We have been trying to sell our house through the Westbury branch of Martin & Co since February 2022, but unfortunately have had 2 sales fall through days before exchanging contracts. We have this week just accepted another offer and are proceeding with the sale which we hope this time will reach completion. During this time we have been very pleased with the service provided by Martin & Co, and despite our disappointments when sales have fallen through at the last minute they have always promoted our property well and priced it realistically in order to achieve a sale. We have also used Martin & Co when viewing properties to buy, and have always found their staff helpful when booking viewings and being shown properties. One particular member of their staff, Kerri Gunning, stands out as being especially worthy of credit as she has shown countless perspective buyers around our property during the last 12 months, and we have also viewed many different properties with Kerri resulting in an offer being accepted on a new build property that we liked. Kerri was a fairly new employee to Martin & Co when we first put our house on the market, and over that time we have seen her develop into a confident and no doubt highly valued member of their team. She has always shown an open and friendly approach to her job and her personality has proved an asset when ever we have met her.Jim and Annette Wilson both wish her well in the future.

GoogleI had a terrible experience with this agency. They booked me in to view a property that had already been let, wasting my time after I traveled all the way from London. When I called to raise my concerns, the person on the phone hung up on me instead of addressing the issue professionally. Completely unhelpful and unprofessional. I won’t be dealing with them again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service.

We rented a property from Martin and Co in Prestwich.They never ever confronted the owner of the state of the property. Our property in Pine Avenue Whitefield was in a state of disrepair and even though problems were reported, they were never fixed.They let the owner wait 5 months until we left to action any repairs.The owner was allowed to neglect the property and allow the outside of the house to fall apart literally.Martin and Co were "afraid" to confront the owner instead raising issues when we left the property.Gates and fences were covered in nails and shoddy repair. The owner allowed herself to continually come check on the property, without notifying us, and would "knock on" to check the state of the house herself.

Estate agents are supposed to help you find the dream. In our case it was a small plot of land not far from Salisbury. A call to the office was met with an un-informed assistant who assured us they would call back to answer our questions. They never did. We called again and advised that the relevant person was out for a couple of days, and they knew noting about the plot of land in question. A call back would be their priority as soon as the person who was dealing with it was able to. A call was booked, for few days later - nothing. Taking the initiative, we decided to call the office. The manager who knew about the land was unavailable. Busy.Whatever happened to the call back? The response from the office was un-enthusiastic. They clearly have better things to do than offer a service. Staff were oblivious of the land they were commissioned to offer up in this case, that was the responsibility of the absent staff member, ‘nothing to do with me’. It begs the question how they sell anything at all or can offer any confidence in the company. I wouldn’t sell a house or anything else with them. In my personal view it's badly run by people don’t know what they are doing and certainly have no interest in the client.The comment from Martin and Co proves my point. we viewed a plot of land near Salisbury. We did not say the office was in Salisbury. Martin and Co were selling the land from their office in Westbury.

Use the local office to let out my property. The rent has been late on several occasions, I have to chase the Tennant myself, there is zero communication or work being done on their part. The local office is never open and looks abandoned, no one ever answers any of the phone numbers I have. The property has now been up for sale for a few months and I have not once heard from them. If ypu phone the line to 'book a viewing at a property' it rings and rings until it cuts off. There is literally no one to speak to. Worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
