GoogleSold my house with Oakmans and have been very impressed with the service provided. Initially decided to sell with Oakmans after being impressed with Ryan who on attending and valuing my property appeared to be very professional and knowledgeable (unlike some of the other estate agents from rival companies). He had clearly conducted some research and had prepared prior to attendance. The house was marketed and sold subject to contract in around a week so I couldn't have asked for more. From here the sale hit a few snags mainly down to unresponsive solicitors and issues at various points in the chain (no fault of Oakmans). From here Trina, a sales progressor took over and was absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to help. I could always get hold over her on the phone and anything I asked her to do she delivered on. She was able to get answers from my buyers solicitors more often than not the same day when the same enquiry had literally taken my solicitor weeks to do without an answer. Importantly I was kept fully updated - selling a house is stressful and just knowing what is going on goes a long way to alleviating that stress. As an overview I would recommend Oakmans without hesitation and would 100% use them again.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

They have been a fantastic estate agent over the past year and I would recommend them to anyone looking to rent a house in the area. They followed all covid guidelines and were respectful throughout viewings in our house. GoogleAVOID! Poor communication between Oakmans and tenants. I've moved into my property in July 2020, it is now December and I still have not received my tenancy agreement. You have to keep emailing and calling in order to get through to them but sometimes even this is not enough. I wrote a formal complaint in June through their website and emailed several times to follow this up and no one has contacted me to resolve the issues. As a tenant it is very stressful and time consuming working with these agents.

GoogleWeirdest experience with viewings. They went through a load of houses on the computer for 40 minutes trying to scare us into signing, even though we booked 4 we wanted to see. Took us places we hadn’t asked to see and were surprised when we said no this wasn’t what we were looking for.They didn’t appear to have informed the tenants just knocked and hoped. They then went to the houses which we had booked to view- 2 they did not have any keys and they couldn’t get in. Went back to the office after about an hour and a half having only saw a single house we wanted to and they just left us in the car for about 10 minutes whilst they were having a giggle. Then the agent just came back in a strop when we said look enough this is a joke. Unprofessional, very glad I did not let a house through them.

GoogleThe 5 star reviews are by landlords and people who've just signed contracts, the 1 star reviews by tenants who've actually lived with them. Oakmans are extremely slick and professional when it comes to getting your money, extremely poor at absolutely everything else. They don't fix issues, they are rubbish at communication, and they will attempt to deduct massive amounts from your deposit for things they have already charged previous tenants for (but never actually fixed). If you value your money, health, and general wellbeing, avoid Oakmans.

GoogleWhat can I say? We tried to buy a house from these guys and it was chaos from start to finish. We had an offer accepted on 21st July 2020. Everything seemed great until we got the memorandum of sale on the 24th July ONLY after chasing them for it. And then... ...silence. For five weeks. No sales packs sent to our solicitor, no communication from their Sales Progressor, excuses about the vendors, a blatantly rushed and wholly inaccurate EPC (where everything was marked as “assumed”). When we chased for some updates mid-August, we were fobbed off with more excuses. We hatched a backup plan and went to view some more houses just in case this didn’t work out. We happened to speak to another agent, who also happened to be dealing with the vendors of the house we were trying to buy, and THEY filled us in on the actual situation. > Scruffy agents, who are late to viewings. > Absolute lack of any information from the sales progressor. > I can’t say that they lied to us about anything, but they also didn’t tell us the whole story either. Absolutely avoid these cowboys.

GoogleI have been very fortunate to deal with such professional people from Oakmans Estate Agents on the sale and purchase of my house. from the beginning of my house sale and buying starting with Courtnie organising the photos taken of my property and a very successful block viewing arrangement, also showing potential buyers around my home, updating me on all of the viewers comments and feedback. And Sian for also keeping me informed and following up on any issues I had and helping with any documents I was unsure about, so thanks to them both and for Oakmans for a great friendly and helpful team on my house journey. GoogleOakmans Estate Agents, specifically, Sarah Tully and Emily Burgess, have been incredibly helpful. We had a very challenging situation because we were renting in Birmingham as US citizens. Every time we emailed, we received immediate response and help. I would recommend working with Oakmans to anyone as I think they look to maker the renting process seamless.
