TrustpilotUnfair trading, utter waste of time
I had a viewing booked at 5PM for a property to rent they advertised on Rightmove as fully furnished at £ 725 pcm. At 4:53PM I was already on my way to view the flat, when I got a call from them saying that the price changed because I've asked for the property to be furnished and the new price was £ 800 pcm. Although I told them the property was already advertised as furnished, they even refused to meet me halfway at £ 750 pcm. Unfair trading, utter waste of time, I don't recommend.

TrustpilotLettings Team
Thank you for all your help these past few months. Your hard work helped us find a tenant. The contract was explained to me and the whole team Chloe ,Laylah and Micheal answered my question promptly. I asked them to communicate by text or phone, so they did instead of emails, which for me are bit difficult. Thanks to ALL .

TrustpilotDisgraceful and disgusting branch
Don't use the Dixons branch on Sutton New Road in Erdington Birmingham. You will not like the experience nor the stress in dealing these people who will lie about viewing figures, haggle you to drop your asking price with veiled threats of if you don't the next offer they get will be severely undervalued, and the looming sense they are not working for you but rather against you. Staff like Mathew Groves in the office as your point of call and Thomas Wilkes the housing agent that will misrepresent your options and take every opportunity to insult you and your home if you turn the pressure up on them doing a dreadful job. In my case my house was on the market for almost a year with the relationship ultimately in the toilet with this horrible branch. I had to drop my asking price by more than £15,000 even though on the many house selling websites my postcode property and similar properties in the area had been selling at full asking price. The penny dropped when a woman was introduced to me to view my house and found out she was a Dixons housing agent attempting to scam me with a low ball offer which unfortunately paid off for them as I tried other estate agents in the area and I believe I was already blacklisted by Dixons as they wanted nothing to do with my house sale unless they were selling it at a ridiculous low asking price. I sold with Dixons and to that woman who I believe ended up flipping my property after a year back at full price. Corruption exists, just stay away from Dixons at Erdington.

The 3 bedroom on Hengham road is simply awesome and l love the property. Aside from the fact that it is situated in a beautiful environment, it's closeness to my child's school as well as my place of work makes it the right apartment for my family. Thank you Dixons, I'm pleased with your service.ODUNOLA.

The worst experience of my life.A one star as i cant give 0.Dixons and the conveyancing company made the process so traumatic that i am still recovering from stress. To make matters worst i had 2 prospective buyers turn up and told me that Ricky at the Acocks Green branch told them how much debt we were in and so she had to meet us when she saw we had withdrawn the sale as she had a horrific experience with Dixons themselves.

TrustpilotThis estate agent is a bunch of wankxxs
Dixon’s estate agent SolihullThis estate agent is a bunch of wankxxsThey misguide you with everything just to fill there own pockets! They go on like they help you to your face behind your back they stab you and take under the table handouts and give their own favourites the best shout on the property even though the owners of the property are losing out as they settle for a lower offer that is in there best interest rather than the vendors intrest. So all you landlords do not even bother selling your property with these rip offs! Yours sincerely Big General

TrustpilotStay away from Dixons Bearwood
Sorry this review is delibrately long to give you an accurate and full picture! My experience with this agency in particular the Bearwood (Birmingham) branch was a terrible one, they functioned like a systematic gang working together with the landlord and checkout inspector to rip me off on multiple occasions, systematic because my post-experience incentive and the fabricated evidence during deposit dispute suggested that they work with third parties (such as cleaners and checkout inspectors) to rip off tenants. This should not be acceptable in a responsible society like UK and should be treated unlawful like theft.Their reputation with everyone who rented from them is lamental. You are guaranteed to regret renting from this agency. Please stay away!!! This kind of businesses only deserve to learn the conduct of decency in the hard way, that is to drown in debts and thereby close down permanently. On the day of viewing when I decided to submit the holding deposit I caught their first attempt to rip me off for the amount of £350 on papers that had to be scrapped upon digging to enquire about its source, and all the explanation they gave was a calculation mistake.During the period of tenancy their circle of communication to approve and get an essential fixing done is an infinite loophole, they basically exhaust you to give up asking instead go and fix it by yourself for which you are later to be fined too since they will treat it as a deviation from the inventory report. Yes! You understood correctly!Stage 1 (The Good)The agency officials played as the front bench "gang" by displaying to be nice and on my side, and convincing me to believe and listen to their recommendations for example I hired their nominated cleaner at the time of moving out. Subsequently arranged with their nominated check out inspector, basically they played it such that I followed their advice to the letter. After I moved out and handed in the keys, they completely abandon to communicate and cooperate with me regarding the deposit. Stage 2 (The Bad)The bad one is the check out inspector who filled the document from made up lies nothing inline with the original inventory report.Stage 3 (The Ugly)This was my landlord first attempted to refuse responding to my deposit enquiries until I had to raise dispute. Then he comes back with falsely fabricated documents and invoices claiming nearly 5 times more money than my original deposit. (Don't worry this time they met the wrong guy, the landlord learnt his lesson and I recovered my deposit!)But please watch out and take this review into your serious consideration before deciding to rent from Dixons Bearwood, unless you want to experience a guaranteed regret.

