I have been a devoted Instagram user since its inception and have witnessed its remarkable evolution over the years. Instagram has always served as a vibrant platform where users can freely share their life moments, creativity, and voice their opinions on global issues, which I’ve always cherished.However, recently, I’ve observed a worrying trend that necessitates attention and dialogue. It appears that discussions and posts regarding Palestine and the solidarity of Arabs with it are being disproportionately limited in reach or are causing account restrictions and bans. As a long-standing member of the Instagram community, it is disheartening to witness what seems to be an inconsistency in upholding the principle of free speech and equal treatment for all users, irrespective of the political or humanitarian causes they champion.The dynamics of global conversations demand platforms like Instagram to be impartial arenas where diverse voices can converge and engage in meaningful discussions. It would be noteworthy if Instagram could shed light on the criteria and guidelines that determine account restrictions and reach reductions, ensuring that they are applied uniformly across all user accounts and content themes.Moreover, transparent communication about how users can challenge any perceived unjust restrictions and safeguard their ability to express their views on global matters is crucial. Instagram is a really excellent website,that is until you upset them. I used the app for several years without any trouble and would much enjoy leaving comments,which I assume were good as Instagram allowed other similar websites to occasionally repost my content.All this changed when I took issue with the inappropriate comments made by posters who had viewed a video of thirteen to fourteen year old girls dancing. Since then I have been regularly suspended,for of all things,bullying and harassment. The first time this happened I appealed as initiall suspension decisions are made by artificial intelligence.However the appeal process is done by Instagram staff. My comments have been totally innocuous and would I am certain have not offended anyone,but much to my surprise it was denied. I have now given up posting as I have no wish to be permanently disbarred from using the website. At 78 years old this has upset me to be accused of intimidating people.

I have been using Instagram for 7 years and loved it. My Facebook was hacked back in February and because my Instagram was linked to it, my account was affected too. I sent numerous emails to both Instagram and Facebook with screen shots of what the hacker had done with no response from either. I was able to create a new Instagram account, but cannot use the app. The website is not user friendly at all and you lose capabilities of the app. It's sad that I can no longer use a social media platform that I really enjoyed because they refuse to respond or help with something that their own security failed.

Instagram is becoming an exclusive platform for elites. It used to display both top posts and recent posts, allowing users to easily see their own posts and ensure they were shared. The Recent posts category was a reliable way to find and share the latest content based on time. However, this category has now been replaced with the "Top recent category," which prioritizes posts with the highest number of likes. This means that posts from individuals who may not have many likes, but share valuable content, are being overshadowed. It is disheartening to see that the platform is favoring popularity and the ability to buy likes over showcasing recent posts.This shift makes me feel excluded from the platform. Why should I bother sharing posts that will go unnoticed, while those who are already popular or have the means to purchase likes dominate? I believe that recent posts should be determined by their posting time, and the number of likes should solely determine the top category posts. I urge Instagram to reconsider this approach and provide a fair opportunity for less popular intellectuals to reach a wider audience.I express my concerns with the utmost respect for the Instagram administration and hope that they will take these suggestions into consideration.

All security measures provided do not work. Video ID keeps being denied. Friend verification doesn't send the notification. I have Facebook, mobile and 2x email addresses linked yet none able to be used to verify my ownership. There is no support service any resource i can find for help. This is common among chat forums affecting many businesses. Exponentially affected my business and loss of 5 years of my content and following.

