Overall they got the job done

Overall they got the job done, and the staff are pleasant and helpful. The one sticking point was often communication with people not calling back in a timely manner, and although I am sure these guys spend all day on the phone to people, selling our house was a very personal and a call back, even if its to say they don't have the information, would go a long way. An example of this being we were not called back to say that our offer had been excepted on our new property, leaving us worried that it wasn't going to happen as we had seen that it had been marked as sold on right move. That said, we got there in the end.

Why would you go anywhere else

I have to say that Property Explorer have really surprised me. From start to finish they have been amazing and have gone far beyond my expectations. I thought with the one off price they would just be selling my house but no they help throughout the whole selling and buying process. They have all been extremely helpful and always willing to help when I have needed it. I love the online account you get which gives information of the process of your buyer and the house your buying (solicitors updates) so they do try and take the stress away. I would be happy to personally recommend Property Explorer, they are internet prices but with a whole team of expects you can go in and see or ring up. EXCELLENT 5 STAR SERVICE.

We were looking to buy a property last year and viewed a property with this agent.We wanted to offer on the property. We did offer but were treated very poorly despite being prepared to offer the fully asking price.I agree with some views here that the staff were non polite.The attitude was that there were surplus buyers so why bother to treat us seriously or with courtesy. We decided to buy another property in Limes Park with another agent and paid 20k more.We then discovered that the property we originally wanted to buy with this agent had been reduced in price? IF we ever sell our property we purchased I don't feel we would instruct this agency. ALL these comments are our opinion only.

Just want to say how impressed I am with the service you and your team are providing with regards to both the purchase of house and the rental of our buy to let. I have never been so well informed of how the sale/rental viewings are progressing and I love your online report whereby we can see how well the purchase of our house is progressing. It is brilliant. We recently sold one of our buy to let's through another agent and never got this level of service and the same applied when we were buying through an agent when we were purchasing the other house. I can't believe no one else seems to provide these online facilities, you should definitely advertise these services on your website, if you don't already. Although then everyone else will catch on!

I have been a customer of Property Explorer a couple of times now. Each time I can honestly say that I've had a pleasant experience. The most recent sale took some time but the guys in the Basingstoke office (Oliver B, Kevin and Ollie W) were always trying to seek new ways to help with the sale which eventually got me to where I needed to be - accepting an offer!With regards to my purchase, although not through The Property Explorer, George and Kayleigh in the Sales Progression Team were amazing too. They added the details of my onward purchase and still chased on my behalf to ensure that the linked sale and purchase was moving along as it should.However, none of this would have been possible if it wasn't for Stuart Groenendaal at Explorer Mortgages. With two failed full mortgage applications and having my offer accepted on a property, it was down to Stuart's innovative thinking in very short timescales that then allowed me to be successful on a full mortgage application. Without this I would have had go through the sale and move into rented accommodation!So a big shout out to the team at Basingstoke's The Property Explorer! Very pleased with the service so far

Very pleased with the service so far. We saw the house we wanted just before Christmas so put our house up for sale at the worst possible time of year! With good guidance from the team we secured a good number of viewings, leading to a buyer and agreed the purchase of the house we love - and all by the 1st of Feb. Kevin has supported the process very professionally and is now giving us a steer with the tricky onward processes. If it continues in this way until completion we will be delighted. Fantastic tenant experience from a local business that cares

Have rented several houses over the last 7 years and we recently rented a house which was looked after by Property Explorer. Having not worked with this agent before, we were delighted to find that it was a great experience. Their onboarding process was quick and efficient, and their costs very reasonable compared to our experience with national and franchise letting agents. When we moved in there was a number of maintenance issues and these were dealt with quickly and professionally.Overall we were made to feel that we were just as important as the landlord. A great experience which you would only expect from a good local, independent business.If you are a tenant or landlord in the Basingstoke area, I would happily recommend The Property Explorer over other agents in the area.

Excellent Estate Agents

We first came across The Property Explorer 6 years ago whilst viewing a property, our own property was on the market with other agents but interest was low. We moved to The Property Explorer and it sold within days!! We have recently moved again and went straight to The Property Explorer to handle our sale. This hasn't been a straightforward sale and purchase but they have always been honest with us and have given excellent advice and have always been there to answer any questions we may have had. We have no plans to move again but should we find ourselves in that position The Property Explorer would be our first choice agents. I cannot recommend them highly enough! The whole process was excellent, we fully recommend.

We changed to property explorer from another agent, who although were very pleasant did not perform, as such we were sceptical to put it mildly. Sometimes it's so nice to be proved wrong, and with Property Explorer we were. Initially Oliver Brooks came out and was very enthusiastic about our house and gave us what turned out to be excellent advice re pictures and pricing. Our viewings were done by young Ollie, who again was very enthusiastic and professional, as a result we sold within the first week with them. What more can we ask, the whole process was as good as we could have asked for. I would recommend them to anyone thinking of selling.

