Excellent Service

I used The Property Explorer to sell my house, and I was extremely satisfied by the service Richard and his team provided. The service was friendly, professional and honest at all times. My house was unusual for the local market, and required a specific marketing plan. Richard put this in place and ensured the house was marketed in the best possible way, and I was very impressed with the amount of interest (and offers) he was able to achieve. The price is the same as an online estate agent but with all the benefits of a physical agent.I would not hesitate to use The Property Explorer again or recommend them to anybody who needs an estate agent.

Great Service from the start

Great Service from the start! Property Explorer was excellent throughout the whole process of our house sale. Oliver Brooks visited us at our property to discuss the sale price and next steps involved. We had no doubt that Property Explorer would achieve the price we wanted and they did. We had a few snags along the way but the Property Explorer Team were superb especially Kevin on keeping everything on track. Once we had accepted an offer, the after sales team kept us updated at every step so we knew what was going on the in background all the way to exchange. What can I say... all you need from a great estate agent team

The Guys at The Property Explorer have been nothing but amazing through out my 6 years of using them.I have rented with them for 2 years, from start to finish was hassle- free. Always able to get answers or advice from the second I was interested in a property to moving out into a new purchased property.I have become a landlord...This was a very scary thing to do renting my property out, but Rachel and the rest of the lettings team made this seem so easy. They found me loads of interest rapidly and got tenants in quicker than I thought. Reports, advice, questions when needed and the communication throughout the 2 years of having tenants was impeccable. As a first time landlord, it really made me feel at ease and never ever left me feeling unsure about anything.Then, I sell the house I was a landlord to...Now this had its ups and downs.ONLY due to the tenant, Who were perfect during the tenancy, but for some obscure and unanswered reason they became unbearable and unreasonable when selling my house.This was a very vulnerable time selling my house and to add this on top... well it nearly became unbearable.HOWEVER, once again... Richard, Rachel, Wendy and the other guys were absolutely amazing. The amount of uneccessary and inappropriate abuse I know they had received from some very stupid tenants, they made my life as easy as they could, and I seriously owe them so much. I really think I would of lost it if it wasn't for the guys in the office keeping me informed, confident and that they continied to progress things as quickly as they could.So I just want to say a huge big thankyou especially to Richard and Rachel and the whole team for your outstanding service to me over the years in many different roles. Having been tenants with Property Explorer for the last 10 years I would like to say a few words about our agents Property Explorer. Rachel, Wendy and the team were amazing during our time in Basingstoke, we had to rent two different properties and the girls made the transition between properties pain free. They looked after my family though out our time renting in Basingstoke. Any issues where dealt with very promptly and nothing was to much trouble. For the sale of your house, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Property Explorer in Basingstoke to anyone. Richard Low and his team delivered an impeccable service from start to finish. From our initial meeting , well organized Open Day right up to our completion day , the process was slow as the chain was huge but at every stage, Will kept us in the picture. Richard convinced us to embark on an Open Day and we are now converted and fully recommend the Open Days. There were a number of bids for our property and we sold for £25k higher than the Guide price! We trusted Oliver's recommendation for a Solicitors in Basingstoke who were also fantastic. I sold my house with the Property Explorer and can say it was a very professional and rewarding experience. I was met by Richard Low who valued my property and explained the fees, which were extremely competitive. My mind was made up within a few minutes to proceed with the Property Explorer. I had over 10 viewings within the first few days, and eventually accepted an offer after about 10 days.There were 4 in the chain, but I was in safe hands with the dedicated after-sales team, who kept me updated regularly with progress of all parties in the chain.The sale completed in less than 12 weeks. Abolutely Amazing... Other Estate Agents Take Note!

Selling our flat wasn't an easy decision for us as this was our first home that my partner and I had brought together but seeing as we're not getting younger we decided that we need to move into a "proper" family home...After having numerous estate agents to view our property - I would say The Property Explorer by far exceeded our expectations from the start. Prior to seeing Richard we had Connells to evaluate the property and I found the guy we saw to be what I would call a proper salesman with the usual sales pitch about how great they are, what they do, what they can do. They showed us their data based on the number of sales, click rates, reductions etc. This is of course all great but of course it would be if it was over filtered to show one month and after nearly 30 minutes and me asking so what's the value he finally told us but then said it wouldn't necessarily go for that price of course as you have to be realistic. He then wanted at least 3% of the sale price and that's when I told him politely no thanks... Note to Connells cut the rubbish out in future!OK, so I've digressed slightly - back to the lovely Richard! Richard came in and we liked his down to earth personality from the start. As soon as he came in he walked around the flat and within 5 minutes said look this is what your flat is worth, this is where the market is going, we would look to put your flat on the market for this and he explained to us the different packages that he has. We decided there and then to go with Richard and the upfront fee of £699 which meant that there would be no additional fee on completion + the additional £240 for the accompanied viewings / open house. Within a week our photos was on Rightmove - we never once doubted that they would take our money and not do anything as we had an open day the following week with approx. 5 viewings and both Oliver Walton and Richard kept us up-to-date constantly with what was happening and we never felt out the loop. Unfortunately, due to the market and the fact that we had other properties similar that came onto the market we had to drop our asking price but Richard was fantastic at negotiating and was able to ensure we got the last price we dropped to and also recommended Dezrez Legal to us which we have used to also purchase our new house. I would definitely say I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants to buy, sell or rent a property because Richard and his team gets the job done for you - nothing is too much of an ask and when buying or selling a property you definitely want these guys to do it for you as I hate to be the person who has to negotiate especially with Richard!!Thank you once again for everything you've all done - amazing service throughout could not have wanted more from them!!(On a side note, I have to apologise for texting Jess on a Sunday as I'm not the most patient person and for her to text me back says something about the team at The Property Explorer as I'm not sure that your standard Estate Agent would have responded - thank you once again).

