One of the WORSE experiences I have had with a letting agency!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!!! They will make you sign completely unethical terms and conditions when you join (fine prints) and when you question their practice after you're no longer using their services, PETER the manager will attempt to argue with you and eventually put the phone down on you when you're making sense and he can't respond!!!. THEY HAVE AN AGREEMENT WITH OVO ELECTRICITY COMPANY TO TAKE OVER THE ELECTRICITY OF YOUR HOUSE...even when they know that there are no tenants in the house and they're no longer managing your house! No emails, no calls to remind or let you know that they have done this...I asked the manager why??? He said I should take it up with head office!...I think that says enough!

I chose Abbotts to sell my flat in July . Started off great until they closed the deal with me. Then once it was live on website, there was no communication I had to chase and chase for weeks and months for an update. The flat was not sold nor did they care about my situation being heavily pregnant and needing a quick sale. To be honest David was alright when he was at work. I can honestly say from July to October I’ve had about 3 calls from them , I complained to customer service and they promised to be contacted more often but that didn’t change anything . Finally gave up as still not been called back after 3 weeks of trying, then on Friday I told them that I’m picking up my keys and they took it off the market/website the same day😂. They’re quick to do that but I’m still waiting for a call back after 3 weeks 😂 honestly it’s shocking. Personally I would NEVER use this agent again. Maybe buying /letting is different but selling is a hard no.

Bairstow Sutton In Ashfield branch has been wonderful. We have had bad experiences before with moving houses. The staff there put us at ease straight away. Bethany came and valued it. Updated us every step of the way, later helped me sort all paperwork. Laura and Lisa were there to ease out nerves and Ebony kept us informed throughout, chasing up our questions to solicitors and the other estate agent. All the team were professional and efficient. But most of all caring about their clients.

We got 3 different agents to value our house. We decided on Abbotts as Daniel came across as very genuine and solution focussed. He helped us realise how much the house was worth and why. He came to measure and photo the rooms a few days later, this is when it got very interesting. I went to meet the broker in Abbotts, only to be asked during our meeting when the house was ready to view, as someone may be interested. We left some keys with them and didn't give it a second thought. 2 days later, we accepted an offer at the asking price. This all happened before any signage, or photos were put up on the web. Any queries we had about the house were responded to very quickly. Just get things done.ß Well done Abbotts, especially Daniel, Lee and David.

We traveled 50mins to see a property because we were considering to travel the distance. The Coventry branch wouldn’t pick up and the vendor was kind enough to show us around. I have since had no call back to check for feedback. When we went to see another property previous to this I was told by that vendor that there was a delay from this estate agent (I ended up booking the viewing with another) but I was told by the vendor I was the “same woman” so far I’m shocked at their service and frankly it’s put us off from wanting to move to their area. House sale fail due to Agent mismanagement.

Unfortunately not a great experience with Bairstow In Kirbky-In-Ashfield. Of course they are very polite and all that, but I have to report that I believe they are responsible for a house sale falling through. What should of been a minor/nothing complaint from a neighbour was ignored for around a month despite them receiving daily phone calls and e-mails. Eventually when the pressure was too much for them to ignore they decided to contact the buyer in the closing stages rather than myself, which scared him off. I then had to chase up what was happening as they firstly ignored me and then denied knowledge of any complaint at all - acting as if i was bringing the news to them after I found out through the buyer coming to my home telling me it's off. The 'problem' could of easily be averted between me and the neighbour had I been told.

Very poor communication & unprofessional experience. I would not recommend using the Cannock branch. Lack of dedicated service to sell a property when we are the paying customers, no faith in them doing anything they say, if you can get in touch with them the right person will never be there and they will be blame it on someone else.
