Poor quality viewings and service

The Clapham branch sales negotiator was late for the viewing and didn’t ask anyone from the office to notify us (15 minutes late). He had also double booked the appointment, the entire booking was a bit of a disorganised mess. There was a fair bit he wasn’t aware of and generally wasn’t that helpful. The specifications I gave weren’t followed in the viewings. I was ignored when asked if I wanted a broker and my contact information was shared when I had asked for it not to.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service, they come across very professional when they value the house, but once its on the market the staff are unhelpful and take days to answer emails. The details were incorrect online as it was put live without us agreeing the details, the pictures were awful and the one thing we did make them change. There has been no effort to sell the house, only having one viewer in two months. Only to find out that the contract is for 4 months too, devastated. Stay away from this company.

TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!! Sukie who was my mortgage advisor from when I first purchased the property to 2 years later when I remortgaged after my fixed rate expired, has been nothing but exceptional. The way he goes above and beyond for you as a customer leaves you feeling so much at ease. Without Sukie this process would have been a shambles and I would have been left feeling like I was in the deep end of it all. Throughout the process Sukie always was in contact with me and pushed to get this mortgage through for my convenience. I could not have imagined it going anymore smoother than it did. I had a really positive experience buying a home with Bairstow Eves in Acocks Green, largely thanks to Millie. She made the whole process feel straightforward and much less stressful than it could have been. Always calm, friendly, and on top of things, she kept us informed at every stage. We have used Countrywide services since 2015 and always dealt with Sukie. Every time our mortgage is due for renewal Sukie has always been there to help us find the best deals, and I have to say he always found the best deals for us. Before our recent mortgage was due to end we had our new mortgage deal all in place. Sukie called us to say he rearranged another Mortgage deal due to the change of rates ( rates went down) which saved us even more.  He also arranges different insurances like Home, life, building contents insurances. I would 100% recommend Sukie for any financial services you’d require. I feel Sukie really cares and looks for ways he can help save customers money Thank you Sukie 😊

From the word GO!! Bairstow Eves have been exemplary in every way! Kelly was our first point of call, put us totally at ease and gained our trust in selling without any doubts! DO NOT TRUST BAIRSTOW EVES, Property Rented Without a Valid Licence

I am writing this to warn other families. My family and I have experienced nothing but stress and chaos since renting a property through Bairstow in May 2026.After moving in, we discovered to our horror that the property was let without a valid property licence. When we raised this serious legal issue, the agency completely absolved themselves of responsibility, blaming the landlord. Under UK housing law, letting agents have a strict legal duty to verify and ensure proper licensing is in place before letting a property.The customer service at this branch is shockingly unprofessional. Particular staff members, Mehmet, Rejaul, and Exene, are completely evasive. They take weeks to respond to emails and refuse to answer the phone. On the rare occasion we do manage to speak to them over the phone, they make empty promises to send over details, only to go completely silent and ignore all subsequent emails.Avoid Bairstow at all costs if you value your peace of mind and legal safety. They take your money and completely abandon their legal obligations.

Sukie at Countrywide mortgage is exemplar of what a mortgage advisor should do. I really appreciate his support, advice and guidance through what seemed like an efficiently processed application. He listened to my requirements and found me the best mortgage product. I have dealt with many different brokers in the past and sometimes they prioritise what % commission they’ll be earning over your needs. However I am confident that this is not the case with Sukie - many thanks and hope to work together again soon! Also - Morgan has been a great agent and has been super efficient with the process so far. Highly recommend them!

Hi, I usually don't write reviews but in this instance I would like to share my experience we had with Sukie as our conveyancer, from countrywide mortgage. Our initial conversation with Sukie regarding the mortgage process was very pleasant and he takled every aspect of the process and nity grity. We left his office with confidence, knowing we were in safe hands. Throughout the whole process Sukie kept us updated with mortgage rates, to make sure we get the best possible rates. When we needed to contact Sukie he was always available, on odd occasions we may not get through to him but he would always contact us back with an update or info we needed. We went for life time registration, which proves to be the right decision as we are very satisfied with the service we are getting. We would recommend Sukie as conveyancer to our friends and family any time of the year.

The service and personal attention we received from Sukie Purewal was exceptional and beyond what we were expecting! His knowledge of the local and national market and his commitment in finding us the best interest rate and mortgage was excellent. The most important thing we wanted was someone we could trust and someone who put us in the right direction. He was there for us every step of the way. I'm glad we chose his services and would highly recommend Sukie to anyone buying a home! He is certainly an expert in his field and he went above and beyond to keep us updated and contacted the relevant individuals from both sides to chase progress. We were at a point where we were getting no response from our solicitors regarding exchange and completion but he was able to chase this up for us very efficiently. Where do I start! Their are countless of mortgage consultants out there who help people obtain mortgages to buy properties/homes, but not many who have true knowledge and skills on how to meet each individuals needs.
