It is extremely disappointing to have to write this review, but I feel it is only fair to share my experience with others. I made an offer, mid mortgage process I was gazumped. I appreciate this is or can be common but it is the "how" what is so disappointing. When I made the offer and agreed on the selling price, the state agent and I did discuss the negotiation strategy. After the higher bet came into play, the seller declined my offer (same value as buyer #2) because (I quote) "the other purchaser saw the value in the apartment with offering asking price straight away". I truly wonder how the seller can make such statements, same as the State Agent Manager, as they never spoke to me during the initial process, and during the second part of the negotiation I was left in the dark, no advise, no insight. Now call me crazy, but is the role from a state agent not that of sharing insight and enabling the buyer to get the property they want while supporting the negotiation stage with relevant intel? I might be a romantic. Just a reminder to those who might have been to long in the other side and forget that, buyers, we do not get to see the full story and honestly in this instance I need to say that Jeevan and James did show extremely poor support and very little interest in helping me get the property that I had agreed on and expressed in multiple times that I really wanted. We chose James Laurence to market and sell our apartment in the jewellery quarter, partly on the basis of the excellent online reviews. Safe to say the reviews are fully justified.
