Hacked account, NO SUPPORT

My account has been hacked for over a week now, I lost everything and I'm a victim of impersonation. Myself and lots of my contacts on Instagram have reported multiple time to Instagram what is happening (the hacker has used my profile to create a new one and send l Bitcoin spam to all my contacts). Instagram is just not helping, if anything is supporting the hacker just by not taking this seriously at all. Is such an invasion, he has all my family pictures and all my family and friends contacts. I have a baby of 13 months old and we were creating some memories on Instagram too. I have reported to the Police, but I am worried and I don't feel safe at all. I'll never do another account on Instagram and I would advice against. No support and no people working behind it, which means you are on your own if anything goes wrong. Also how the heck my Instagram was hacked? I barely use it! I could give less then 1 star if I could.

Instagram is in full force sensoring freedom of speech ! Zuckerberg must be stopped as he is violating Americans Constitutional rights in order to push the lefts propaganda of misinformation and disinformation keeping the left brainwashed and unaware which is very dangerous. I have screwnshots of every post that they say goes against their community standards yet the evil leftists can post whatever they want which is driven by hate . I posted something responding to a family losing their pet stating that pets are better than most humans. That was removed 🙄 I plan on notifying our local government in the Red State I now reside . Why are Red States allowing this POS to build in Data Centers everywhere draining our water and energy when he is manipulating the truth for Democrats. They are removing every post regardless of the topic.

Very poor. Don't use it much but every time I try to log in I have to go through a pantomime of getting a code to either my email or phone. It says 'we've sent a code' but it doesn't arrive... repeat... So tedious. Really don't get the attraction. Also I see from lack of response to reviews that they don't care at all about UX.

The biggest scam company in the world

There is no chance that a company that completely lacks respect and desire to help its customers will survive in the long term. I run a business and have tried to advertise but also had my ad account hijacked which I noticed when they started withdrawing money from my account and I then tried to get in touch with META to get my ad account back which was completely impossible and you just click around without getting any further so I had to simply remove my cards from META and then start the process of trying to get my money back which turned out to be completely impossible although after 6 months I managed to get someone to speak to at META.Then META informs me that they have paid back my money, which they didn't and I had to argue and click around for months without getting my money back and META who thought I had received it, so I finally chose to report META to the police and then I left to the bank with my police report and finally got my money back.What is most tragic is that when META's platforms have nowhere to turn when you get hacked, which has resulted in the creation of a whole industry for criminals who make a living by hijacking accounts when they know that we don't get any help from META then they contact their victims via other social platforms and demand money to return the account.I now have an Instagram account that has been hacked for 3 weeks but have not yet been able to get hold of anyone at META.Imagine if people had been able to get help, this industry with criminals would not have grown up and I don't understand how META could become so big when it is run in the same way as a scam company. I really hope they come up with an alternative because I don't want to advertise on META anymore

One star for Instagram is one to many! If it would be possible to grade Instagram, I would give them -5 ... so 5 below zero (me being mild!). Their recent upgrade made it - the lady in my early fifties I am, with my 8 year old and totally perfect functioning and whit lots of love cared for Iphone 6 - impossible for me to take part in their Instagram program. No more contact with my children and nearest family members and friends ... So I have to by a new Iphone? Are you nuts? II haven’t got the money to by a new one! My old one is still functioning and cared for! Why the heck should I buy a new one? Only because you, Instagram, makes it impossible for me reach to my loved ones? I DON’T THINH SO!!! Severe security failures

My account of 12 years was hacked, phone number and email changed. They have now made my profile public which contains many photos of my child. It was set to private previously as i do not want to share photos with anyone i dont know due to safety reasons for my child. Now any pervert on the Internet has access to this. The 'help' pages just go around in circles and of no actual use.No one to actually speak to so i just have to accept that photographs of my child are now online for everyone to see? I thought Instagram was a secure platform but obviously not. They know that this is happening and being a tech company have the means to resolve it - they just dont care.Huge privacy breach and not protecting users.

I have been unjustly banned or blocked from my Instagram account without any valid explanation. As a dedicated counsellor who supports those in need, Instagram is an indispensable tool for connecting with my followers and directing them to my website. I offer valuable insights on coping with mental illness and share inspiring quotes. However, I have come across numerous reviews from people highlighting how Instagram has adversely impacted small businesses and those striving to make a positive impact around the world, including mine.I am changing my name as I prepare to get married, and this could be the cause of the ban on my Instagram account. However, I have also experienced hacking attempts in the past, which could be another factor affecting my account. Despite these challenges, I have taken the necessary steps to resolve this issue by seeking support from Instagram. It has been four days since I reached out to them, still waiting for a response or resolution.Instagram's algorithm favours only the rich and famous. It often suggests using their hashtags or paid advertising to promote posts, but the results are often disappointing. I have tried this in the past, and despite investing a significant amount of money, my posts only received one like and no new followers. In addition, Instagram encourages using the Meta app, which I have been using to improve my presence on the platform. What is most upsetting is seeing the support of vanity and sexual content of very young women/girls and even men/boys. I have received messages or advertisements on both Instagram and Threads showing half-naked individuals, where you can pretty much see all genitalia. I have reported the accounts only to receive a message from Instagram that they see no violations and have not shut down the account.Yet, I am a legitimate counsellor, supporting people in need, and I get shut down. Social media/Instagram/Threads: all platforms are corrupt. It is truly destroying the world. It's so disappointing to see Instagram support evil over good. My advice. Stop using social media.

