New layout and addition of a “shop” is just disgusting. Instagram was already a shadow of its former self and this just makes it even worse. All about money, greed, consumption....showing clearly what Instagram is all about these days. So disappointing!!

First I'm banned from commenting for a week over a simple, non-offensive, on-topic, beautiful, hilarious joke. Then Instagram no longer works on Firefox. Now my perfect comment has been removed as SPAM despite it literally being requested by the poster to enter a contest that Instagram just cost me a win at. All because of their oversensitive Nannybots are protecting their community from absolutely nothing.

Instagram at first was great in fixing a glitch where my email was in use yet not found in the server. Made a account, was setting it up (not even 30 seconds after creation) 2 unknown users followed me, i removed them since i was set to private and said this account has nothing to follow yet, do not follow at this time. A few months go by and i get a scam email claiming a change made to my account. Go to log in and find out im account removed/closed for "community guideline" violation. Went to the guidelines to see what i broke...... nothing there no line saying i cant say "no following at this time" nor about removing followers. Check my emails again cause it states "30 day appeals period passed" ...... how when i just was told by your error screen? Filled out an appeal anyways, got the email for confirmation of id, sent what they asked, and nothing happened. So is this my fate when they merge Instagram, Facebook and oculus together...me loosing my access to my vr headset and any game on it? I think atleast an email telling me what i did, emails of any future possible issues, and a chance to fix it is a fair request to ask.

I was hacked and had my account disabled due to being reported as “impersonating another person” and “spam”. Those reports were because I was hacked by a spammer, so someone was indeed impersonating ME. I sent an authorization code via text message, I also submitted a form with identification card and passport and NOTHING. I have not been helped whatsoever and I did nothing wrong. Ive owned this account since 2013. When will I be helped regarding this matter its been two weeks?

I have put 1,5 month of work into preparing my art portfolio for instagram and after a month of using it I kept getting strange warnings about suspicious activity going on on my account (obviously not true), I had to log in again with a code sent by mail and finally my account got suspended. Now they want something like police mugshot from me to prove that I am the owner of my account. Not only that, they want me to hold A4 paper with my handwritten name and a code they have sent me, they also want the picture to show that the hands holding page belong to me! (did they start hand-recognition AI?). Otherwise I can't get my account back. So I won't, because I think there is a limit in surveillance they are pursuing. I can imagine that kind of behaviour in the lawless US, but I think in Europe it should have been forbidden. I don’t have a proof, but I think the reason to persecute users this way is that I haven’t published any picture of me, and that I use tracker blockers, ad-block and use separate browser for instagram only. I can imagine they just punish people for disturbing their main goal of collecting private data without consent of the user which data they sell to advertisers.So if you don’t mind giving away everything they ask you can use it. But I think the more people become dependent on their accounts the more data facebook/instagram will ask in exchange. Greed never stops.

TrustpilotIG Disabled My Account and It's Almost Impossible to Retrieve It.
Like many others, I'm having the same issue where Instagram entirely disabled my account. I opened the app one morning and out of the blue, Instagram logged me out and asked me to verify a phone number then enter a code. I've done so and they said they'd reach out to me in 24 hours. Their forms are useless and the only potential way to get back your account is if you make a Facebook business page and live chat Facebooks's ad support team which is freaking ridiculous. They asked me submit pictures of myself holding a handwritten code nearly five times and still nothing.Besides that point, I was always ok with Instagram. If I don't want to see something, I just don't look at it. But lately, I'm not a fan of them advertising random feeds and "influencer" posts to me. I just want to see my own feed with the people I follow. I guess there's no use in complaining about this now because my account has been disabled.My account is very regular and I never posted or commented anything offensive, controversial or used any third-party apps. This is disappointing and sad as I shouldn't have relied on an app to store all my memories. I'm a photographer and have all my images stored in my drives, but creating a whole new IG account is too much work.I have no hope to retrieving my account that was banned for no reason. If anyone is wondering why IG is so big and doesn't have any direct customer support, it's because they don't care. None of us are technically "paying" them to help us and since there's over a billion users, they're not going to handle each case individually. Funny since I've seen so many celebrities purposely taking pics that break IG's community guidelines yet these celebrities only get their images removed, and their account is totally fine. There are so many fake brands and scammers out there with FULL accounts of thousands of followers where they never get disabled. For us regular folks, forget about it. No chance.

