original Wentworth & Rose price. Whether Emma felt my offer was acceptable or not, there is absolutely no justification for responding in such an unprofessional and discourteous manner. I have since purchased a property through another agent who communicated respectfully and valued professionalism throughout the process. Sellers: overpricing may leave your property sitting on the market far longer than necessary. Buyers: be prepared for extremely rude communication if your perspective differs from Wentworth & Rose’s.

My experience with Wentworth and Rose Letting Agency was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite moving out of the accommodation before my tenancy officially expired and ensuring the apartment was in an even better state than when we first moved in, we were met with blatant attempts to unjustly withhold our deposit. The agency tried to slap us with a £204 cleaning fee, claiming the apartment wasn't up to par. This was despite us having photographic evidence of the meticulous cleaning we had undertaken before leaving. What followed was an exhausting and frustrating back-and-forth with their accounts team. It took a staggering 5-6 weeks of constant emails and phone calls, practically begging them to raise a dispute on the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS). Their initial resistance was baffling and infuriating. Eventually, I grew weary of their tactics and decided to let the matter drop, but it was a deliberate attempt to frustrate us and, sadly, they succeeded. If you look at their online reviews, you'll notice a recurring theme: tenants being unfairly charged for cleaning or damages, with Wentworth and Rose making it as difficult as possible to get their deposits back. Based on my experience and the experiences of others, I strongly advise anyone considering renting through Wentworth and Rose to avoid them at all costs. Their practices are unethical, and their customer service is appalling. You're better off looking elsewhere to avoid unnecessary stress and potential financial loss.

We've sold two properties in the last couple of years with Wentworth and Rose, one our own home, one a rental, both times in a market that was not exactly booming owing to first the tail end of covid, and then the cost of living crisis/high mortgage rates. Both times they secured good offers, and communication initially with Katie and subsequently Emma and the team has always been brilliant. Highly recommended.

Wentworth demonstrated exceptional professionalism in their communication. Their team's responses were prompt and thorough, guiding us through each step. I would particularly like to commend Torria for her swift and detailed assistance throughout the process. Joe was excellent during the viewing, and Emma, along with others, were also very helpful. The only recommendation I would make is to change the over-the-phone payment method. Unmonitored calls can sometimes lead to data leaks, so it would be beneficial for the organisation to consider an alternative method for the customers' safety.

Do not care about the tenants at all. - I have had one of the worst experiences ever while I have been in my property. They have not cared once about any of my concerns or issues with the landlord, have lied to the landlord about certain circumstances and before I have even moved out of the property they have told me they will be taking a lot of money from my deposit for painting when all that was “damaged” in the property was general wear and tear. - The staff are rude and not professional at all. On multiple occasions they have been arsey over the phone when I have done nothing wrong. Mia in particular has been blunt and condescending over the phone - and Terry was just straight up rude (both in person and over the phone). - I would urge tenants to not rent a property managed by this agent, and will never rent from them again. They are simply out to get every penny out of people to save the landlord’s money and do not care for anyone other than themselves or the landlords.

I was scammed by Katie Wright and Torria Graver when viewing 2 Regent Road, B17 9JU property on 2nd July, 2025. My account was debited for £327.07 on a conditional holding deposit basis without any email, presentation of T&C for holding deposit. Owner Katie never mentioned that if Landlady does not agree to our terms the conditional holding fee is still non-refundable. Katie (owner) and Torria also fabricated that there was an email and when taking the money they had mentioned the holding is non-refundable. Both of these claims from staff are untrue. Please avoid this unprofessional and cowboy estate agency. Be careful with them both on paying money and also read the small prints/email (if you receive that is :) very very careful. Avoid this agency as much as you can if you want to keep your money safe.

Wentworth have been brilliant from the day we instructed them to sell our house. We moved within South Birmingham and there was a point when it looked unlikely to happen. Wentworth gave us brilliant advice, were always on the other end of the phone, and went above and beyond to complete our move. Highly recommend them to anyone, they were fantastic! W&R talked big to win our business selling a beautiful house in Moor Pool - they overpriced the house and then almost immediately told us to drop the price. They had plenty of viewings in a good market, but completely failed to turn these into offers. When we finally got one offer W&R were hopeless at pushing the sale through and it collapsed two days before exchange/completion.

Extremely rude and unprofessional people. Selling my property through them and they gave no communication and were extremely poor at contacting people who had viewed... they basically did nothing! When I challenged them on this Katie was unbelievably rude and shouted at me! Absolutely shocking I have never had such a poor experience with any company before. I have used W&R over the last 3 years when letting my property so they were my first port of call when I decided to sell - they helped me let the property each time it came available and achieved record rents for the area/road. When I decided to sell earlier this year, they were really knowledgable and helpful given the changes to legislation at the time. Although it was a really buoyant time in the market, I was nervous about the price we listed the house at and expected to possibly reduce after testing the market- in the first week of viewings, they had 3 people looking to offer asking price! Fantastic, reassuring service throughout the whole sale. In what is really a stressful time, Emma was always ahead on the sales chasing, solicitors etc. and responded quickly which is appreciated when you're working full time. Excellent estate agents. I purchased a buy to let, 7 bed HMO property. It was a complicated sale because it was a neglected property being sold by administrators. We bought and sold a house through Wentworth & Rose in Harborne at the beginning of 2019. We had seen a property we were interested in that W&R were the agents for, so we decided to sell through them to make the process easier. Our experience of using W&R was brilliant. We dealt with Jack, one of the Directors. Throughout the whole process Jack kept in regular contact, keeping us updated on what was happening in the chain, which we really appreciated. At times we felt our solicitor was quiet, so Jack helped fill the gap, kept us updated, kept us calm and helped manage expectations. When any issue arose, Jack was there to help us deal with it and help find a solution. When you are in a long chain, you really need a good agent to help manage it, and we felt Jack did a great job. I would certainly recommend W&R, especially over other local agents such as Oulsnam, who we felt were unhelpful.
