The Best Estate Agent in East London

Douglas Allen were professional from start to finish. We looked at a number of properties from their different branches. All viewings were well communicated and coordinated. Staff were always friendly, helpful and courteous. When we came to offer on a property things proceeded smoothly and effectively with the East Ham branch. Andrew Bilby took over as our named contact and he was diligent through out. He ensured things moved forward swiftly and he was always there to help. There was a constant dialogue and we were updated during the whole conveyancing process. Andrew was outstanding and I'm glad that he and Douglas Allen handled our property buying so effectively. Of all the estate agents in the East London area, Douglas Allen are head and shoulders above the rest - although I cannot name or shame other agents with whom we had poor dealings with. I would, without hesitation, recommend Douglas Allen to anyone. A first rate agent who really seemed to care about their clients. Thank you so much. An exceptional service.

Buying with Douglas Allen in chingford was a breeze. After hearing this would be one of the most stressful things I do in life I couldn’t disagree more and it’s probably to do with all the team at chingford, I had my initial viewing with Jake who was always at hand, but the whole office was on the ball with any queries I had, Natasha was brilliant with getting it all through for me as smoothly as possible as well, and if and when I choose to move again my new home will defiantly go back to Douglas Allen

Chingford branch,I made the mistake of going with a online agent who seem to take my money upfront and couldn’t care less after that. James came to see me and I knew he was the right person for the job. After 3 weeks lots of viewings and several offers he secured me a great price and the best thing is they are also refunding what I payed purple bricks. So it’s a win win situation for me. Also like to say that Jake and Jess and Katelin were great at keeping me updated. Couldn’t recommend the team more.

All round good experience

Douglas Allen provided pre-tenancy services on our new flat. Abbie was great - she kept us informed and helped us to get into our new place well before Christmas :)There were a few things about the process which were slightly irregular - the main one to speak of was that we were not invited to attend the inventory as it was taken, as I have been with previous tenencies. However eveything on it looks in order and accurate, and I don't forsee it causing any issues.

Where to start! First impressions of Douglas Allen were great, meeting Stuart really put me at ease and I felt very happy for him and his team to sell my property. He commented ok how nice my home was which went a long way. Ben, Hazel and Stuart have been consistently working hard, generating various viewings and ultimately leading to the sale of my property. my property to my buyer, I am so overwhelmed when I had the phone call from my sales professor, Douglas Alan agent, brilliant lady called Chelsey Baldwin.We had stuck through together rough times with delays, uncertainty, rollercoaster emotions, frustration and anger. Chelsey was very supportive, gives advice, opinions, chases throughout the day, weeks, months to update me. Very professional in dealing with solicitors, very sympathetic and understanding to me, I felt like Chelsey was my solicitor at a point as seems like she was doing everything alone! Chadwell Heath Douglas Allen

We decided to buy and sell with Douglas Allen in February 2017. The chadwell Heath office were very helpful and gave us lots of information prior to selling. Unlike other estate agents they did not put lots of pressure on us. As everyone does we shopped around and looked at other estate agents. In December 2016 we were quoted our house was £325,000 by another estate agents. We decided to wait and two months later in February 2017 we decided to sell. When a guide price of £375,000 was set, my husband and I were in shock. That’s a difference of £50,000 in two months. We have a young family so we opted for the Saturday open house and were amazed that we had over 50 people to view the house and had 8 offers all for on or above the guide price. The Douglas Allen website was very useful in showing how many people viewed our property online and feedback of viewings. Our property finally sold at ten thousand above the guide price and we found a very good buyer as the property we were intended to buy required a grant of probate. The staff at chadwell Heath office were amazing in selling our property swiftly. I would personally like to thank Les, Michelle, Michael and Gizem for all there help. Especially Michael who finally sold our property. Thanks you chadwell Heath team! Also, finally I want to mention theSales progressor for our sale, Chelsey Baldwin for all her help as well.You all are a great assets to the Douglas Allen company. Douglas Allen provided and excellent service in selling my property recently. Ray Phipps marketed the property and contacted potential buyers immediately - the property was STC within a few weeks at the asking price! Janine kept me updated throughout the sale and was always willing to chase solicitors on my behalf which was much appreciated.Overall, the whole team at Douglas Allen were helpful and timely in their response to any questions.We have used Douglas Allen before for the sale of property and we would recommend them and use them again.

Douglas Allen in Woodford will get your home sold and they are really good to deal with!

My property had been on the market for two months with an independent estate agent, they were nice people but even after two months, I had no offers despite all of the feedback being really positive. I decided to contact Douglas Allen because I'd heard good things and I can honestly say those good things are true! I met Steve who is one of the Branch Partners and his enthusiasm and genuine commitment and love for his job shines through. He walked into my home and was enthusiastic about selling it and really wanted me to know that I could trust him to do a good job. He was professional and persuasive at all times and he motivates the younger members of his team to be extremely customer focused and enthusiastic too. I got two offers within two weeks of my flat being on the market with Douglas Allen and I have now accepted an offer. Steve has been in communication with me every day and is available by email, phone and text. I also thought it was really good how the sellers online web area is updated regularly. I could see literally minute to minute what the sales team were doing to sell my home and I could see at one glance what the viewers were saying about my home. I was impressed at how diligently this information was kept up to date. Steve also helped me to think through the purchase of my new build property and I really appreciated that too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve and his team, they are still there to take care of me until the sale completes and I find this really reassuring.

Joelle and the team were so proactive, motivated and within a week had a number of potential buyers come and view our house and within 4 weeks had sold our house. The online account we had with them was great to keep up to speed with how our property was marketed and the amount of people that had viewed our details including record of viewers to the house and if any offers was made. East Ham Branch - Property Sold Holborn Road, Plaistow E13 8Pb

I was originally going to go with another agency but was stopped in my tracks by what Douglas Allen had to offer. My property was sold in under 2 weeks, I did not expect it to go so quickly and from the beginning to the end Natasha who works at the East Ham Branch kept me updated with the sale process, arranging viewings, open days and keeping me in the loop regarding the feed back. I also had dealt with Andrew from the East Ham branch who was absolutely brilliant, he was so professional and chased up the buyers solicitors, constantly communicating with all involved including our new build and our solicitors. Andrew made the whole transaction smooth and hassle free, taking away my stress and advising me on realistic timescales. The relationship built with him was not only professional but it was also pleasurable to hear his reassuring voice at the end of the phone took the panic out of the experience..I shall miss that voice. I think selling and buying a new house at the same time and being in a chain is stressful enough so you really need to choose your agencies wisely and I have to be honest so that others who have take the time to read my review wouldn't automatically choose the cheapest but choose the best and make sure you understand what you are getting for your money.

We was really happy with the attentive service we received from the minute we spoke to simon about marketing our property, they organised everything and kept us informed throughout. Attentive, hard working and honestWe recently completed our purchase through Douglas Allen and we are very happy with the service overall. Andy Dumas understood what we were after and showed us several appropriate properties for our budget and taste. Andy was very attentive and helpful and we would recommend him and DA in general to any prospective buyers. They know the area well and work hard for you. We also were served well by other staff including Greg and Keith who helped push the purchase through as quickly as possible. Picking an estate agent is tough and there are a lot of bad ones out there, but I speak honestly when I say that I did not see anything I didn't like about the way DA conducted its business and I'm very happy with the outcome.