Meta needs a rethink, they allow fakes and scammers all over the place and if reported consistently deem that it doesn't go against their community standards.However they're very quick to hide comments and dole out bans for content which is perfectly acceptable, you can tell there isn't much of a human input.

Had my account disabled for ‘violating the terms and conditions’ apparently. Still have no idea what I’ve done wrong but according to Instagram and Facebook or ‘Meta’ I deserve to have my account suspended after building up a following of 20k followers and being mindful of bullying, harassment, sharing pictures or videos that others may find offensive and had my account for over 10 years! I use my page for networking, connecting with industry professionals and sharing my work. This is totally uncalled for and very unnecessary. I used to be a big fan of Instagram but not anymore. Simple solution to this problem, would be to flag the content to the user and give them a heads up that the content that was shared was not allowed for whatever reason and either delete the video or block it. Done! No harm done to anyone. I don’t know wether or not I will be getting my account back but until then, I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. 👎🏽

Instagram "disabled" my Instagram account for no apparent reason. I hadn't posted or commented on anything for over a year. The process for reactivating your account is automated - there is no way to contact customer services or to check on the status of the review process. I have copies of all my photos (I'm not naive enough to let Instagram look after them for me), however the 10 years worth of contacts/friends that I have made are irreplaceable. Instagram/Meta has such a large user base that it really does not care about providing any semblance customer service, a few hundred thousand dissatisfied customers are expendable. If you get hacked or if they suddenly decide to disable your account, do not expect to be able to recover it. Nt being able to access my personal account has been a big loss for me. Cancelling both of our company Instagram accounts has been satisfying. I'm not wiling to promote my companies through an unreliable, unstable platform.

Horrible. I'm not able to log in to my business account on my desktop. There are certain tasks that need to be completed by desktop. This company has no organized system to address issues. Instagram automated message states to enter the 4 digit code sent to my phone number ending in---- but no code is ever sent. I've had this happen before and they offer no explanation as to why this is happening. I'm dealing with an actual live person now and they asked for verification information which I provided 5 days and ago and no response. This is NOT a situation where i forgot my passcode or I have an incorrect phone number listed, it's a situation where they are NOT sending the code because their system is NOT functioning properly. I have never had such a bad experience with logging into an account. Fix your system Instagram/Facebook and If you can not do that, then you need to shut Instagram down or bring in a NEW CEO and whole new team because the people that assist you can not answer simple questions....

My personal experience with instagram is this. As soon as my posts began organically generating thousands of followers and likes on a daily and sometimes hourly basis due to the factual content I was posting about the “new world order depopulation agenda”, they abruptly shut down my account! They shut down my backup account in advance prior to doing this for absolutely no reason! I was hardly using it. They shut down several accounts I had without justification, warning, or any response, resolutions, etc. They are ruthless to deal with and even though I have other old accounts on there, I’ll never trust them again or put my best content on their platform. Refer to my fakebook review below for tips on where to post freely without penalty. Who wants to deal with endless censorship? I’m on every alternative social media site now! You will never find the truth on mainstream social media sites since it’s all being banned, deleted & blocked. That’s why most people are uninformed. Use Telegram, Bitchute, Rumble, Odysee/Lbry, Yandex (to search), Protonmail, Signal messenger, MeWe, Wimkin, Minds, Gab, Parler, and get off of the “sheeple platforms”. They’re a waste of time! All of your posts, videos, friends lists, & accounts will disappear on the censored sites. Eventually, many people will wake up to the nonsense and migrate to the other sites! It’s so much more worth it to be where you can access THE TRUTH.

If [I] believe this to be incorrect, please visit [the help page]".Definitely incorrect, we are just a regular home broadband IP.The help page link is a generic one, and there is no useful information there whatsoever.You have failed on three counts regarding basic functionality. You are also causing an epidemic of mental health problems. How can you justify working for this company?If you are looking for an alternative I would suggest Flickr (I have no affiliation).

My account got hacked 2 weeks ago. Since then I have been trying to get it back. Instagram doesn't have any proper channels where you can reach out to them and solve the issue. They have this thing where you have to send a selfie video. It doesn't even work. I have sent multiple selfie videos and they keep saying they couldn't verify me. Are you F'ing serious? I have multiple pictures on my profile which got hacked. The hacker is now harassing my friends. I have even replied to the emails I got from Instagram and they don't even reply back. fix this.
