Truly awful firm. I struggle to comprehend the positive reviews, because based on my experience, I would rather be homeless than rent a flat managed by ABC. When you have one job, which is literally managing a flat and landlord-tenant communications, and you fail to do it, that’s when you know you should probably move into a different field, one that doesn’t require attention to detail, timeliness or communication skills. They managed a flat I rented for 3 years. Took almost a year to fix a leak that started as a result of their contractors leaving their waste material at the entrance of the flat, and despite asking them repeatedly, never cleaned that area, which by that stage was soaked with chemicals from paint and waste from the broken pipe. The bathroom had pretty toxic mould that took a year of me emailing every week to renovate, but the renovations were done in such a way that the mould will continue building up, requiring a new bathroom every 2-3 years. When there was a leak from the flat above and the wallpaper started falling off, no one dealt with it, it remained there for over 2 years.They generally failed to relay many of my comments, questions or concerns to the landlord, leading to a lot of miscommunication, particularly at the end of the tenancy. Until I moved into my new flat, I thought perhaps this was normal, but now I understand it’s incompetent, lazy, inept and generally inadequate people failing spectacularly at their job. I am elated that the chapter of my life when ABC managed a flat I rented, is over.

If it was possible to give no stars in order to protect tenants and landlords from this company I would do that. A search of Davidoff on google should inform potential customers. Do yourresearch. They are aggressive and bullying in their tactics and breach their fiduciary duties in the search for money. Shame on them. Avoid at all costs please although I’m sure they will be prevented from practising soon as investigations continue into their unprofessional practice.

Thank you for your review. Your review is not accurate and you did not explain the facts, we will do so now. You applied to rent a property via our Agency, you sent us the holding deposit & references and we commenced your application. You then decided to pull out of the deal as you wanted a property closer to your work, however the terms which were sent to you before you paid the deposit stipulate the deposit is non-refundable if the applicant pulls out of the deal. We told you we prefer you continue your application to rent the property. Legislation permits Agents to retain holding deposits if the applicant withdraws from the deal. We have done nothing wrong and we did not ‘steal’ your money, you forfeited your holding deposit because you decided you wanted a property in a different location, in future it might be prudent to pick a property in your preferred area before paying a holding deposit. Kindly take responsibility for your own decisions instead of blaming us as we did nothing wrong. We wish you luck in your future endeavours.

GooglePossibly the worst Managing Agent I have ever dealt with in my life. Do not even entertain, consider or think about trusting them with your freehold or any other services for that matter. They are the definition of untrustworthy. All they want is your money when all you want is to be able to trust them with whatever you are dealing with - in my case a Property Managing Agent that executes works at competitive and realistic prices to ensure your building is in tact. However the antithesis of this happened - nothing was looked into until monies were received from our absent freeholder (which of course they weren't received).........hang on, wasn't that why we instated ABC/Richard Davidoff in the first place? To take care of our building BECAUSE our freeholder was absent? Nothing was fixed, no major works but nearly all of our reserve fund has disappeared. But on what?NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleI highly recommend you avoid this agency, the do not care about the landlord or the potential tenant.. all they do is try and take peoples money and waste their precious time and scam them. Please avoid!!!

Maria, you have conveniently left out a few details. We submitted your references and bank statements to Homelet for authentication and approval. HomeLet advised us that you failed due to false/fraudulent paperwork. Legally that would be valid grounds to forfeit your holding deposit, nevertheless we refunded every penny despite wasting many man hours, incurring referencing costs and turning away other potentially good tenants whilst processing your mother and her guarantors all of whom failed referencing. We had no choice but to reject the applicants with dodgy references to protect our clients. Your allegations of ‘all they do is try and take peoples money‘ are totally misplaced as we didn't earn a penny. We only get paid when we close a deal. The fake references would have entitled us to forfeit the deposit had we chosen to do so, but we had refunded the deposit in full to your mother? as soon as Homelet advised us of the situation.
