We sold our flat with Doulas Allen in January 2017, we were lured in by their flashy brochure detailing their extensive client base and the fact that we were promised a quick sale as they had buyers lined up for our kind of property. Sadly this is where the service ended. Open days took place where only 2 or 3 clients attended and the feedback that we were promised on all appointments never materialised. When I asked for further information one estate agent 10 years my junior asked if I'd like my husband there as there was a lot of information to take in, whilst on another occasion I was asked if I needed percentages explaining to me in simple terms (no thank you!). After having to continually chase for feedback on viewings they eventually presented a buyer who was interested yet again I had to chase them to follow up with him, finally we had an offer on the table but yet again it seemed like the promises of working for us ended. Throughout the sale negotiations our mortgage progressor seemed to be more of a hinderance than a help simply forwarding mails from one person to the other, he again was rude & unhelpful and needed constant chasing. At one point the mortgage progressor advised that he hadn't mentioned to our buyer to get a survey as it might hold up the process, we felt this to be underhand and unprofessional as we were of course happy that they buyer carry out a survey. Eventually a survey was carried out one week prior to exchange holding up the process further. The final straw came when we handed over the fees for this so called service and not a single person from Douglas Allen even bothered to notify us that the sale of our property had gone through or thank us for our business. I have tried to contact Douglas Allen on numerous occasions to ask for their comment on this matter to no avail again confirming just how unprofessional they really are. They have never asked me to leave a review which again hints at the fact that they are contacting those where all went well to leave reviews to skew their ratings

Tremendous thank you to the guys at chigwell douglas for selling my home they did a splendid job. Tricia, robin and jordan were all great the whole way through and I'm so glad i went with them. I was a bit nervous at first with all the viewings and what not but seeing trish and jordan run those open houses made me feel like i was in safe. They clearly done a good job. And even once it was sold robin and tanya kept me up to date with what was happening even outside of office hours which was great for me because I'm a bit of a workaholic. Thanks guys :)

Almost two years ago I was selling my house with Douglas Allen Chingford. They done a great job and secured me several offers over the price. Sadly some personal problems arose and I could not see it through. I called recently and was thrilled to learn that James who valued my home and jess who done all my viewing are still in the branch as I trusted them implicitly, so when it come to selling again I had no hesitation within two weeks I got an offer £12000 over the price I recommend them to all my friends thank you both for putting up with me

After our previous house with another agent fell-through at the last minute (only a few months before the baby) Douglas Adam stepped in and moved swiftly to book us viewings, advise us on the property when we found it, and helped push through negotiations and discussions. Maria and Jay in particular were always on hand to show us around (again) late at night, advise us on options and remained friendly throughout. A great team keen to help you find your next home. We'd happily recommend them to friends in the future

We contacted Michelle Hawthorne at the Chadwell Heath branch as we became responsible for selling a local property although we live in Kent. Michelle visited us and advised about the presentation and the pricing to enable us to get a wide buyer response. Regular contact with Michelle gave us confidence to leave the sale in the hands of the branch. Within days of the house being offered for sale there were more than 30 personal viewings and hundreds of contacts on the website. Buyers have been assessed and the most suitable person has been identified and is proceeding with the purchase. We think we were fortunate to have chosen Douglas Allen to handle the whole process for us and for Michelle to have been directly involved.

Just browsing through the reviews of Douglas Allen, Find it very strange indeed that a review by R GOODYEAR has been reported by Douglas Allen and removed because it contains the name of a staff member. Fair enough if they are the rules, however I suspect some foul play and skulduggery going on here, as the other reviews also name staff members. So if its a review that Douglas Allen finds pleasing, it is allowed to remain, and if it is not to their liking, they have it removed. Seems a bit unfair unless anyone can respond with a valid reason as to why this is, I think I will treat Douglas Allen with a great deal of suspicion. Douglas Allen, I guess is a name so if the rules are followed, then this review wont last long either.

Douglas Allen found us our first home. 2 years on and we needed to get a bigger property and so they were our first choice to sell with. We sold within a month and then they found us something too so I couldn't be happier with them. Before we exchanged contracts there were major problems with the chain and we were about to give up. Steve got involved and was making lots of calls and came up with a solution that meant we moved for Christmas so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We recently sold our house through Douglas Allen, and we couldn't be happier with the service.The person who's drawn us to Douglas Allen was Paul. The most impressive thing with him is he is so understanding, and that he seems always naturally stand in others' shoes when he answers questions, for example, there are a few times, he will answer the questions before they are asked. In my opinion it is a gift, and this impression was why we decided to list with Douglas Allen.The whole process was not incidence-free (as many other property transactions I suppose), especially it was right in the middle of referendum that led to Brexit. However, everyone in the office that I encountered, mainly Paul, Trevor, & Natasha remained calm, and they always tried their best to answer questions and solve our problems. I don't want to move house ever again (too much stuff!!), but if I ever come to the point of buying or selling again, I will definitely contact Douglas Allen first.

I am thinking of moving to woodford green. Last thursday i was looking at was on offer in the windows of various estate agents on the high street after eating in a local restaurant. It was after 8pm so all estate agents were closed accept Douglas Allen. Andy who is a sales advisor there was just leaving and asked if he could help. I explained i am not familiar with the area so was not sure where i needed to look. To my surprise he offered to give me a fast tour of the area in his car which i accepted when he insisted it was no bother. The fast tour took me everywhere in the area with useful information about every place. He then dropped me off at the station 45 minutes later - only then did i find out he was then driving down to Hastings. Amazing. I'm not sure if I will end up buying through Douglas Allen, but i want to. I will definitely want to sell with them when the time comes! Regards,Dee

I was very pleased with the services provided by Douglas Allen and would suggest that they truly are in a league of their own. They sold all of my 5 flats within 2 months and I would highly applaud the services of Tanya Keene ( Legal co ordinator) who ensured that the sales once agreed went through smoothly with the solicitors. Ahsan, Dmitry, Nabeel and the whole team were truly professional keeping me informed of progress in offers and negotiating with the purchasers. The marketing was also exceptional. Would certainly use this firm again. Probably best in Essex!

I don't live in London anymore however my elderly aunt does, the house is far to big for her to upkeep at her time of life so I arranged for three estate agents to come and give us a valuation so we would know her options. The first two came and they was very similar and what I would call "typical estate agents" the last agent was James from your E4 branch who is an absolute credit to your company! He saw straight away that my aunt was emotional and he spent the first 20 minutes telling her how him and his team would help her and guide her all the way through, he brought brochures of retirement property that they had sold recently and he genuinely cared. His local knowledge even impressed my aunt who was born in Chingford. I myself work in a job where customer service is vital and he was very impressive, my aunt loved him and when the family have decided what we are going to do there will be no question that we will appoint him.

Gregory at Douglas Allen Woodford office gave recently sold my second investment flat of the year. I had never used Douglas Allen before however in the future will be conning back to them. I always felt that the team where on my side and got a call back when I left a message. The sale took slightly longer to get to completion however I am sure without Steve and Keith pushing the solicitors it would have took even longer. Really nice set of guys in that office and was nice to meet Andy and the sales team before I had even started the viewings.
