They will kill you any moment

My 5 year old account with an impeccable reputation and advertising payments to the Meta Corporation for a total of thousands of dollars was instantly destroyed by Instagram without explanation.Which rules did I break in which post? Was this the result of a moderator error that I could have corrected if I had been notified that my content violated some rules? Maybe my account was even hacked?.. God knows what goes on in their heads.You will not receive any clear answer and help. Even those convicted of murder, by God, are given the right to find out exactly what they are accused of and to be given the opportunity to speak in their defense.You don't get this feature from Instagram. You will not know who and on what basis condemned you. They will simply kill your account, your business, your many years of work. Any time. You are defenseless against them. They will never bear any responsibility for what they destroyed.Be careful. Don't use Instagram. NEVER use it!

It's IMPOSSIBLE to find anyone to talk…

It's IMPOSSIBLE to find anyone to talk to in order to help resolve a problem. Not only do they not allow you to call, but you can't even send an email anywhere for support. So I'm pretty much just stuck with my unresolved issues. Extremely frustrating! You'd think a company this big would offer some kind of support other than the "help links".

I have attempted several times to…

I have attempted several times to contact Instagram in order to retrieve my account, which was taken over by hackers a couple of months. The hackers subsequently changed the email address and phone number and set up a 2 step authenticator. My original account name was natty_nige7, but I have checked it now and seems that the hackers have changed it to nat_nig12. I have submitted a selfie to Instagram in order to provide proof that it's my account, but I've not heard anything back. I have tried to do it again recently, but there doesn't now seem to be anywhere that asks me to take a selfie...no "need more help" button anymore! This is incredibly frustrating as you can imagine! How on earth can a multi billion dollar company not have a contact address or phone number!

suspended without a reason

My account got suspended without a reason.I did nothing wrong or used any third party app etcI have tried every possible password I normally use and it won’t accept it …Then I type the password on the website version it do accept the code but instagram doesn’t work after that…I aren’t allowed to choose forgot password etc…I have tried report the issues etc but instagram/meta won’t do anythingThis is not that great customer service FIX it please

They advertise scams

They advertise scams, when you write on the advert its a scam avoid, they ban you from writing comments on posts, so they quite clearly know what they are advertising, hence why they ban you from telling others, when you speak truth about governments, they will remove your comment and ban your from typing comments again even though you haven't gone against there community guidelines

What a joke ok someone asked for my email address I sent it all of a sudden not more than a second later Instagram says you have been banned for 30 days for what? Then I try to contest it like they I said I can I asked for the code to be sent an hour later NO code I did this three times that day well it's been 20 days still I can not get a code the more I try they say you have used too many codes STUPID so I went and googled how to contact them GUESS WHAT you have to pay to even talk to someone YES folks don't believe it try it $9 what a joke SO after the 30 days I better be able to get in I'm going to tell Instagram what I think and leave when I'm done I'll be banned for life so beware what you do on there I've given my email a hundred times from there they're useless

Numerous times I have flagged if Instagram shows me a post/reel or an ad which includes something very distressing for myself which makes me deeply uncomfortable, and they *still* show me that kind of content! The user experience seems to be at the bottom of their list of priorities, let alone user safety.

USELESS! USELESS!! USELESS!!! True account holders are NOT Instagram’s first priority. They’re protecting the thieves and hackers! I lost my account this past weekend because my account was hacked, and the hacker replaced my personal information with theirs. I contacted Instagram security help several times with every single evidence I provided proving the account belongs to me, and keep getting the same response (your information couldn’t be confirmed). Bunch of baloney! Either you people are very lazy or your company is being run by robot and/or criminals. Bottom line…when it comes to privacy and security, INSTAGRAM SUCKS!!!

Priorities are out of order

I created a second account for my creative arts, and after 5 days while scrolling through my feed, a notification popped up that it was suspended. No reason given. I read through the Community Standards I did not violate ANY of them. I clicked the button to Disagree with the decision. After 30 minutes of a black screen, I was taken to the listing of my accounts, and this new one was gone. Replaced by Instagram User, my account had been deleted. Absolute trash. I did nothing and had my account that was my own pictures of cookes and cakes I had made deleted. Thus, I got rid of my first account as well. Ya'll are okay with nudity, profanity and garbage spammers, but legit crafts are a violation somehow.

Used to be good, but has since fallen from grace.

Has really gone downhill lately, it’s basically; just one long rolling Ad. Also lots of copyright issues, people copying your posts shamelessly and rebranding. I had tried to report a copyright issues three times and got nowhere. You spend an hour filling out the form, attaching images and links only to get an automated mail in 2 days asking for all the same info again. In the end I've realised Instagram just don't take issue with copyright theft, so make sure you watermark everything. Don't bother writing to them, it just wastes your time and they don't give a hoot anyway.

