I telephoned Douglas Allen Chingford, whilst on my way to view new property's in Wellingborough. The reason I contacted DA was because I had purchased in 2005 and was extremely happy with the service. That day an appointment was made for a valuation for James and Kaitlin to come round. They visited me last Friday and within less than a week I have had over 8 viewings without it even being online or pictures being taken. I have an offer already which is absolutely amazing. I feel confident with the services that DA are providing to me and more than highly recommend them to anyone thinking of purchasing a new home as they will defiantly ensure you will get across the finish line.

Maureen and Natasha helped me during a very difficult time in selling my family home. They explained each step of the way and never once did I feel I was a burden to them or the other staff during this bewildering and stressful time. A highly proactive and organised team

I have been so impressed by the Douglas Allen team at Walthamstow during the purchase of our new home. Laura in particular has been really efficient and helpful at arranging access for us into the property and at returning my calls and emails. At every stage, calls and emails have been returned quickly, with helpful responses. Laura even called me after our offer was accepted to congratulate me, which has never happened before with any of our previous sales. I've really felt like I've had my hands held through this entire process, instead of it being something I've had to chase in order to get anything done. which has been my experience with other real estate agents in the past. In all, a highly proactive and organised team, which I highly recommend :-)

An excellent service

My contact at Douglas Allen, Tanya Keene, has kept me up to date during the sale and made it a much simpler process. It has been a quite emotional time as the flat was my mum's home for around 40 years and she had been living there until she was 97 years old and then had to go into a care home for the last 5 years. So it has been quite a wrench to sell the flat but thank you again for making it an easier time for me. I would recommend Douglas Allen to anyone looking for an estate agent.

Excellent service!

After frankly dreadful service from another agent I dumped them and decided to market my house with Douglas Allen. And I'm so glad I did. they were professional, friendly and effective straight from the off. My house went online with them on a Monday morning and that afternoon they phoned to book two viewings in the next couple of days. All in all, I had well over ten viewings in the first two weeks, resulting in three offers. Unfortunately, the first offer I accepted fell through and the team were on the case immediately. Long story short, they contacted the other two offers and we negotiated a sale with one of them. I am now settling into my new home in Dorset and very grateful for their help in my achieving my dream. They were consistently prompt and clear in communication, helpful, friendly and the viewings were well selected. The whole team were great but I should mention Maria for leading the process with skill and enthusiasm and Ben, who helped out effectively in a couple of sticky moments. They really showed me how a good estate agency should work!

Douglas Allen Barkingside found me a buyer for my house within a few days of putting it on the market. Unfortunately this buyer couldn't complete and Douglas Allen recommended putting the house back up for sale. Within 24 hours they had found another buyer and in a few short weeks, I have completed. During the process I have phoned Douglas Allen many times and have found that whichever member of the team took my call they were always up to speed with my case and always friendly and helpful. When choosing an estate agent to sell our house we went with Douglas Allen because we were hoping to move ahead quickly, and they seemed to be geared up to offer what we were after. Right from the start we got great advice and service. Our house was immediately marketed to a good number of people, and following a number of viewings within the first week we received two very good offers that were at the top end of the estimates we had been given by a number of estate agents. We had the benefit of the services of Robin and Aseena who were excellent, and led us through the process empathetically and with great experience. We are now at the point where, hopefully, completion is in sight. Thank you very much.

Walthamstow office unacceptable

We are trying to buy somewhere in the area of Walthamstow and I came across this estate agent office via rightmove. Last week I gave them a call and booked to view two properties, one on Garner road and one in Lyne Crescent in Walthamstow. Throughout the entire week the manager was trying to convince us to go and see their financial advisor, even if we have a mortgage in principle, which was unnecessary and wasn't listening to what I was telling him. When he finally got over this we finally booked to see the two properties, all confirmed via emails and SMS. When we turned up at the first property on a freezing Saturday evening no one was there. We knocked on the door but no one answered, therefore we decided to call the number provided. We got through to a calling centre (who were very nice), I explained the situation and they tried to get in touch with the person we were meant to have the viewing with. However, they didn't manage to hold of him. My wife is 6 months pregnant and we ended up standing in front of the property in the freezing cold for over 15' before finally deciding to leave. This is the second time they never show up, as we had a similar experience in a flat on Brettenham road back in September, where they mixed up the dates and no one appeared again. We are very annoyed by these people and of course I will stay away from now on as they failed to provide a decent experience twice. I would also encourage all home owners to steer away from them too.

Chadwell heath, so unprofessional!

Had a very stressful time selling through Chadwell heath branch, Michael allowed potential buyers into our property before exchange had been done, they stayed for a whole day doing work & had a moving in ceremony, even though at this stage it wasn't their house! They never asked us for permission, good job we had good neighbours advising us what was going on! We had no phone call from the manager as off sick, Michelle never bothered to contact us either. Very poor service all round, this went through the whole complaints procedure, & onto ombudsmen. All could have been avoided if Michael had acted in the professional manner in the 1st place. Would never recommend or use again.. in answer to your reply, unfortunately it happened, your customer relations dept was good in dealing with it, just not the branch.