Instagram will refuse to provide users their personal data specifically based on article 15 of GDPR but not excluding other local, European union level and international level laws and regulations. I have also paid for an ad block to an account they refuse to elaborate on why was it closed nor are they showing will to refund me for the time being. So not only did they steal my data they stole my money too. Luckily businesses can be sued.Extra question: Why is meta allowing the imagery of mutilited minors, racist and violent language but blocking access to accounts that speak against it?

Instagram is low followers unfriendly. Instagram dislikes people actually exposing high followers accounts for BS.For example, just a week ago I got restricted by Instagram because I called out an account with more than 600k+ followers for posting incorrect information about a product they're selling. The account is "heat" and they sell mystery boxes. Several items that they put in these boxes are easily obtainable for less than what they claimed in their posts. It doesn't matter if it was intentional or by accident, it is shady by them and still ongoing.How did Heat and Instagram react? They removed my comment and restricted me. I guess this is what they call selected deletion or silencing. The fact that IG restricted me already says enough. My comment contained no foul language, just purely calling them out that I found several items that can be bought for less than that they're claiming and that they should explain themselves before they actually get sued.Summed up, IG caters only to the influential and cash cows and will make their hands dirty for them.

Instagram has gone massively down hill! I’ve had the app since I was young but the privacy on Instagram is shocking! The amount of creeps I’ve had to deal with is unbelievable now I’ve actually been fighting a 5 year case with a stalker who found me on Instagram and ruined my life thankfully he’s just gone to jail for a couple of years but he made loads of fake accounts of me and other girls literally spreading false rumours and destroying are reputation but I was the main target. Instagram will not take the fake accounts down! My address was baited my friend and family got baited and he tried to pimp me out! He even started posting CP and I’ve reported the accounts over 200 times in the space of 5 years probs even more and they make silly excuses of “it’s covid we don’t have enough people to review the forms” or as soon as I send the form I get an email and they have rejected it in the same second. The impact of this situation is still messing with me yet Instagram still won’t help and everything is still up and running it’s disgusting. Instagram and the people who work there do not care about anything apart from the influencers I see influencers all the time crying about there account been banned for 2 days then they always get it back. I no longer post on instagram I just have an account with nothing on it to keep reporting all the accounts.

Shadow bans for no reason!

From BS TOS updates and basically turning into TikTok lite, Instagram is just not the same app I’ve known.You know an app you created is messed up when Onlyfans advertisements run rampant and videos of people getting their heads blown off are shown even sometimes lacking the sensitive content warning. God forbid a meme has any cuss words or even something slightly negative such as “toxic”in it because that wouldn’t make the app a safe place for kids compared to their minds being exposed to graphic violence and being desensitized from literal porn at a young age.All in all, this app has gone down the drain.

Good but not Great

Unless you're living under a rock, I think it's pretty safe to say Instagram is a household name. Definitely very useful for sharing photos as a photographer, but as a leading social media company, I do believe there is a lot of room for improvement. Notably:1) Stop cropping down non-square format images. This is a problem I've had from the very first day. I've had to add white borders as a workaround so that nothing of my images get lost when they appear as Instagram previews... but common, I'm sure you have the budget to offer your users the option to upload as landscape or portrait format photos without anything getting cropped out. 2) Make Instagram more PC friendly. I realize it was created with mobile devices in mind, but as a leading social media company focused on photography, you would do well to acknowledge the wants & needs of professional photographers who make up your platform too. Many of them still use DSLRs or plain old SLRs, along with a computer to process their photos properly.3) Allow third party apps, as long as they don't interfere with the functionality of Instagram. Particularly important to me as I want to clean up my followers & following; not because I'm a bot or looking for fame, but I genuinely want to curate my feed for people who are actually interested in seeing my photos, and weed out the bots / pretenders in the process. No easy way I can see of doing this except the long way of checking person by person, made even harder because of the limits Instagrams place on repetitive actions within a short amount of time. 4) Read your user reviews. Honestly, I can't stress this enough. You might be comfortable in the knowledge that you are a leading social media company now, and I expected to come on Trustpilot finding mostly positive reviews as a result. But the 1.4 aggregate star rating I see now is seriously worrying. It's a lot worse than my 3 stars, and I can start to understand why. Especially with all the competition out there, the only thing I would say Instagram has going for it right now is the network effect. If you don't listen to your consumers more carefully and implement the features they want more rapidly, then I fear your spotlight will fade away, and give way to other social media companies who can give the consumers more of what they want. I believe this is happening already, although I don't want to mention any specific names.

Instagram is SO BAD NOW. My engagement has dropped so much I barely feel like posting. It so much effort just to get my own followers to see a single post. Instagram has ruined itself. Its so glitchy and I've paid for the support and they still cant fix the glitches. My reels are such bad quality even though I optimise every single one. A page that has 215 followers reshared my reel and got more likes than my actual reel when I have over 30k followers! How is this even possible the algorithm is broken and Instagram is freakn horrible!!!!!!!
