I was informed by Instagram that my post of an oil painting of a face close up had been blocked in 71 countries. These were listed.Now... firstly do the people who work there actually realise that famous and influential people use it as a discreet network?Do they realise they are a split second away from a major press backlash?Ironically I was blocked by one of the countries that is known for harvesting ideas from creatives.We have real careers that aren't affected by such prejudice. We have been around for decades but just carry on with such harassment and see what will happen.They listed all the homophobic countries on the planet but my work has no sexual content.Why is this? Do not attach an idiotic inclusion statement to my message.

In the last four months, I’ve reported one instance of bullying, one of animal cruelty and two of receiving posts offering pornography. These were blatant instances. Not one of the accounts we’re investigated or closed down. All four responses said that due to so many issues being reported they did not have time to look at these. Instagram is not upholding its standards in any way and the watchdog needs to look into this company’s failing standards.

The best thing about Instagram is everyone can make money from it and can earn upto $25 plus but it depends on the views, likes, shares and comments on a reel. It is the easiest way to make money. Instagram is making a complete fool out of themselves. Removing a huge amounts of completely normal comments and banning peoples accounts. While claiming u can express yourself freely. Its the most censored social platform out there. Their way of filtering spam has not been working in the slightest and yet, they keep reporting and banning regular peoples accounts. IG is a joke.

Instagram picks winners and losers. If you gain too many followers, based on some matrix, they block your account on grounds that you are using an app to pump followers, even though this is untrue. In reality, if you are not favored, when you reach certain thresholds for followers, they do all they can to screw your life up. My purpose in using Instagram was to market my art work. Nothing more. And, after almost 2 years of work, Instagram decided to torpedo my account by shutting it down, a week at a time, and when it is up, throwing insurmountable glitches into any effort to make things work. Small wonder Meta is tanking.

I like that you can connect with the world at large, being able to create a community of people you have never met in person but share common interests and appreciating what one posts, leaving a comment and liking. I love the tag feature that has no restrictions at all, the person you tag to a post will receive a notification that they were tagged. You can easily tag famous people like Dwayne Johnson and they will see it, its now up to them to react and show that they have seen it. Moreover, Instagram now allows one to advertise their products and services through posting, and the post appearing to people that don't even follow you. That is a great tool for marketing.

I love Instagram but if anything goes wrong forget being able to resolve it because you simply can’t. There is nobody to talk to, nobody to help you. I am stuck in this absurd loop where the app tells me they are going to suspend my account. They don’t tell me why and I have no idea and no way of finding out. They invite me to appeal, I click, they ask me to verify my age by uploading a document. I do so, the app take forever to upload, if indeed it even does. I then seem to get access and then within 12 hours the whole things starts again. I’ve actually stopped caring and if they delete me as they say they might so be it … I’ll just migrate to another platform as I can’t be bothered.

Honestly, I have never been so disappointed in a company! I am looking into pursuing legal action. Someone made a fake IG in my name with a porn site. They stole my (clothed) pictures from mine and added pics of body parts that weren't mine. They are charging $. I am a mother and a teacher. I reported this to IG. Here is my PROBLEM! I had to jump through hoops to prove it was NOT me, but they sure didn't have to prove they were me! This has caused my children undue stress & could cause problems at my job. IG clearly did NOT monitor, as the poser made ANOTHER fake IG with porn the NEXT day! I am done! I have placed a call to the police and am planning to call the attorney general. If I get a response or some resolution, I will let you know. If not, they WILL be dealing with my legal team. Good thing my uncle and his spouse are both good lawyers!

Copyright infringement. Instagram were provided with copious amounts of evidence proving images and a video hosted by them breached copyright. They failed to do anything about it. They were asked for their complaints process five times and failed to provide it five times. Looks like they're happy to host illegal content in order to make money. Incompetent, unhelpful, difficult, and useless would be my summary.

From the other reviews it looks like instagram shut down accounts for no reason, They also won't shut down an account for genuine reasons. Mine was hacked and currently the hacker is stealing my identity, using my pics, setting up fake email addresses in my name and I can't do a thing to stop it because instagram doesn't have real people in it's "help center" I've sent them 2 messages reporting an impersonated account and they've blocked me 'to stop spam' as I had contacted them 'too much'. This is criminal that there is no help for people who need their accounts to be shut down in order to protect their identity. Don't go anywhere near instagram or Meta if you can help it. What they are allowing to happen is so wrong.

Well...what can I say. I was only on it for around 10 days before I receive a suspension lol. After years of choosing to avoid such, a family gathering at my gran's funeral a few months ago prompted to reconsider, since my cousin etc mentioned it was far different to Facebook & I should give it a shot. Well, I did, eventually, at the end of June. I never really got on with Facebook, I lost four accounts with them over a decade. I had a glimmer of hope Instagram would be a little different, even though it's under the same 'meta'. Roll on some 10 or so days, I discover it's worse than what Facebook was. At least you got a heads up if any of your content was in breach of their community guidelines. Usually you had multiple strikes vs out. In fact, I never got one notification my uploads to Instagram were in breach of anything (I was clothed in all) the other half were of pets & my art. What's the crime? The best part? I didn't even know I was suspended until someone asked where my account disappeared to. The strange thing is, if you are logged in to the app, the only sign you've been suspended is the inability to update your feed. It took logging out to receive a pop up of what happened. From my prospective & on what I've now researched & heard from other users experience, it appears if you get one or two users who report a photo for whatever reason, it's an automated suspension by a bot. No human mans it. This is 100 percent factual. You then have to jump through hoops to get it reinstated, & after multiple hurdles, you MAY get your messages seen by an actual representative of Instagram, some months down the line. I for one, will not be doing this, even though some people desperately do. Gladly, I only had the misfortune of using it for a little under a fortnight. I feel for the users who have created an extensive amount of content & followers, & possibly use it in regards to a business...only to find themselves locked out without any human technical support to regain access. What is now a bit of a cliché note on something like this. If I could review under a -1 star rating, I would do so. A repugnant meta ma fia. I've begun hashtagging such elsewhere & would recommend others to follow. I can only end on two words - stay clear. It seems it's a matter of when you'll experience something similar, not if.
