I have lived in The Mill Village on Blackeridge Lane for nearly 9 years. I have lived in 3 of their unique and beautiful apartments that I have been proud to have family and friends round to. On the rare occasion I have needed something fixing or changing, someone from the maintenance team has been sent straight over to me. The Mill Village is well kept and safe, these really are fantastic landlords who constantly keep on top of everything, a huge thank you x

GoogleWe lived at this building for 2 years, and our flat itself was lovely, Dave the maintenance man was fab at helping us with anything we needed, but in the 2 years the rent went up by over £100 and upon leaving the communication from the landlord was cut off, they have confirmed we would be paid all our deposit and have failed to do so, are ignoring messages and now we are having to go through the small claims court - overall not a bad two years but ran by an awful landlord.

GoogleI cannot praise Raspberry Lettings enough. Harriet, Hannah and the team go above and beyond in every aspect to make sure that living at Blakeridge Village is as pleasant and pleasurable as possible.
The office is located on site thus making communication extremely easy and the staff are always there to help. The site also boasts a swimming pool and gym. It is ideally located for shopping and commuting since everything is only minutes away. The apartments are truly WOW! I have lived in three and every single one has always exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend Raspberry Lettings and the Blakeridge Village apartments to anyone looking for an amazing place to live. You will never regret it.

GoogleAlthough Blakeridge Mill is very nice and posh to look at, it's definitely not worth the money. I moved in during one lovely summer to a one bedroom flat. Nicely decorated and furnished, albeit not really comfy sofa's. Everyone told me it was too expensive for what it was, but I liked it nonetheless. It was only as the months ticked over that I started to notice little nuisances. Such as, very little storage (actually none), no draining board for the sink, which is a pain - you can definitely tell the place was designed by a man, because it's completely impractical for a woman wanting to keep a nice home. The bare brick work is very attractive but absolutely no insulation and you can actually feel the draft coming off it in the winter. Let me put it into perspective. I paid for electric (no gas in the property) at £50 per month. One would think that's quite reasonable for a single woman living on her own with a full time job. Think again!! An £800.00 bill on top of these payments was waiting for me once I left.
And like many others, I am now having problems getting my deposit back and having to go through the litigation company to have this resolved. 3 weeks I have been trying to get in contact and failed; calling at least once a day, every day, with the same comments as others about 'oh it's with accounts' and 'it's being handled'. Finally managed to speak to Harriet who was also sarcastic and rude and obviously didn't care about the amount of stress and anxiety she has caused over this period. I plan on getting my money back and then some! Avoid at all costs!! I only wish I had read some reviews before going with them. They are an absolute joke!!!
10.5.19 - edit with more comments after receiving a response from the owner.
"As you are aware there was a good deal of damage caused to your property" - this is almost laughable. The alleged damage is a 1cm chip in the kitchen worktop as seen in the images (which was there before I moved in) which were provided to me by Raspberry Lettings. I've also shown these to a few other independent companies and they said £360.00 is a joke. It can be repaired for between £40-£60.
"Should you wish to discuss this matter further please do not hesitate to contact the office as we will happily discuss any further issues you have." - this actually made me laugh out loud as I've been calling and emailing for 3 weeks and you never bothered getting back to me.
All of these comments and records have been printed and saved in a nice little folder and I look forward to getting my money back - no matter how long it takes.

