We had quite a problematic purchase but Sean and the team went above and beyond to facilitate where they could and tried to make our first property purchase as simple and stress free when they could. Would definitely recommend.

Having bought and sold many houses I have never received such inept, incompetent and just totally woeful service as provided to me by the Stony Stratford branch of Brown and Merry.They failed to manage my sale, communication was spectacularly awful, were in a total state of confusion and consistently failed to honour commitments.Upon signing up with them they performed a mail drop of the 'successful sale' of my property in the local area - without my consent. They sent me viewing appointments for houses elsewhere. They promised to call and didn't. They failed to return my keys despite numerous requests. All in all totally and completely amateurs.Final insult? Once my chain had broken down they dropped a business card through my door with the message "we'd love to sell your house" !!Please - trust me and avoid this company completely.

GoogleIt took us 9 months to sell our house and complete on our purchase. Brown & Merry were always timely and constructive with advice throughout and there was excellent information flow along the chain during the unbearably complicated exchange process. Thanks Amir 👍 …

GoogleAll my dealings with this firm were of the best kind. In particular the manager (Amir) has a considerable talent for knowing what will work out, what might - and what won't. He is like a matchmaker on steroids. Amir knows how to deliver an efficient stress free transaction and in a chaotic world this is of great value. This is a business you can depend upon and I would recommend Brown and Merry to anyone.

We asked someone from Brown and Merry to come value our house with the possibility of putting it up for sale with them. We decided on another agent in the end but since giving my name, mobile number and address to Brown and Merry, I've had calls, texts and post through from haart estate agent who admitted on the phone to buying my details off another agent ( it can only be Brown and Merry as the agent we went with only had my husband's details). They've also sold my info to one of these house buying companies who text me constantly! I'm pretty sure that's a GDPR breach. AVOID CONTACTING!!

GoogleWe have used about 12 estate agents to find a family home and Brown and Merry, Harry especially, is hands down a stand out estate agent in and around London. Harry took the time to listen to our brief, what we wanted, and shared with us different options as they came up- it amazed me how he remembered us as so many potential buyers are on their list! I felt like his approach was really tailored to our needs. Harry has a deep knowledge of all the properties we saw and the ones coming on, so we could ask him anything. He also inspired confidence, we listened to Harry's view and opinion on a few houses that had potential- again, he has the rare gift of seeing beyond furniture and decor to sell a vision of what you could make the house. He went beyond selling the property and is a leader in the field, knowing the trends on supply and demand and also all the insider knowledge on the area (including school catchment areas!!) I wouldn't hesitate to use Brown and Merry and Harry particularly again when we come to sell the house in the future- in fact, I would insist on him.

GoogleWe're selling in Berkhamsted and having invited three estate agents to pitch for the sale, Brown and Merry and specifically Amir - the manager succeeded. He was clear, attentive, friendly and personable. He presented why B&M should act for us and made clear what we get as a service for our money. Since then we have sold and Amir's estimation of the sale price (which was a full 10% above the other agents) has paid off. The other team members, Harry, Bobbi and Scarlette have also been very responsive and supportive throughout. GoogleWe just bought our new home with Brown & Merry. The Berkhamsted team worked very hard to get the exchange to take place before our due date. Overall we are happy with the service. However, there were times when we didn't have a clue what was going on further up the chain. A little bit more communication would have been helpful to eased the stress and uncertainty. Would recommend!

Do not bother booking lettings insurance with them. It is a total nightmare to cancel and they will send you on a wild goose chase to do so. I called insurance directly, they said speak to lettings, they eventually got back to me and gave me an email to cancel with. They responded saying speak to insurance company. Seriously? Full circle. Do yourself a favour and book it yourself.
