Threatening and Disorganised

I have been with finders keepers since August last year and still they fail to contact me regarding problems, maintenance and viewings. Furthermore there have been extended periods without a working shower, extractor and boiler resulting in me having to shower at the gym or my work. The company constantly flip flops on decisions and has made serious threats toward the other resident here who is a vulnerable adult result in severe physical and mental health problems. Do not use this company.

Not impressed!

I called to enquire about a 2 bed house advertised for rent. Only to be told that the property could not be let to a family of 3. They wanted someone that's single or a couple. Even though they said it was landlord's preference, which I'm sure isn't true. We've called them on a few properties and their response has been that the landlord doesn't want to let to someone with a child.

A totally dishonest and unprofessional estate agent who neither look after the landlords or the tenants. We were forced to end our tenancy early due to work commitments and they enforced their penalty charge of £1,100 to re-advertise the property. This they said was to cover their expenses - they charge £125/hr ex VAT!! - No advertising board was placed outside the property. - It took over a week for the property to go online and they refused to take new pictures. - The staff failed to turn up for 3 viewings, we had to show the potential customers around. - One potential tenant knocked on our door and asked to look round the property as the member of staff from FK 'had no idea about the details of the house or where anything was'. - They charged us for referencing and admin of the new tenant and also then charged the new tenant the same fees. We were also made to wait an extra week before we took out the tenancy as they has essential work to carry out. They did not do this and we had rain coming in through the front and rear door. They also failed to fix a leaking gutter which caused substantial black mould in the lounge. As a previous reviewer said, this estate agent is the worst I have ever encountered - dishonest and unprofessional. We are currently in dispute with them as after 6 weeks we have yet to receive our deposit back and also due to the exorbitant early penalty fee.

Absolutely shocking service from start to finish- worst estate agents I’ve dealt with in my 10 years of renting! Be prepared to call and chase them for days on end for any jobs to be done, to only be promised a call back each time which never happens!! We had a broken boiler in winter that took well over a week of us constantly calling and emailing. Having no heating and hot water is just a basic necessity and they didn’t have any sense of urgency (or sympathy for that matter) over this at all. Frequently letting themselves into our property without warning or asking us before hand- plain and simple rude. One day I was in bed (by myself, a young female alone) after a night shift, and three work men came stomping up my stairs saying finders keepers gave them my keys to take some sort of meter reading which is located in the loft.... totally inappropriate and scared me half to death! Was never apologised to for this. Absolutely chaotic, uncaring and dreadful company. If you’re looking for an estate agents- trust me, finders keepers are not the ones. As a side note: looking through these reviews, I can see 2 of these 5 star reviews are written by non other than the employees themselves, the ones I recognise anyway- there could be more!... I think I’d trust these truly honest 1-2 star reviews and disregard those biased marketing ploys of getting employees to rate their own business? How ridiculous. Bottom line: don’t use finders keepers!

Worst estate agents I've ever encountered and deserve 0 stars. A very disorganised office that you will have to harass at least 15 times(or more) to actually get any issues sorted. Tried to set up bills to charge me before my tenancy even started and lied about taking meter readings. Rude and unwilling to help with maintenance problems. All in all don't rent from this company, they DO NOT care about the tenants at all and will make moving house the most stressful experience, they can't abide with health and safety laws and regulations ( I've been waiting 5 months for them to sort out mould issues, here before I moved in), they are rude and patronising who will completely rip you off for every penny. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

Disgusting

I have never been treated so appalling in my life. The wooden flooring throughout the downstairs lifted resulting in not able to close/open doors. We contacted on weekly basis but nobody in the office could help and nobody ever called back. Further things broke which never got corrected. In the end we had to move out. But finders keepers did there up most to make everything as difficult and expensive as possible. I would never recommend this company they are so unprofessional and just want your money.

The service that I receive at Finders Keepers is first class and extremely professional. I find that all of the staff at my local branch are very polite and helpful in fact much better than I could have imagined before using their services. They go the extra mile and make me feel like I am part of their family. I can honestly say that the service that I receive is the best that I have ever had in my local area and better that most companies or organisations that I deal with.
