We were first introduced to Whiteley Helyar in 2000 when we were looking to find a family home in Bath. We liked everyone we dealt with immediately. The staff are flexible about viewings; they listen carefully to figure out your particular needs; and they are honest when evaluating what they show you. Since 2000, I've needed the help of a good estate agent for various issues--marketing a flat, valuing property, etc. There was never any question about who would be best--it was Whiteley Helyar, and Rupert Hart in particular---every time! We're lucky to have them in Bath.

Whiteley Helyar are the best Estate Agents I have ever dealt with! During the process of selling our house, I found Rupert and his team to be truly professional, extremely helpful, always friendly and spot on with their advice. The feedback was exceptional in that it was honest and informative which was very helpful. They kept us informed every step of the way and were always positive and supportive. My husband and I purchased our first home last October, a lovely one bedroom flat in the city centre of Bath. I can say that the purchasing process it is quite complicated, especially if you are first time buyer, and come from a foreign country. That’s why we would like to thank Tom Glanvill, who worked in partnership with us and the vendors all through the process. Tom was always present and willing to provide professional advise and support, when we needed it. He was a great mediator, because he was able to link all the parts involved in the purchasing. The Whiteley Helyar team in Bath were amazing when buying our new house. Christine worked in partnership with us and the vendors to push through the sale. She was tireless in keeping things moving with all parties and keeping in touch with us constantly as well and sorting out issuse with solicitors when things were looking to be delayed. The whole team there knew me and cared and thats what made this company stand out compared to others, in that they all were helping us to get our property. As it was due to their amazing work we offered and completed within 6 weeks. Highly recommend if you want a personal, bespoke and friendly and efficient service.

The best estate agents in Bath. The initial discussions with Whiteley Helyar were helpful and honest giving us really good detailed feedback about the house (thanks Tim!) with very good suggestions of what to do and what not to do. They also offered very realistic pricing which turned out to be achievable although higher than other estimates. The communication throughout the whole process was outstanding (thanks Christine!) so we always knew what was happening. Fantastic honesty and reliability from everyone at Whiteley Helyar and if we had to speak to someone that we hadn't spoken to before at WH, they already knew all about the property and any interested buyers. Thanks for making the whole thing enjoyable and for finding buyers who loved the place.

Whiteley Helyar are the most professional Estate Agents I have ever dealt with. The whole company work as a very supportive and knowledgeable team. Communication was excellent throughout thanks to Rupert and he created a good rapport with myself, my solicitor, the vendor and her solicitor( even the next door neighbour!). These guys were tremendous.I listed my mother’s apartment with them and after doing research of my own agreed with their listing price.They were familiar with other properties in the immediate locale and had sold an apartment in the same complex as my mothers.They produced 2 bids within 2 weeks but suggested they could obtain a higher price than that being offered.The following week they called me with a full price offer and the sale was completed this week.The situation could have been complicated by the fact that I live in New York but throughout they kept me fully informed by email and this helped the sale to be completed in a timely fashion.I would recommend their services to anyone looking to sell property in the Bath area.

Both me and my husband had a mixed experience with this agent. In general, we found Whiteley Helyar has good options for houses marketed in reasonable prices. We had a great experience with Emma, we bid for a house and she guided us through the bidding process. Although our offer wasn't accepted eventually, it didn't leave us any bitter feeling on our side. The communication was great, we liked to put our offer in writing and we appreciate Emma's diligent in always acknowledging our offer and confirmed that they have been communicated to the vendor. However, we had a bitter experience with Andy from the same company. We found another house we'd like to purchase. In general, it was an awful experience. Andy showed no interests on us from the beginning. We drove all the way from Essex to Bath to see the house on Saturday morning, only to receive a call when we were just 15-20 mins away from the house that they had received 2 offers (with a tone for cancelling the viewing). We felt this was awful, if a vendor hasn't accepted any offer yet, we did reserve the right to view the house as they already confirmed viewing for us. This unpleasant experience continued. Andy suggested us to put an offer immediately and we did put an offer just couple hours after viewing. But he didn't return our email with confirmation. We had to follow up the next day for this. And when we did call, again, Andy with a very demeaning tone confirmed our bid is lower (note that we already bid over asking price). We confirmed we'll revise our bid. We had a lot of experience dealing with agents to recognise when they're not interested with us buyers. We decided to not revise our offer, given he never returned our email nor confirming our offer. We felt the communication from the agent was very poor, we felt we were kept in bay and felt there was no point to counter offer. It left us a bitter feeling, but luckily we moved on quickly and recently got our offer accepted for a house with other agent who is much more interested with us and treats us with respect from the start :)

We recently used Whiteley Helyar for our sale and were so pleased that we did as we ended up having a difficult sale that would've been a lot more painful without their honest guidance and support. When our first sale fell through, they were genuinely sympathetic and understanding and the whole team helped up get back on the horse in no time at all. Although our sale (and luckily enough our onward purchase too) was mainly handled by the utterly brilliant Andy and Emma, we were so impressed that the whole team were kept in the loop with the details so you could ring up the office and find someone to help even when they were not available. You won't find a better, more caring estate agent in Bath, and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again (although hopefully we won't have to as they were instrumental in helping us secure our dream home!). Through the extensive efforts and hard work of Andrew Hazelton, the sale of my late father's flat was completed today for a price that I am very pleased to receive. It was a difficult property to sell because of its poor state of repair but he worked hard to help me find people to clear and clean it.
