They do a bare minimum so we ended up without a flat

I would give 0 stars if i could. We dealt with Stratford agency. Let me explain the situation. We found a flat to buy and unfortunately, the agency that published it was Bairstow eves.The first bad sign was that we waited for a man who should've shown us a property for 15 minutes (his name is Vasco Correia, just so you know the heroes by names) and after 3 calls to their call centre we were told to try to call the apartment number as he's already there. We've called a few times - failed. We managed to enter the building and get to the flat after a while. When Vasco opened the door we complained about the situation and that we'd been waiting for 20+ minutes to which he replied "so what? are you going to see the flat or not?". We were pissed with the attitude and the situation but had a look on a flat. We liked the flat so much and decided to make an offer (hadn't trusted our guts, unfortunately).The process took 6 months, each time we had to call them ourselves because otherwise, we didn't receive any updates from them and the seller. Our sales progression was Ellie Lynch (well, I would call her sales REgression). Every time she and her colleagues told us that they were doing their best but if it was true we wouldn't ended up being homeless. We've been telling her that our tenancy contract will end at the end of October since August and she didn't tell us that we should prolong it as the seller is looking for a new home herself and won't move out until she buys it. So we trusted them and ended up without a flat with all our stuff.I hate the day we've decided to proceed with this agency and the flat they listed. Hope everyone who's uncertain to work or not to work with Bairstow eves will choose not to work but to save their mental health and their money.

My solicitors were a little slow so having the team on hand to chase them rather than me having to call them myself all the time was a real help. I cannot thank Sophie enough for her professionalism and calm demeanour during a very difficult first time purchase. Sophie remained available for queries throughout the process even though she has a very busy schedule. She chased the sellers solicitors for me and always provided me with clear updates. Definitely find a better estate agent

A few weeks ago I received a telephone call from a young member of staff at Bairstow Eves. He asked me if I was interested in selling my property. I told him no. I had bought it through them funnily enough and had just spent four months renovating it. He suggested I have a valuation despite my saying I didn’t want to sell. Eventually I agreed because I thought it would be good to see what it was worth now it had been renovated. Two text messages and a long and detailed email confirming that the manager was looking forward to meeting me at my property later that week at 12:30. She didn’t turn up and when I telephoned, I was informed that it was a desktop valuation, despite the fact that I had a an email telling me the valuation would be at my property. Having dealt with them when I bought the property and having them not bothering to respond to my email to express my dissatisfaction that they hadn’t bothered to come and do the valuation, I would never ever deal with them again. I think they are a shabby organisation and there are much better estate agents to deal with.

Carlton office provide excellent service

My past experiences of using estate agents for house purchases or sales have never been positive. That is until now. Our transaction was fairly simple as we had a first time buyer buying our house and that was the end of the chain. I found communications excellent. Never any delays. Always helpful. Always on time. Can't fault them. Main dealings were with Jess & Sukie the mortgage broker, Although I was the purchaser not the vendor Jess couldn't do enough for me. If the option to leave more than 5 stars was possible I most certainly would have left more. From the first meeting with Jess the Branch Manager, we knew she was the person we wanted to act for us in the sale of our property. We had already had two other Estate Agents out before Jess, but there was no doubt in our mind who we were going to go with. Through out our whole experience, everything has been dealt with very professionally & efficiently. Whenever I have phoned with questions/queries, Jess and her team, (big shout out to Sophie who I have dealt with as much as Jess) have always been extremely pleasant, nothing has been to much trouble, and if I have phoned and had to leave a message, I have always had a call back the same day from either Jess or Sophie, in response to my message. I’m just going to get straight to it and say the whole process of buying a house was easy thanks to Sophie Heppenstall. This woman is without a doubt the success of this estate agent. It all started as an idea, and then it became a thought, that has pushed me to go and see a few houses. When I first seen the house, it felt like home the moment i stepped trough the front door.
