Awful to deal with

We were asked to quote them for some windows in the NG2 area of Nottingham, we agreed a price, I informed them that we needed a contract signing and a deposit paying, I was asked to send the paperwork to a totally different email address, it was a maintenance companies email, we then received a call from a finance company asking if they could buy the windows directly from our suppliers, this immediately rang alarm bells, so I informed them that we would no longer carry on with the work, we then received a 1-star review on here, awful to deal with, phone calls to my mobile at 9pm, constantly messaging on whattsapp, I genuinely believe that we have had a lucky escape.

Wish I could give them zero stars

Wish I could give them zero stars. They are absolutely shocking. My elderly father had his holiday home in Paignton on sale with them for the last 6 months. They were rubbish from the start. Very little communication, always promise a call back, never bothered. They’d book a viewing and cancel it the same day. He had a cash buyer, who made a very cheeky offer that was excepted. 2 weeks later fell through, as the buyer pulled out. (Apparently) after watching the paranorma show on BBC about them, we see it’s a common sneaky tactic they use. Put off cash buyers in favour of someone taking out a mortgage. They called him last week and said he needs to drop by £10,000 to get people through the door. He’s not desperate to sell, so said no. Yesterday we sacked them after waiting or a week for them to call us back. They are pure filth, do not trust these people!! Any of them. He was dealing with the branch in Paignton. Absolutely shocking.

Really poor service

Really poor was selling my house through them I wish I hadn’t. Max a manager at Witney left (don't know why but don't blame him) no one told me he had left just silence - no returned calls. They just do a lot of sitting around. No one seems to know what’s going on they never call back and can never really speak to anyone who knows about the sale. I have sold many houses in my time but these have to be the worst agent I have used. Feedback is non existent. A really poor experience. AVOID.

Honest and transparent from day one made it easy to know what the costs and service would be. The entire team was dedicated to achieving the best outcome possible in a good time frame. I would give them a minus 10 if I could We live in Dorset sold a property in Parkstone Poole. Always felt that connells were more interested in the wants and needs of the buyer. Tried to bully us int a mortgage provider but being two old birds that had been around the block we refused They threatened us saying we needed to move out if we wanted to guarantee the sale even though the property we were moving into the owners had not moved yet They tried to get us to move into rented accommodation even though they knew we had young children so they could complete a sale In the end we refused to be bullied or harassed we did not move and we waited Eventually we got our sale moved to our home in ferndown despite connells I am sure connells are good estaste agents but don't let them sell you a mortgage If they do they have leverage They had no leverage with us We implicitly told them to wait or stick it They had no alternative They had no mortgage Info from us through an in-house mortgage provider BEWARE Estate agents sell Mortgage broker provide mortgages Never the twain should meet

Have been using this company for a fully managed service on our rental property. To provide a balanced review - here's the positives:They will invoice you for their costs on time. The in team branch do their best to help but are at the mercy of a dysfunctional corporate business model....now to the negatives:The remote "support centre" team are anything but supportive. There is a lack of accountability, communication and follow up. Simple tasks such as informing energy suppliers of tenancy changes take months to get resolved. Communication flows from the tenant to landlord are poor. Chasing outstanding issues such as overdue rent or maintenance tasks feels like a tick box exercise which results in further delay / lack of action. Good luck if you have a deposit dispute as they will give you zero support. Most frustrating of all is the fact that I have escalated these issues on multiple occasions to give the company a chance to resolve and yet I find myself in the same place.My simple advice is please do your research and consider very carefully before using this outfit for a tenancy service.

Dishonest

Dishonest. Blandford branch have taken advantage of an elderly lady which will result in her paying double agency fees, due to ignoring her instructions and advising her incorrectly just to suit their own agendas. As an agent myself I will always stay in my own lane and never call into question the service of another agent, but on this occasion I am so appalled by their actions that I feel they need to be held accountable.

Bad property management

I signed a change of management contract for a property already rented. Rent for the month had not been paid. Contract was signed around the 10th, and at the end of the month the arreas rent had not been pursued. I lost money on mortgage interest.
