Very recently used Alexander & Co as a first time buyer and viewed a couple of properties with Alexander & Co. Each member of staff I spoke with was very friendly and professional, there were no issues with any arrangements or questions. Staff wore face masks and were hygiene conscious by default. After proceeding to offer on a property I was speaking with Hannah who was very prompt, informative and responsive. After this, Angela took over to help see things through to completion. As a first time Buyer who was new to the process I cannot thank or praise Angela enough for her assistance. I had difficulties with my Solicitors throughout the process (and honestly wish I'd used a solicitor recommended by A&C after initial uncertainty was expressed over mine) and can honestly say the process would have taken much longer, been much more confusing and could have potentially fallen through without Angela's support. At very few times where Angela couldn't be reached due to holiday, Hannah was able to update me and pass updates back and forth in the meantime. After a very painful experience with my solicitors we reached completion and I cannot fault my experience with Alexander & Co at all. Angela had put a lot of time and effort into seeing things through from start to completion and remained patient, supportive and understanding throughout, mediating the process despite the delays with my Solicitors. Hannah was supportive when Angela wasn't available and the team obviously communicate and work well.

I was a tenant of a 4-bed property managed by Alexander & Co from 2022-2023. Throughout the tenancy the property management was efficient and professional. Amber Blower had a good approach to finding solutions to maintenance problems that balanced the cost efficiency expectations of the landlord with the time and quality expectations of the tenant. She naturally seems to treat people as individuals and as human beings, even when tensions are raised. The digital services employed were most effective in all our communications, which were open and timely. In the round, my renting experience with Alexander & Co was positive.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! PLEASE. They are dishonest and rude and treat tenants like dirt. Please research other tenants similar complaints on their Facebook page including our own story. 5 * reviews are not from tenants. Feel free to get in contact as I do not want anyone else going through what we're going through now. The response from Derek Turney is untrue. No complaints have been dealt with to my knowledge. I have dealt with Matt (Terrell) on a number of occasions - I bought my first house from him, he sold that same house for me, and now I will be looking to sell again with him. My continued repeat custom is testament to Matt's service, being extremely accommodating to your needs, being very polite and always so very helpful, assisting you through what is a rather stressful time with buying and selling! Matt Terrell is charming (in a good way) persuasive and on the ball. From the first point of contact to completion of the sale, I received honest feedback. The process’s Alexander & Co have in place, gives you confidence that they are really working to achieve a sale on your behalf. I received a text to say who was viewing, time & date. Then after the viewing, a call, email or text form Matt, Harriet or Angela, none of the “It’s his day off or someone will get back to you”. Matt took fantastic photos and put together a comprehensive write up of the property, displaying it in a unique way, which would appeal to buyers rather than a copy & paste summary. Our experience with Alexander & Co was genuinely second to none. We’d been house hunting for a few weeks with no success, viewing boring properties, shown around by bored letting agents. Then in our first viewing with Alexander & Co, Lara showed us around a property in Fairfield Leys, and although the property wasn’t quite what we were looking for, Lara was incredibly attentive and took the time to get to know us as renters, establishing our needs, wants, habits, budget and dislikes. Before we had even left the original property she had a better idea of what we were looking for than we did and promptly showed us around another flat. It had everything we needed at a great price, with minimal drawbacks. If you want to look around houses, you can go anywhere, but if you need a bit more help and a genuine personalised service I can not recommend Lara and Alexander & Co highly enough.

As a landlord now living too far away to manage my property, having an agent that I trust to manage the complete letting experience has been invaluable. Although the whole team are approachable and professional when dealing with my calls or emails, it is Frida that really impresses. Keeping me informed of ever changing legal requirements and communicating in a clear, friendly manner with speedy replies have ensured that I am best placed to make informed decisions concerning my property. He has good contacts in the industry and can be called for if needed. Have been using this Letting Agency since they were Hartwells. I chose them specifically as they had good reviews and a good reputation from all the other Letting Agents in Aylesbury. (Some friends who were landlords warned me that some agents were "All for the tenant" and not helpful to the Landlord at all). I can honestly say, A&Co (and formerly Hartwells) have been very supportive to me as the Landlord since the very beginning. As a first time landlord back in 2015, they were very helpful in explaining everything I needed to have in place, and my first 2 years as a Landlord went like a dream. When my second tenant moved in, it had to be a very quick turnaround and they were very good at getting things done so I didn't lose out on rental income for long. When Hartwells became Alexander & Co, it was a relatively smooth transition. My only gripe soon after was that there were a few communication issues, which so happened to fall when it was the tenancy renewal period. This was partly owing to my account handler suddenly leaving and someone else being on leave. I felt things could have been handled a bit better and was able to have a discussion about this with A&Co. Once my new account manager (Amy C) was established, she has been excellent in resolving issues where they've cropped up and offered advice and support to my endless questions! I do appreciate having A&Co as my Letting Agents as I am not local to my rental property, and we now have a good system going should any issues arise. They have also been very clear when legalities and law changes happen as that side of things overwhelms me in trying to keep up! I would highly recommend them!

When looking for our new home we could not have been any luckier than with Alexander & Co. Lara was our host, and let me tell you, that lady knows exactly what we needed not what we asked for. She was absolutely superb, neatly side-stepping the problem houses, and taking us to absolutely not what we asked for but exactly what we needed. Lara's skills saved us money and found us a wonderful home. I could not recommend her enough. I would never normally leave a review but I am leaving one today due to Lara's impeccable service. This is even without any pressure from Lara or Alexander & Co. Exceptional customer service, if only I could leave six stars!

We have just picked the keys up for our first property. We tried a lot of the agents in Aylesbury and I have to say that from the start that Alexander and co where great. They contacted us very efficiently when a property came on the market, unlike some of the agents we registered with. Within 2 weeks we have secured the property and had the mortgage in place. I would really like to thank Angela in sales progression as she was amazing. She was so happy for us and she progressed things through very quickly. We have just picked up the keys and they included a goody bag with cleaning bits and pieces and a signed card from all the staff in the department. It is such a good service and I would highly recommend...
