Lettings Dept just as amazing as their Sales Dept

After selling via JS (see previous post) we were left in a situation where renting short term was our only option - thankfully the whole process has been just as flawless with their lettings department as it was with their sales department!We were stung quite badly by a local competitor (I don’t like to name names but Xact) however from our very first interactions with Alan booking us the viewing, Gail being a fantastic viewings rep & Jamie and Drew taking over once our application was in I’ve been floored by the service.It all went without a hitch. They kept us in the loop while we were away on holiday & Jamie even responded to me outside of hours to ensure I had the metre readings I needed when I needed them.I wouldn’t think twice about using JS again in the future & hope that in 12 months time when we are looking to purchase we will be dealing with them!

Trying to deal with these agents is impossible. I’m a landlord at a flat on the ground floor below a flat they are agents too. They have had a major leak in the flat they are agents too and basically told me they are getting a humidifier . What a joke. My tenant says the ceiling is about to collapse as in the pics attached and Julie at John Shepherd tells me the issue is fixed. No urgency what so ever on behalf of their tenants . The plumber they used used 3 different explanations for the leak and none of them are accurate. If this is how they respond in emergency’s they are not proper agents and show absolute no duty of care to their tenants and to the other people they are affecting .NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Avoid Vijay Kapila from Bham

Avoid dealings with Vijay Kapila from Birmingham branch if at all possible. He arranges people to come into your flat without warning. He shares other people’s contracts for other flats with you breaking confidentiality. He pretends the contracts are yours to try and stop you leaving presenting a huge bill. Very underhand tactics to extract fees. No deposit back still too.
