GoogleI highly recommend Essence to my friends, they are efficient and reliable. The house we are currently living in is not very satisfactory. Essence carefully listened to our needs and helped us analyse the pros and cons before viewing the house so that we would not waste our time. Each of the rooms they showed me was carefully selected for a house that really suits us, so we quickly found the perfect home, because we were in a hurry to check in, and Essence team also coordinated through various parties at the fastest speed. , And re-cleaned before handing the keys to us, is a real intermediary for the tenants. GoogleGood service attitude: My agent Monica recommended me five or six listings after understanding my needs, and took me to visit some room types. She would be intimate when I couldnβt go to see the house because of class. Give me a video of the house. In addition, the location of the housing agency is also very good, especially for Chinese students looking for a house in Chinatown: it is close to the two major apartments Southside and iland, very convenient to find. In the process of renting my house, the agent has been helping me communicate with the landlord. After I realized that I could not accept the long-term rent, they successfully found a landlord who accepted short-term rent for me! I am happy to continue looking for a house in this agency in the next semester.

GoogleSince the beginning, this agency has been fairly unprofessional. It took over 2 weeks for one property to be fixed (Electricity issues), whilst we already had a tenancy agreement signed, which lead to me being homeless for over 2 weeks, until the apartment got fixed. Throughout the months, some things would need to be fixed, however most of them have been noted as our fault, or that it is our duty to fix, despite us reporting it via the property file application. We never had issues of paying on time, or being loud in the neighborhood, yet we got a "warning" recommendation from Essence Property, without any reasons, perhaps it is the fact, that most of us were working students from Eastern Europe, which are not able to pay the full rent in advance just as other tenants would be able to, but that is something that Essence Property knew about. Nevertheless, at the end of the tenancy agreement, it took them approximately three weeks to come up with the final charge costs. I e-mailed and asked Charlene twice for clarification, I never got a clear answer for 2 WEEKS. They do not care about people, they only care about profits. For instance, we are being charged 425 for cleaning services. The check out report says it needs deep clean of the kitchen (We left it in a condition that would need 2 - 3 hours of cleaning at top). and trimming the grass in the patio. When we asked Charlene to provide us more information as to how come that we are being charged that much just for cleaning. Her answer was: That it is an independent company that quoted the charge, but really, besides our address and the amount it does not say what we are being charge for or any other information. We have been treated as we would be some sort of immigrants that are inferior to Neil and Charlene, which, in some cases, I can prove by the way how they write the e-mail to me, or to the group. I also feel bad for the landlady to have such an unprofessional, double-faced team behind handling her property, I tried to contact her myself to explain her certain situation (When we wanted to extend the contract), however, when I asked Neil, he happily answered: That he is the landlord, that Essence Property are the landlords of the place, and no one else. This has been the way and attitude of this agency over the year and I am afraid, the case in regards to the final cleaning will carry on via the public advice bureau, as we do feel that this time, the agency just tries to make the most of the situation. PS: On top of this "excellent" service, Neil had the courage to ask us three months after moving in whether we could give him a 5- star review on Google.

GoogleWhilst tenancy was fine, the amount claimed from deposit was ridiculous and whilst contacted multiple times from DPS and myself, the agency has not given consent to resolving the dispute for 18 months. Even with DPS your deposit is not entirely safe with Essence Properties!