I thought freedom of speech was…

I thought freedom of speech was everyones right but they seem to lick and choose what you post especually given recent conflicts and then when you share facts they shadow ban and remove your content or shares with minimal explanation. It's become a censorship app. My account no longer reaches the audiences it used to all because it doesn't fit the narrative of certain states 🍉

poor security & account recovery after hacking is useless

I used to love this app but then my account got hacked & the instructions listed on the help page are invalid.If someone from the support team is reading this, please help me get my account back & I'll gladly change my review.My account was phished & they changed the password + email. According to the help page, I should've gotten an email when this happened, with a special link to allow or deny this change…however this "special link" only takes me back to the help page.It's been a week now and I still haven't heard back from the security account I emailed. Please help before they do more damage to my account!

I hate instagram they blocked me for violating their rules for bullying my mate. I got a 30 day suspension for calling my mate a cheeky monkey. They said I was bullying him. So not only did I get blocked from instagram but they also blocked me out of Facebook. Bloody disgusting from a horrible company

Safety Risk

The platform itself isn’t too bad - few features which make it popular and the interface is easy to use and pleasant.It’s the actions of the owner (Meta) which I dislike. I reported a highly malicious scam on Instagram (it was clear) and I’m guessing AI declined my report. This has placed customer’s safety at risk.Not surprised countries like Lush don’t want to support them!

I would be very wary about using this…

I would be very wary about using this platform, as it clearly isn't interested in protecting young people.My 16 year old daughter's account was hacked and the username changed, so she couldn't log back in. Meanwhile, the hacker used her profile picture and posted material in her name.The online process of reporting a hacker did not work and so we contacted instagram directly by email. After responding with an automated message we have heard nothing since and the fake account is still there.

I’ve had instagram for years and today…

I’ve had instagram for years and today the app glitched so I had to delete the app and when I’ve tried to download it again to log in it says I don’t have an account ? I had loads of pictures and videos of now deceased family members so this is a big issue and there’s no way to get my account back? Can someone from instagram please get back to me regarding this as I’ve no other videos backed up so they are the only ones I had to remember them by. My account was made years ago so it was created via an older email account not the one I’m currently using now if instagram could please contact me to help resolve this

Customer Service NON EXISTENT

The WORST customer service to exist. Literally not helpful in the slightest. I was locked out of my account for nearly 12 hours because of their terrible two step verification method. Saying they've sent me recovery codes and I literally got no messages with any codes. Eventually when I got sent codes, the ones I was given didn't even work. I exchanged a few emails with them and they were NO HELP whatsoever. For a multi-billion dollar company, you'd imagine they'd have proper customer service?! Luckily enough I was able to regain access to my account again only because I went and researched it myself. Their help centre had NO useful answers. It's a joke!! I'm just glad I got my account back but some people aren't so lucky.

Just like Facebook

While there are some useful thing you can find on Instagram, or get inspired, the app is very addictive and you become obsessed with other peoples' lives while neglecting your own. Would not recommend this app for teenagers that need to yet build their personality and their self-awareness. On the technical side, Instagram becomes more impractical and more like Facebook each month. It is always lagging and not displaying photos correctly. Getting tired of it and might as well delete my account soon.

Everyday, for years, many of us have reported account Renegade_broccoli on instagram. The account is ran by an admitted pedophile who posts unbelievable evil. Instagram has done nothing. The FBI has done nothing. They've all seen the screenshots. So they'll ban the account AND ARREST the evil piece of human garbage behind it,or face a series of high profile LAWSUITS. if that doesn't change them, we have other options. Survivors of human trafficking are watching. We see anymore inaction, we pay people to destroy instagram forever. Lawsuits for everyone employed by instagram. We'll drag every last one of you to court. How will your neighbors and friends react to seeing you defend pedophiles on your platform? All you morons had to do was the right thing. I know it's hard for morons so we'll force your hands. The FBI better start paying attention if they don't want a group of survivors to stand infront of each fbi office in America and publicly harrass and belittle them for inaction against pedophiles.

I can't put my finger on why or how stupid this company actually is

So all of a sudden. Your business accounts been hacked. Instagram can't see that its strange that your phone number, and email has now changed and that your now posting content, irrelevant to what you've done for the last 5 year. Cant prove its you with a facial video. And so thats it? By account? I see its the exact same thing others have wrote. What a waste of time. Should I open another account? For this to happen again. No.