GoogleRaspberry Lettings is a scandalous company who will make every party of your tenancy difficult and stressful.
We had a huge ordeal trying to claim back our deposit for the flat and the £300 for the gym and pool. I was phoning twice a day and getting fobbed off every single time "it's with our accounts team", "I'll leave Helen a note to look into this", "I'll email you back before the end of the day", "I will give you a call back later today". All lies. I made over 16 phone calls to Raspberry Lettings being told the above and I never received a single phone call back. I would speak to Sarah the night before extensively about our situation, being made promises of how it would be resolved, only to phone the next morning where she claims she has no recollection of our conversation. Harriet was just as bad, ignoring emails and making false promises.
For any current residents of Blakeridge Mills, if you haven't received your deposit back withing the 10 day limit. Contact The Property Ombudsman straight away, then make a formal complain directly to Raspberry Lettings. Once a formal complaint has been made, The Property Ombudsman can start to put pressure on Raspberry Lettings to force them to pay back your deposit and impose heavy fines upon them if they do not. You may even have to go to court to have your gym and pool deposit returned to you as they do not store this in any kind of deposit protection scheme.
Raspberry Lettings don't care about their customers or the landlords they represent. The company is clearly having financial issues due to their inability to return deposits and in our case, failing to even pay our landlord their rent.
Any new tenants looking to rent from this company should absolutely avoid them at all costs. The flats look nice at first glance. But you'll soon find they've been built on the cheap. There are holes in the wall letting in drafts, there the kitchen space is too small, there is no draining board. Avoid this company at all costs, it's not worth the stress and disrespect Raspberry Lettings will show towards you when you leave.

GoogleWhy is it not possible to leave zero stars? All jokes aside, I would definitely avoid this company at all costs as they are cowboys with deposits and I have had to physically go down there and demand my deposit back after numerous emails being ignored and several failed refund dates. When i went to their "office" and asked for my deposit which was rightfully mine i was greeted with sarcastic and rude comments.

GoogleIts all a trap to get you in. Shocking letting agents. The maintenance guys are the stars here. They work tirelessly to make the place look nice on the outside, but the sisters who run the letting agents are the absolute opposite.
The place is let down by careless attitudes from Raspberry staff. As others have said, mould problems, major temperature issues, on site crime thanks to cars being broken in to (no cameras outside!). druggies using the outside of the building to sell their wares. barriers always broken.
Only decent thing are people who live there. I feel sorry for what they're going to have to face when they leave like i did. The majority have to fight for their deposits (read all the other reviews...theres a reason this place has so many 1 star ratings). I'm honestly shocked how this company hasn't been looked in to and dealt with. But they still continuously up the rents whenever they feel like it. The place isn't worth it with the sly attitudes from the letting agents.
Oh and so many fake reviews!! Good luck to.those who move in. You're gonna need it.

GoogleI have rented through Raspberry letting for the last 12 months and I am continuing to rent with them.
I can honestly say during this time everything has been outstanding. Hannah has always been accommodating and very friendly and always ensured any small problems have been sorted very quickly. Dave the maintenance man is brilliant and always on hand if anything is needed.
The flat itself is perfect, the furniture is in perfect condition and the pool and gym are a good added extra.
I can’t recommend living here enough.

GoogleAwful, they let themselves into your apartment without notice, no knocking, just suddenly your door is being opened. This is extra terrifying when there are so many break ins.
Buildings suck so really expensive to heat in winter and you get ill in summer it's so hot and lacking proper ventilation.
Then after you leave they try to ghost you rather than returning your deposit, telling literally everyone 'the accountant is on holiday' as if it's not a bank transfer anyone can make. So you have to go through TDS to get it back.

GoogleThe flats are in a great location near doctors, variety of shops including large Tesco.
The facilities onsite are good including a swimming pool and gym.
The best thing about the flats is the maintenance team. They are so friendly, very responsive, quick to resolve issues if within their power to do so, or arrange for things to be fixed quickly and promptly if not. They really are a fantastic team and are very much the highlight of the apartments and what they have to offer.

GoogleI have been at Blakeridge village for 5 years now and i absolutely love it! I originally lived in the courtyard two beds but a change in circumstances has meant im now in the large apartments of the Mill building. Both are maintained to a high standard and Harriet & Hannah are always on hand within a timely manner should i require anything. Maintenance dave is quick to respond but over the course of the 5 years it has been a minimal requirement
Pool & gym maintained to a high standard and the communal area is spacious.
Really close to transport links and the motorway for my commutes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
