The team at Oakmans have been brilliant. From first survey, writing the sales material and then the support to the full process the team supported and advised us. Without Alex (Sales) and Sue (chasing progress) in particular I don’t think we would have survived the process!

I’ve nothing but praise for the service Oakmans Estate Agents has provided. Met the friendly Jilly Dandon who valued the property and talked us through the whole process. She has kept us informed of the progress throughout the sale. I have found that all the staff I have dealt with very friendly, helpful and professional

GoogleAwful service. We viewed several houses and found one we loved so went to put a deposit down only for them to say they showed us round a house that had already been sold. We then tried a second time with our other favourite. We put a deposit down and signed all the paperwork this time. A day later we got a call saying someone else has bought the property so can’t have it anymore despite already doing all the paperwork and deposits. Waste of time and money do not use this company for house hunting if you are a student

GoogleTwo words - utterly brilliant . I was really needing a house for my last year at Uni. Then, one day I saw the Oakman’s-mobile pass me by, and when I got back I searched it up. I got in contact first thing the next morning, and I was so impressed with Alex’s professionalism from start to finish, and she was crucial in securing us a fantastic house. I can’t speak highly enough of them for the smooth process. Would recommend them to anyone.

GoogleTLDR: they double book student houses, puts you in a bad position for sorting a good house. Frequently double book student houses. The estate agents were friendly but let multiple tenants put down holding fees and subsequently told us the house which we had chosen was unavailable. This has happened to multiple other groups of house hunters I know. Really disorganised, very disappointing. If you were actually looking to lease a house for 2nd/3rd year I'd go somewhere else.

GoogleNever believe any estate agency on Selly Oak We are trying to extend one more year of house where we are living currently, and now they ask me different information about guarantor. You will just be a slave of whichever property agency if you decide to live on student area housing wth your friends here. Also, they push and rush you as much stress as possible to obscure your decision as if there would be a disaster unless you were in a hurry to sign up for it only because they want to sort out their properties on Selly as soon as possible.

GoogleI used oakman to rent my property last year. I was told to remove the furniture because they rented to two brothers who didn't want the sofa. A day before the proposed move in date, I was told the tenant failed reference. I am still trying get an apology from the agency. Today I got email to say they didn't know who asked to remove the furniture, my house was empty when they went in!