Where do I even start. I use (possibly used) Instagram to share my video game content. It has given me ongoing problems ever since I made the account, not allowing me to "like" posts, or comment, at random times. Doesn't let me log in at times. But today, while logged in, I was abruptly kicked out, with a message that my account has been suspended for "not following community guidelines." There is 100% nothing about my account that would fall into this. Meanwhile, a "home design" account that posts fleshlights and links to scam shopping websites stays forever on my dash.Much to my disappointed but not surprised, the site next told me that I must provide my personal phone number so that they can "review" my account, and stated that "more information may be requested." What "more" could they want? Who do they think they are, the IRS?! This is a scam to get people's personal information, and as a resident of the EU, Meta is not welcome to my personal information and they can shove it. I already was annoyed with the other issues with this company, I'm infuriated by the issue that happened today. Insinuating that someone broke their rules in order to acquire their personal info. Love the overall rating of Instagram here, by the way. It really reflects the experience.Fix your garbage website, Meta! And stop trying to harvest information and invade everyone's extremely reasonable rights to privacy! The disclaimer in the window to enter the phone number even states that "it may be used for other purposes including suggesting friends or providing ads." I recently had the unfortunate experience of getting my account hacked, and the whole ordeal has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated.Two days ago, I discovered that my Instagram account had been compromised. The hacker not only managed to change my password and email but also enabled two-factor authentication (2FA) on the account. This locked me out completely, leaving me at the mercy of Instagram's customer service for resolution.To regain access, Instagram requires users to send a video proof of their face, which they match with pictures on the account. On the surface, this seems like a reasonable security measure, but the hacker was well aware of this requirement. As a result, they deleted every picture on my account that featured my face, effectively sabotaging my chances of meeting Instagram's verification criteria.The fact that Instagram's verification process solely relies on matching faces with pictures is a major flaw. It fails to account for situations like mine, where hackers intentionally delete incriminating evidence to ensure their success. This not only renders the entire process useless but also leaves legitimate users like me stranded and unable to regain control of their accounts.But the real frustration lies in Instagram's customer service, or rather the lack thereof. Throughout this ordeal, I have attempted to contact Instagram for support and guidance. However, their response has been absolutely appalling. Their support channels are virtually non-existent, with generic automated responses that fail to address my specific concerns. It's clear that Instagram lacks the necessary infrastructure and trained personnel to handle such critical situations efficiently.As a user, I expected better from a platform as popular and widely used as Instagram. Useless app! Useless company. My account got hacked into, the person who hacked it was able to change my password, email and number connected to my account so I had no other way of logging back in. Other pages are posting up content of people being bullied, harassed, killed & those pages are still up? Instagram is useless!! “Our technology found your account, or activity on it, doesn’t follow our Community Guidelines” when I read this I immediately thought back to my DMs - I was talking about the bs vaccines and how the lying government hides so much crap! What sucks the most is the reoccurring problems to use the service with an ordinary web browser. At Instagram they apply highly experimental server side counter-measures to tell humans and bots apart, and those fail and block you with a very poor error message: """There was a problem with logging you in to Instagram. Please try again soon."""Recently, the server's login page couldn't even be reached for days because of a redirection error. Additionally, in attempts at preventing you from browsing galleries without being logged in, they show an error message and claim an account isn't available anymore.It happens that a hash tag gallery may not be browsable, because someone has recently reported a post. Why don't they simply hide the post and review it?Overall, they don't do enough to battle spammers and fake accounts. Those dump their spam posts anywhere, particularly with completely unrelated hash tags and posts that are clearly recognizable as spam.

I am launching a new luxury perfume brand and am due to launch soon.I set up my account on Instagram, as one does, and started to put content. Had generated 62 followers with a lot of engagement, in a small amount of time. Was preparing to upload all my pre-launch material with my content agency then suddenly Instagram blocks my accounts and asks for verification. Of course, I immediately do that. I upload a selfie, use the code sent etc.-They come back by email saying the image isn't acceptable as it doesn't follow 'Community guidelines'. How is that possible? it is my own selfie with their code! What community guidelines is involved here?!-Soon after, another email said my account is blocked permanently and the decision will not be reversed.-My brand name-which is copyrighted is now blocked by Instagram and I cannot use it to open another account unless I change it. This is legally not ok!-Answered back on the same email. Got an automatic reply back saying 'refer to help centre'. How can I refer to the Help Centre if I don't have an account anymore?-Tried to call the Meta U.S number but it just directs you to the Help Centre- which doesn't give any answers and no replies anyway.-Sent to their support email (found on the internet). No reply.-Finally as a last resort, I 'reported a problem' through my private Instagram account. Nothing.-Asked people here and there. Many said they experienced the same thing and good luck getting any replies back!How is this even possible in the 21st century?There are no posts, messages or engagements, in the account, that violate any guidelines.This is a complete violation of customer rights as it gives no justified explanations.-A copyrighted brand name has been blocked.-A brand with engagements and content that was designed and a logo that was also copyrighted has been blocked.- All followers (many of which are influencers) and content that was specially designed for the brand, by an agency, are gone!A very bad image for my brand!I need answers and explanations on this situation.How is this acceptable? how can I get answers?
