Do not rent from these people
Do not rent from these people. They are an absolute nightmare. From day one they will extort any fee from you they can and when you leave the property they will continue to extort from your deposit. I have been renting in Oxfordshire for 30 years and they are the worst I have experienced. The property management is a nightmare. It took them over six months to fix a leak in the bathroom by which time the water damage was extensive. They do not acknowledge any improvements you make to the property. I fixed a wobbling doorstep, repainted the front door, garage door, and window surrounds as well as the fascia, at my own personal expense, but they extorted £280 from my deposit for some scuffed paintwork and minor damage to a carpet which hadn't had any work done to it despite annual intrusive inspections. They said they would try to keep us as sitting tenants by seeking investors to sell the property to, but absolutely no attempt was made to do this. So pleased to be finally rid of them. Absolute nightmare company.

Where is my deposit? Taylors Oxford
After more than two month of leaving my tenancy with Taylors Oxford, I have no received my deposit. this are almost £900.The claims for deduction are £0.00, so I cannot open a dispute because we agree on the amount to be given back. Anyway, those £900 have never been given back. The person on charge doesn't reply to my emails.Avoid this company 100%

Shambolic, avoid if possible
You deal with the local agents to view and sign the contract for the property, The inventory is sent by email after you have moved in which is too late, another dept based in a different part of the country deals with repairs. When you leave you deal with yet another drpt in another part of the country and then the inventory when you leave is done days after you have vacated by yet another dept in yet another part of the country. Inventory aren't cross referenced but the one when you leave is done in far more detail than the one given you when you move in. For example and filthy bathroom with cupboards full of sanitary items and burnt candles missed! Missed but on the leaving inventory dust on the mantlepiece picked up. None of the dept talk to each other and none get back to you either. 18 days after moving out still no response about my deposit. Avoid this agency if at all possible, 33yrs of renting and worse agency I have come across

Incompetent and disorganised
Slow staff, very impersonal, made moving that much harder. After seeing a property on rightmove we contacted Taylor’s in the middle of August 22. They said they would be in touch and never contacted us. We rang a further 5 times, offered to pay a holding deposit and explained we needed to be moved by mid September at the latest, had sorted out finance and checks all ourselves to speed the process along. Each time we were told no one had taken our details and never contacted. Today (October 4th) I have just received my first phone call from them asking if I’m still wanting to move.

Aylesbury & Bicester - Answer your damn phones!
Over the past 6 weeks or so we have seen several properties advertised on zoopla or rightmove from Taylors that we wanted to ask some questions about and book a simple viewing.. Sadly, it feels that the staff at the Aylesbury and Bicester branches simply do not exist. We have called multiple times across the weeks and even several times a day and each time no one picks up. Given how fast the property market is moving currently naturally you want to pester them to just talk to someone. No one ever returns calls, no one ever answers emails or messages. By far the worst estate agents in the area due to this fact and lets be honest, the bar is hardly set high within this sector but the basics are just not there.

Failure to assist tenants of Cardiff development from bankruptcy
I am writing this review as I am one of the tenants of a large development in Cardiff Bay area who are experiencing an abundance of problems with the company that manage our site, namely Firstport. We are one of hundreds of developments that having what is regarded 'unsafe cladding' and we need to get this resolved as quickly as possible, but Firstport are dragging their feet and are charging us well over and above that of comparative managing companies. We are therefore looking to self-manage or find a managing comany that charge a lot less. We know there are several around as we've done our research.Unfortunately, the delevopment I reside in are mainly occupied through letting agents, such as Taylors and we have been in touch with them and asked if they would be kind enough to contact their clients to ask for their support. We have been told any times they are happy to do this, but after many months are still waiting. This is my reason for naming and shaming them as without them and other letting agents' assistance we will not be able to change the management of our site and some people are going bankrupt because of the astronomical charges. We do not see that we are asking for anything big here, just a generic email being sent to their clients, as this would mean a potential large financial gain for these clients and is therefore to their advantage to be made aware of the situation.

A truly horrible experience
Having spent over six months attempting to purchase a house through this agent I cannot offer any other advise other than to avoid them at all costs. From withholding information which ultimately aided the sale falling through to receiving persistent and aggressive phone calls I simply don't have a good word to say about the Gloucester branch. All three agents that I dealt with were neither knowledgeable or provided satisfactory customer service and on several occasions where tight deadlines were due to be met, they simply turned their email and phone off and ignored it until it was too late. The sale fell through only to see it relisted on the website the same day for a significant amount more with no communication as to if we would be willing to pay the additional beforehand. These agents should be offering advice to sellers around the actual value of their properties as opposed to just appeasing them which is all they seem effective at.With the sale falling through on this property on 24th June we have since exchanged on another property which goes to show it can be done quickly, effectively and professionally; sadly just not when it comes to Taylors.

All staff at Taylor’s were helpful, professional and sympathetic through this rather long haul selling a rather neglected property. Mo particularly was supportive and always optimistic. Very importantly the phone is always answered - accessibility is very important so thanks Mo and Jake for your services and help! Ann CPositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

If I could give a zero I would
If I could give a zero I would. I moved into my flat with the previous tenants belongings still here, including used razors, rubbish in bins, stained cushions, clumps of hair, I could go on. I recieved no genuine compassion or understanding, or compensation. They use a management agency under the name Countrywide.I initially reported signs of damp on viewing the property. A year on (after multiple reports through their portal and emailing direct) they've decided to rip up the floorboards to tackle the damp problem and leave an industrial dehumidifier that I'm expected to run 24/7. 5 Weeks on I'm still living like this with no communication (despite my best efforts) for nearly 3 weeks and no end date specified for the works. They're the worst Estate agency I have ever dealt with through nearly a decade of rentals. They've been utterly useless and made my life hell. Avoid at all costs. They don't care once you've signed the dotted line.

Dealing with Lesley has always been rewarding in terms of her advice patient and effort to achieve the result we want rather than the usual compromise. You can always speak to her rather than some faceless computer website and both she and Kyle have reduced my landlord stress I highly recommend this Branch for managing BTL
Thank you for your 5* review and kind words about your experience with our local team. Kind regards, Scott

Great for purchases
While I did not rent a property from this agency, I did purchase a home via them. I had fantastic help from Luke Dumburs and Paul Berkley, based in the Stony Stratford branch, who were fantastic in updating me on the situation; asking me for my decisions regarding the design of the new build property; keeping in contact with the developer; and most of all, sold me what was on the tin.

I dealt with Mo for the purchase of my property, who was always available on the phone, helped move the purchase along, and offered me the reassurances I needed. Thank you Mo.