Firstly, I rarely review on anything! That in itself is a compliment! Originally, I used Property Explorer around 3 years ago. Without going into finite detail, an awful experience. After being reassured by Oliver Brooks that the original 'culprit' had moved on and their act improved; we decided to give them ago on our next move. We shopped around and they were by far the most competitively priced. We chose the pay up front option with the professional picture package. House sold within 1 week. We were impressed especially at the flawless aftercare service. This is where an estate agent makes their money in our view! Although our fee was essentially 'banked' by them you wouldn't have thought so. Extremely diligent, professional with a great attention to detail. They kept me informed by phone and through their online portal. Rarely I had to call them to chase, trusting they were on top of everything.I have already recommended to friends. Well done to you all, keep up the fantastic work!

Great end to end service

We went through all the major High Street estate agents and as first time sellers, we felt Property Explorer gave good advise and were the right company to handle the sale of our property due to the professionalism of its staff, knowledge of the local market and personable approach. Staff was always very clear with the way the explained things and did not go into pushy sales strategies. They were able to sell our house quickly and even when our first buyer pulled out (through no fault of Property Explorer) they were quick to act and find a new buyer. We also found our next property through Property Explorer, so as a seller and buyer through the agency, I cannot recommend them highly enough. The team that showed us around the house were knowledgeable and the sales progression team were always on hand to help with any questions with a very positive and customer centric attitude.

Overall I had a good experience using The Property Explorer and they were very good value for money. The team were pleasant and helpful. The only thing I can be critical of, is in the beginning I was doing a lot of chasing, and I had to chase for feedback after some of the viewings. However I can't mark them down as they were such good value for money. We went with the 'no sale no fee' option of £2500, which is less than half of what other agents would have charged. We did our own viewings, and in hindsight it would have been better to pay the additional flat fee to get them to do the viewings, but I don't feel they did any less than a conventional estate agent would have done for a much higher fee. I would recommend to anyone.

Everyone at Property Explorer (Rachel and Wendy in particular) have been absolutely fantastic; professional, friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, helpful and super efficient. We only rented a property for a year through them, but the whole process was excellent from start to finish. Rachel / Wendy are always contactable and respond immediately to emails. The quality and consistency of the service has been impeccable and if we were looking to rent / sell again we would use Property Explorer without a doubt. Outstanding company and service recieved.From my very first call with Ollie to discuss the possibility of selling our house, Richard coming out to see us over Christmas and conducting our open day personally, selling our house in just 2 weeks on open day, keeping us marketed "just in case", George providing comprehensive sales Progression to Christine following up the end completion.Although everybody in life is not perfect the service provided by Richard to deal with any issues that arose was above and beyond and I'm sure he'll agree we're difficult customers... Great tenant finding service!

I had a property to rent out in Basingstoke a number of years ago and I chose Property Explorer by pure chance, just walking up the street. I though their charges for a tenant find service and for drawing up tenancy agreements were more reasonable than other agents I have used in the past. They found us two sets of tenants during our time with them, good tenants who treated the house with respect, one of whom actually bought the house off us recently! Staff at PE possess great communication skills which are vital in this industry as landlords and tenants want to be kept abreast of the latest developments, or indeed if there is no movement. Rachel whom mostly dealt with us, although there were others from time to time, was very competent, knowledgeable and I always had the impression that she was looking after my best interests. I would always recommend Property Explorer as a great agents to fill your house or flat! Thanks for all you've done for us over the years. Aaron

The higest level of customer service, with the personal touch at all times.

Personally, my historical experience of property agents has been for them to forget to get back to me; the left hand not knowing what the right is doing; not replying to emails, and generally being unresponsive and pretty much uninterested in you as an individual, or in your real needs.Then I encountered The Property Explorer: They are the absolute polar opposite of this experience, in every way. Truly a breath of fresh air! My calls were always answered by a knowledgeable, genuinely friendly person who always knew my history and current status; emails are always answered extremely quickly in the same fashion. Nothing is too much of a problem for them, and they are always there to answer your questions and get things sorted for you. I genuinely thought this level of service, with the personal/human touch, was extinct. I was wrong. I am so happy that my rented accommodation is also being fully managed by them, as I now have peace of mind for the future. I simply cannot recommend these agents highly enough.

I totally trust Property Explorer to manage my BTLs and tenants in Basingstoke. I definitely rate them over the other agents I have used in the passed. If they say they are going to do something - they do it.They have also given me advice with some tenant issues I have been having with the properties I self manage in London. Online prices, high-street customer service.

From the perspective of a buyer, TPE have hit all the marks they needed to and acted in a consummately professional manner throughout - always at the end of the phone when I need them and with all the information at their fingertips.For the price you'd pay as a seller and with the quality of service on offer... why wouldn't you want to use them?! I see no downside - they really do offer online pricing for a high-street experience. Just better all-round, really.