Amazing start to finish

The service we received from The Property Explorer has been superb from start to finish. I'd specifically like to call out Oliver Brookes for his honest and transparent sales process at the start, he was always on hand to offer guidance and assistance through the initial stages. Once we had negotiated the sale it was passed to Will and George in the sales progression team, it is here where a good estate agent stands head and shoulders above those typical high street chain agents. They managed the process above and below us impeccably and sometimes even beyond our vendors agents (that ryhmes with Bonnells) when they showed their complete lack of sales progression and incompentance. Lastly a big thank you to Richard Lowe for his assistance when required throughout! I cannot recommend The Property Explorer enough, night and day from other agents such as 'Bonnells'!

Beyond brilliant

I sold my house through The Property Explorer and they were fantastic. I chose the upfront payment package and it saved us a lot of money. The valuation and open day organisation from Oliver and Ollie was very well organised and well thought out. All the team are very approachable, friendly but above all, extremely helpful. The sales progression team were great. George and Will always kept me up to speed with the progress and were always happy to answer my questions. Oliver and his team at Property Explorer were a joy to deal with in the sale of our house, thy were always friendly, efficiant, enthusiastic and quick to respond to queries and phone calls.I was very impressed with the amazing photos, my house looked like magazine shoot.On top of everything else they were also very cost effective, we used the fixed fee as we felt this represented the current trend of online sales but also Property Explorer also still had the advantage of 'a local shop window' sales.Unfortunately our sale fell through due to our buy being made redundant and we made the decision to rent our house out for a while instead. However when we come to puttng the house back on the market again we will definately be going straight to these guys.

For the sale of your house we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Property Explorer in Basingstoke to anyone :) The service from Manager Oliver Brooks was impeccable from start to finish. From our initial meeting to completion day was only 7 and a half weeks! We gave the team only 10 days to arrange an Open Day and they booked 29 viewings and 25 viewers attended. We fully recommend the Open Days. There were a number of bids for our property and we sold for £25k higher than the Guide price! Lovely agents who are really helpful and seem willing to go the extra mile to help you, until things don’t go their way. If you decide to go with a different offer, be prepared for them to become rude, unprofessional and to hang the phone up on you. Such a shame as the agent was lovely and super helpful before hand. I completely understand being annoyed about the situation but I’m 100% sure this happens all the time in this industry. Keep it professional to customers that could potentially be returning in the future and recommending you to others. House Purchase Experience

We were the buyers of a property for sale through Property Explorer. I don’t usually leave reviews!!

I needed a quick sale in order to purchase a new build property with strict deadlines which I could only achieve if I am proceedable! YES, you must have a buyer for your current home before New Build Property Developers allow you to buy! We had less than a week to make this happen otherwise we would have lost the opportunity to purchase this house due to high demand. We have lived in Beggarwood for over 11 years and found that The Property Explorer had a huge presence within our catchment, hence it seemed logical to contact them for a free valuation and advice. They were fully aware of my position and came out to see me the next day at Noon to value my property AND lined up potential buyers from their database to view my house the same day!! By 7pm that evening I had already secured 2 offers. I have never imagined that my house could be SOLD in 7 hours!!! We immediately secured and placed a deposit on our new build the very next day with a deadline to exchange contracts in 28 days. The few weeks that followed became a totally rollercoaster of stress and mixed emotions. Our buyer had lost his end chain, in which made our purchase technically non-proceedable! The Property Explorer made contact with my New Build Developers to assure them that they will find another buyer for my chain within a week. Did they make this happen? YES!!! So the deal was back on…..All was going well…until yet again the end of the chain buyer pulled out! So back to square one! The whole team at The Property Explorer from the receptionist/Sales Director/Sales Progression and Managing Director knew my voice from the moment I call them! I lost count of how many phone calls were made to both The Property Explorer and to my New Build Developer and vice-versa to make this deal happen. I had truly thought that the deal was over. Whilst I had half given up, the team at The Property Explorer assured me that it is unfortunate but chains do collapse and perhaps I have been fortunate in the past. They were still very optimistic that communication is the key and they will make this deal happen.I am over joyed to conclude that I have just exchanged contracts and shall be picking up the keys to my new property next week!! ….By the way, the whole process has only been 2.5 months…but truly unforgettable! I have no hesitation to leave this review….Hats off to the whole team at The Property Explorer in getting the job done.