TrustpilotDixons are one of the worst estate…
Dixons are one of the worst estate agents going. Nobody ever seems to know what they’re doing and pass you from person to person. Everyone is miserable and unfriendly. Extremely difficult to reach all of the time. Had a survey booked in... they didn’t even bother to show up. Contacted them, they had no real reason, said they’d call back, never did. Was also interested in purchasing a property which was a disaster. Couldn’t get hold of anyone. Nobody got back. Went in, again nobody had a clue what they were doing, passed from one clueless employee to the other... all of which were miserable and clearly didn’t want to be there. Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional, poor communications and frankly a shambles.

TrustpilotChased for money 14 months after vacating
I was renting a property managed by Dixon's with my house mate. I vacated the property after our contract had ended due to shockingly poor service. I informed Abigail Koasha from Dixons Selly Oak via e-mail that I had vacated the property and paid all the leavers fee's. I called to confirm with Country wide terminations that this was correct and received verbal confirmation that I had. My house mate then signed a new tenancy agreement on his own.I have not had any contact from Abigail since leaving. 14 months later on, I received a call from Abigail stating that I owed money that my ex-housemate had not paid because she had not bothered to fill in the forms to remove my name from the tenancy. Abigail threatened me with court proceedings in her first call to me in 14 months. My housemate has stopped communicating with Dixon's so they found me an easy target to bump up their profits.I have been forced to take this up with the property ombudsman because Dixon's continue to harass and threaten me with court unless I pay for a charge 14 months after I had left the property. During my time in the property, I could not get hold of Dixon's when we had issues with the house. Precisely zero issues were rectified. If Dixon's spent half the time they do unscrupulously chasing for money and put that into customer service, they might stand a chance. Please avoid using Dixon's at all cost. Shockingly poor service during and after the tenancy.

TrustpilotI currently rent with Dixons (hopefully…
I currently rent with Dixons (hopefully not for much longer when I have my money together to move!)and have done since 2017.Dixons on my property also manage the property instead of the landlord. You would therefore think; that in the face of any problems/issues- they would actually be relied upon to do their job?Sadly not.The service provided by this agency is that dire, once I am out, I will not touch a rental by Dixons, ever again. There are 2 rental agents at the office that deals with my property yet neither of them seem to be able to pick up a phone and update, return phone calls or correspond in a non argumentative and unprofessional way. I have been trying to call for two days now. Messages left. A call back is too hard, it seems.Boiler problems in my property were on/off for nearly six months. Now a broken freezer for a week. Whilst those are quality issues and landlord issues, Dixons/Countrywide who deal with the repair side of things think the occasional phone call chasing the landlord is sufficient.I am afraid it isn't.Then lets talk about the fees for this absolutely rubbish service. To just renew my contract last year- Dixons asked for approx £130. Bearing in mind the only thing that changes on that contract are dates and the need for an additional signature. Literally no adminstration at all. What the money was for given they can't even pick up a phone, I really don't know.Do not rent with Dixons. They are the worst agency out there.

GoogleI made several calls over a period of a week to make local enquiries, however on each occasion it went to voicemail after ringing out. Today, the phone was answered by someone called Jake and after a brief conversation the phone call was terminated. I called back immediately but no response, not sure if this is a reflection on the service or modern day tech. No skin off my nose!!!

TrustpilotI had a viewing but .....
I was asked to provide proof of fund before even being able to view a property to buy. When I said I am not happy to do this before viewing the property as I am not sure if I want to place an offer on it yet, my viewing was cancelled. This is such a violation of privacy and lack of professionalism....

TrustpilotNot a trusted letting agency
Please beware this agent does not always manage properties on behalf of the landlord. Dixons (Halesowen) collected fees from us for not reason or service provided to us and then left us on our own to deal with a rogue landlord who often ignored his part of maintaining the house in good time. It had been a nightmare tenancy through Dixons Letting Agents Halesowen.

TrustpilotAbsolutely unprofessional
Absolutely unprofessional, can barely get a hold of them over the phone, don't respond to email enquiries. After finally managing to get through to them and book a viewing they rescheduled twice then told me the night before the viewing was cancelled because someone had made an offer. I was one of the first to book a viewing of the property so what could of happened in between?
